  3. Religion without superstition, aka. angels, demons, miracles 1. The Universe is Fundamentally Good, meaning that in the end all creatures will end up basking in eternal bliss, this inherent Goodness is called God 2. Our soul is eternal, death is not the end, just a transition 3. Knowing these two aforementioned things, it is incumbent upon someone of sound intellect to live their lives so as to attain the supreme Good most efficiently as possible. 4. The path towards the Good seems to be to extinguish all forms of selfish desire and greed. Done Comments please.
  4. Salam. Ethereal, I don't really get what you mean, could you elaborate?

  8. Wat a horrible answer. Try to make sense please, and stop sounding all fake zen
  9. (salam) To ethereal: Im afraid I dont know what you "mean" by meaning, haha, could you explain what that means? To Persian shah and Asad: both of you said the ONE who is worthy of worship. First: what does the ONE mean? Second: How do we know if the ONE, whatever it is, is worthy of worship?
  10. Salam Simple question: "What does 'Allah' mean?" Please no copy paste
  11. Salam. Thanks for the honesty guys, I think we needa all become sufis to really understand what's going on. haha appreciate the help.
  12. Salam. Thank u guys for ur explanations, especially Bro straight Path, I see where ur going with this. The only question I have is that in Islam it portrays God as completely independent of creation and able to exist without it, but with ur explanations it seems it is impossible for the eternal one behind all manifestation to be without some kind of manifestation. So basically my only worry is that these ideas contradict the independence of God in the Quran. shookran
  13. Salam I was hoping SadrasStudent or Ethereal could answer this question specifically. the question is pretty simple. If God is no determinate thing, essentially no thing that is in relations and therefore limited by other things. Then does he have any asiety or character apart from creation??? If he did have some kind of existence or aseit apart from creation then that means he would be determinate and finite due to having a character separate from creation?? So it seems if we want God to be infinite he must be nothing outside of creation??? Peace
  14. Salam Thank u guys, im used to philosophical answers, but these hadiths but alot in perspective. Shookran.
  15. Salam Granting that God is not a thing, and has no determination whatsoever, I have a couple of questions. First question:If God is not a thing, then that means if I were to destroy everything in the universe, would God be existant? If God still exists then that means he has a reality separate from finite things, which means he is finite and not God anymore. If he doesnt exist, then that means God is dependent on the creation to exist, and therefore is not omnipotent. Second question: Does not create reality from nothing or from himself??? IF from nothing what does nothing even mean, can somet
