I am not sure if he had a high or low IQ. Being evil doesn't mean having a low IQ. In fact, highly intelligent people can be very dangerous or very useful.
Anyway, playing chess makes you think continuously and carefully, to increase your power of concentration and try to find more than one solution for each dilemma.
Alcoholic drinks have destructive effects on the brain and consequently (if used frequently), on intelligence.
According to most scholars, who are currently alive, playing chess is not haram if it is not played as a gamble or considered so by the society.

    Hello Christian Lady;
The antagonism between US and Iran dates back to decades ago (before revolution in Iran). British and American govrenments used to interfer in our political affairs. The former appointed Reza Shah as Iranian king and the latter picked Muhammad Reza Shah. If they were really pro-democracy, they would allow people to choose their king/ruler/ president/ ..., but they didn't!
Another reason for this hostility is this incident:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_Air_Flight_655
As you can read in the above link, a civilian airliner was shut down by Americans leading to murder of 290 people. US never apologized for this crime and instead the perpetrators were awarded and recieved medals!
    Another reason:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_support_for_Iraq_during_the_Iran%E2%80%93Iraq_war
United States support for Iraq during the Iran–Iraq War, against post-revolutionary Iran, included several billion dollars worth of economic aid, the sale of dual-use technology, non-U.S. origin weaponry, military intelligence, Special Operations training, and direct involvement in warfare against Iran.[2][3]
Support from the U.S. for Iraq was not a secret and was frequently discussed in open session of the Senate and House of Representatives. On June 9, 1992, Ted Koppel reported on ABC's Nightline, "It is becoming increasingly clear that George Bush, operating largely behind the scenes throughout the 1980s, initiated and supported much of the financing, intelligence, and military help that built Saddam's Iraq into the power it became",[4] and "Reagan/Bush administrations permitted—and frequently encouraged—the flow of money, agricultural credits, dual-use technology, chemicals, and weapons to Iraq."[5]
If American government supported peace and humanity, why did it help the invader (instead of helping the invaded)?
    Christian Lady;
I am not going to upset you. You are a very good peaceful woman. But there are many reasons for hating American government. How can the crimes Us commited against the civilian people of Vietnam, Japan, Afghanistan and Iraq be overlooked?

What are your complaints? All people face different problems in their lives but most of the time, these problems are not sent by God but their causes lie in ourselves, other people or the society (I am not going to blame you for your problems because I dont know what they are; I mean that can we say God decided to create these problems in your life?).
If your parents or other people created these problems, you can complain against them (on the Day of Judgement) but why complain against God? I think that if you face unjust problems and difficulties in your life, in the afterlife God will compensate you for all of them.
As to Satan, I think even if he repents honestly and if he stops commiting sins and therefore, God decides to forgive him, he will be punished for some or all of his sins but at least he wont remain in hell for ever.

For Champagne they suggest ginger ale, sparkling cranberry or white grape juice or sparkling apple cider.

I believe that if your complaints are reasonable, He will accept them. If He doesnt accept reasonable complaints, can we say that He is just? At the same time, I believe that his judgement is so accurate that we can not make any reasonable complaint against it. We may feel that our complaints are quite reasonable (We may feel so because of misunderstanding or our lack of knowledge) but I believe that on the Day of Judgement, God will clear up any kind of misunderstanding and will show us why our complaints are not reasonable.
By the way, I don't think that Satan will inevitably go to hell. He still has opportunity to repent.

Didn't Jesus(a) speak Hebrew? Hebrew and Arabic are very similar. I think they have the same origin.
The word "Allah" is very similar to the word "Elohim" ( אֱלוֹהִים , אלהים). I think some Jews believe that Allah is originally a Hebrew word.
Some Jews also have names like "Abdallah", ....
There are some articles in which the authors investigate the archaic meanings of Some Quranic words in Hebrew and Aramaic languages.

^ Thanks for the post. Perhaps I wasn't clear about my statements.
Yes, you are correct that God would never do injustice. The Qur'an is a clear proof of this.
"Allah bears witness that there is no god but He, and (so do) the angels and those possessed of knowledge, maintaining His creation with justice; there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise." (3:18)
"Then how will it be when We shall gather them together on a day about which there is no doubt, and every soul shall be fully paid what it has earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly?" (3:25)
"These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth, and Allah does not desire any injustice to the creatures." (3:108)
"To remind, and We are never unjust." (26:209)
However, I avoided the theological arguments for the justice of God because it presupposes the validity of the Qur'an (something not everyone accepts). Rather I was attempting to show that the very concept of justice / injustice cannot apply to God from a philosophical perspective. We have no right over God to claim injustice. Technically, He can do whatever He pleases. We didn't have any rights over Him before we were created and neither do we now.
We may hate the idea of God torturing someone, but this has nothing to do with the actual "problem of evil." (Again, God would never do this but that's beside the point) This is simply an appeal to our sentiments. For instance, MysticNight asked about God torturing a baby for fun. He could have very well asked about any innocent person, regardless of age or gender. However, an infant seems far more innocent to us and so the thought of God doing such a thing makes Him appear more "evil."
My point was that no one has an rights relative to God to claim injustice. The whole concept cannot apply Him. It can only apply to us.

    Hello,
I am crying right now. I can't believe this. I can't understand why people would shoot beautiful, intelligent little girls who are getting an education.
This girl Malala Yousafzai and two others were shot by the Taliban for the "crime" of getting an education in Pakistan.
They need prayer. Please pray for them. Please do whatever possible to help them. I don't understand why Pakistan does not care for or help their girls. They need help. They need an education. They need protection from people who would hurt them.
    Please see this video,
    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/10/wo...iban.html?_r=0
If there's anyway you can help, please help... I hope the US government puts pressure on Pakistan to protect their girls!!! Please write your Senators and Representatives and ask them to help the girls and women in Pakistan. They need help. I am so glad that girls and women in the USA freely go to school. Please pray for girls in Pakistan and do what you can to help them!
If you are Iranian or from Pakistan or from ANYWHERE and are against killing girls for getting an education, please contact your country's leaders and ask them to help! Please!!!
Sorry for ranting. It really hurts me how these girls are hurting. They deserve a quality education and protection. They don't deserve to be shot for going to school oh God what in the world? Why can people do that? Kill girls or going to school???
    Oh God...
We need to do something. We need to help save these girls from the evil senseless violence against them.
    Peace and God bless you

Taliban is a radical group. I cant consider them as muslims because a true muslim doesnt commit such crimes. I also dont think that the US govrenment really cares about these peopel. American soldiers tortured imprisoned Iraqi women and massacred civilians in Thailand during previous decades.
Anyway, thank you Christian Lady for the information.

Yes, it has been discussed beforehand. It happens only in a few universities. Considering current economical problems, unemployment rate and other factors, it seems necessary.
Moreover, the number of majors has increased by 14% comparing to the last year.
The total number of majors is 22,800 and comparing this to number, "77" seems insignificant.

You didnt understand my purpose. I believe in both "jabr" and "ekhtiar".
1=> 2 is jabr and 2=>3 is ekhtiar. The combination is "jabr+ ekhtiar".
God never wants his creatures to commit sins. The final stage is done by humans but without (2) (ability to choose), (3) (our deeds) wont exist and without (1), (2) wont exist too.
I personally believe that our destination, mainly, depends on our own deeds.
