  1. I sometimes wonder if this is getting too much... I mean bringing Sunni sources everytime someone asks a question. Do not get me wrong, this is all well and good when presenting them with a proof and debating them, but the one asking this question is a Shi'ite. And let's be honest, do we take our 'aqidah from others? No, we don't.. So it doesn't really matter in this case whether or not they mention it, we aren't in need of that.
  2. If I knew the art of lucid dreaming I would use it to go visit Karbala and other shrines :'(... Those who are into this, tell me if you're able to do that?
  3. This is the official site for Sayyid Kamal al Haydari: http://www.alhaydari.com
  4. (salam) The names of his daughters (as) are named Fatimah. Ruqayyah, Sukaynah etc are nicknames.

  6. (salam) Khums is al-Zahra's (sa) right over all her Shi3a. First of all, sadaqah is 7aram on them and secondly, where are you possibly going to find them an appropriate gift?
  7. (salam) I have heard that the reason the Shi'ites wear black is a sign of opposition and prostest against the injustice done upon Ahlul Bayt (as).
  8. Lol dishy. I guess there isn't a problem continuing to do that. Just gotta teach myself to be satisfied with what I have  At the moment I don't think so.
  9. Yeah. I actually have one, it would just be nice to have a matching black dishdasha (the darkest ones I have are either brown or grey).
  10. (bismillah) (salam) I am looking for a black dishdasha and that green piece of clothing usually worn on ones shoulders (hope you know what I'm reffering to). Any help getting this would be very appreciated. With salams and du3a.
  11. (wasalam) Shortly, it is for those who do not see the path of Ahlul Bayt (as) as enough. Yes to the first. 3irfan is from Ahlul Bayt (as) and their Shi3a only. I wouldn't call tasawwuf a 'Sunni phenomenon' seeing as how the origins of this as an organized movement cannot really be called Muslim. I see it as an Abbaside phenomenon, for they are the ones who truly aided and funded this movement in Khurasan. They took the zuhd of Ahlul Bayt (as) and particularly Imam al-Ridha (as) and turned it to tasawwuf. You will notice for yourself that before the Abbaside caliphs there was no tasawwuf. Th
  12. (salam) Dear 1987, If killing the grandson of the Prophet (pbuh), attacking the Ka3bah, putting the women and children of Ahlul Bayt (as) in prison, drinking wine, raising monkeys etc etc ... No, in short I want to ask you .. If Yazid (may Allah blacken his face) is not an accursed one, who is?
  13. (salam) Yes, that is my point brother :) In the time of the Prophet (pbuh) they descended towards him as he is the best of creation. However, laylat al-qadr didn't just happen once. It happens every year. As you know we believe in the Justice of Allah. So if it descends to someone who does not posses the same qualities and attributes of Rasoul Allah (pbuh) then it is not just. Therefore it has to be someone who is like him and who has inherited that Prophetic knowledge. Now all we need to do is go to back to history which will confirm to us the successorship of Amir al-Mu'minin (as) and all th
  14. (salam) 1. This is Qur'an, it doesn't get more logical than this. 2. As I prooved before (kindly read what I wrote again), the Imam in question must posses the attributes of Rasoul Allah (pbuh). Kareem Agha Khan certainly does not do this and Islam rejects outright any notion of "suspending shari3ah". 3. How is this irrelevant? Suratul Qadr is a heavy proof for the Imam's (as) existence.
  15. To the OP: - Surat al-Qadr.I'd like to ask you, does laylat al-qadr still take place? If you tell me no, then it is kufr and if you tell me yes then I have yet another question. To whom do the angels and the Spirit descend with the book of our deeds? To you or me? Certainly not, and it is not an option either to say that they do not descend down on that night because that is also kufr. It's logical and without doubt one would say Rasoul Allah (pbuh), however, that was in the days before his death. Therefore we can conclude that there must be someone who the angels descend to on that night who
  16. May Allah bless brother dingdong and all who have contributed to this beautiful post!
  17. Islam is not based on prejudice whatsoever and it's a ridiculous theory in question here. First of all, it goes against our belief in Divine Justice that Allah punishes an entire nation based on what some transgressors who lived on that land long ago did, and second, since Allah sent the Prophet (pbuh) the punishing of nations for their sins and transgressions was discontinued as an honour to him. Iraq is a blessed land and it is where most members of the A'immah (as) are buried. There is Amirul Mu'minin (as), Imam al 7usayn (as) - and do not forget that the earth of Karbala' is a piece of hea
  18. Wouldn't it be a good idea to double check these facts, then, before stating them? Sayyid Fadhlallah is not the spiritual mentor of 7izballah, nor has either side ever stated so. And there is absolutely no reason to do taqiyyah.. From who and for what??? In case you haven't noticed the majority in Lebanon today are Shi'ites and don't come and tell me from Israel. And let's pretend that what you were saying was true, then you just blew the cover of your marja3.. lol.
  19. Pardon my ignorance, reformer.. But may I ask you how you got your job as a representative of Sayyid Fadhlallah?
  20. Inna lillah! This is what we've come to today. I must apologise for being so frank but no one but a fool rejects Ziyarat 3ashoura! It's a 7adith qudsi and it was given from Jibrail to Rasoul Allah (pbuh) and then to Fatimah al-Zahra (sa) on the day of Aba 3abdillah's (as) birthday. Wallah, whoever is waging a war against the ziyarah of Imam al 7usayn (as) is waging a war on the Imam himself, no matter what your name is. It is a sign of how weak a person is when he is rejecting this ziyarah. Wilayah has departed from his heart. Your books are all good and fine, but did your religion not give yo
  21. (salam) Reformer, I beg to differ with regards to what you've said. Why is it that some people have it so easy asking for the solution and help to some problems during their lives from various people, but when it comes to asking it from the most exalted of creation they think of it as shirk? The principle of tying one's camel, then doing tawakkul holds true also when it comes to the verse of al-Fati7a "Only Thee do we worship, and only Thee do we ask for help". Tell me please, am I a mushrik if the next time my knee hurts and I consult the doctor? No, I am not. I am simply using my logic to co
  22. That issue is a million years old. We all know that according to Ayat. Fadhlallah, there is no problem in tawassul done properly and with some understanding of it. It is a part of both the Qur'an and sunnah. I would think twice before comparing the two or using Sayyid Fadhlallah to somehow make the view of Zakir Naik look less serious.
  23. Hipocrisy at it's best. If Israel was meant to be for the Jewish people and God has promised you this land, why is it that your constitution in the first place is man-made by a bunch of irreligious secularists *who, mind you, were not even born in Palestine*?
  24. (salam) I always enjoy reading your posts, Armans Wife (though I hardly ever respond to them). I think what you are doing is an amazing job. Not many Muslim sisters today can imitate that female strength and courage like Fatimah al-Zahra (as) and Sayyidah Zaynab (as), but you have managed to do so. This behaviour of yours is what brings their love to the hearts and their remembrance alive. I have no doubt that you will find a job at a decent school, God willing. Just keep firm as you've been doing so far, and soon you'll see that it pays off :)
