  1. Salam, Go back home, before you get killed.
  2. Salam, This is for your information From Ahlul Bayt, which you called saying the word and Zikr of Allah within ourselves frequently and at all times a Bidah. Probably you can learn Arabic and farsi to translate for yourself, now that you are self studying, before you start making your own translations/interpertations without knowledge of Arabic or farsi In the Arabic it clearly states to Say/repeat Allah as the reminder in yourself, which only Allah can know/hear and see. When we have Imams, there is no place for Buddah. This Zikr of Allah has to done with prevention from sins outwardly and inwardly to start with, and to Ponder on the creations of Allah, along with thinking of Allah's Attributes, for higher level of the mind. I will translate a few for you, and you can learn Arabic and Farsi yourself, now that you have spent ten years reading the translations of the hadiths ,Duas and books in English : Quran: وَاذْكُر رَّبَّكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ تَضَرُّعًا وَخِيفَةً وَدُونَ الْجَهْرِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ وَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْغَافِلِينَ ﴿٧: ٢٠٥﴾ And remember your Lord within yourself, pleadingly and fearfully, and quietly, in the morning and the evening, and do not be of the neglectful. (Al-A'raaf: 205) Hadiths: . . «الکافی، ج 2، ص 502» Imam Baqir (a.s) Angels, doesn't write unless what they hear. And Allah Azuwajal says: Remember ( zikr) your Lord in your nafs (self) pleading and fearfully, Hence the reward of such a zikr, within the nafs of humans and is done hidden, which no one but Allah knows, Has immense and great reward. Al- kafi, Volume 2 pg 502 . قال رسول الله - صلی الله علیه و آله - : تركُ الذّكرِ یُمیتُ النَّفْسَ. «مجموعه ورام، ج 1، ص 250» The prophet (pbuh) said : Leaving Zikr, causes death and destruction of the Nafs (self) Mojmumeh Waram, vol 1, pg 250 قال الامام علی - علیه السّلام - : اصلُ صَلاحِ القَلبِ اِشتغالُهُ بذكرِ الله. «بحار الانوار، ج 93، ص 188» Imam Ali (a.s) : The foundation, and root of correction of the mind is being busy with the Zikr of Allah. No problem brother, when you come to Iran, and study all the books of Ayatullah Khomeini in farsi and learn arabic properly, instead of self studies, so you, yourself can realize all the many translations mistakes for yourself. Maybe we can discuss, Insha Allah. And if repeating the word Allah which is the highest word in your mind Is Bidah , then it is great , rather than thinking and repeating any other thought in your mind. You don't need to repeat the highest word which is Allah in your mind. Repeat and think however you wish , and whatever you want in your thoughts. Any one who finds this illogical can refrain from this and who ever finds thinking and repeating the word Allah in your mind at all times logical ,can do so. Best to leave this discussion to the highest word. Allah
  4. I said , it is not breathing exercise. I am holding my breath now repeating the word Allah in my SELF, without breathing lol. brother , no need to do what, i mentioned, nor you need to study under any scholar. You can keep continuing yourself study in English. All the best.
  5. Salam, If you listened properly he said like a cycle of **thought*** , NOT BREATHING . For example, while , I am typing this , the word Allah is repeated in ***my mind ***not in my breath. I can stop my breath right now and can still repeat the word Allah in my thoughts, in MYSELF. Without inhaling and exhaling. I repeat , what he said was NOT BREATHING exercise, but was paced on breath as cycle of THOUGHT, the word and thought of Allah in YOUR MIND looping , along with thinking about Allah and his creations and higher stage of Zikr of Allah along with thinking about Allah's attributes at all times.( This is the way to attain the understanding of the attributes of Allah , thru constant Zikr and thinking about Allah's attributes) And you repeat Allah as a cycle of thought because : The Word of Allah is the Highest ( 40:9 ) Best example, when you fall extremely sick, you might keep repeating Allah within yourself, while you really are seeking Allah only. Because then only you know, in your NAFS , your self, only Allah can help you , so you keep remembering him in yourself. This is a situation of mokhleseen Lahudin, where you only remember ONLY Allah. The questioner was from a Hindu back ground, and asked if it is breathing exersice. Zikr is NOT a mantra , it has to be done with thinking about Allah . In Hindu/ buddists mantras , they just repeat a word , they don't think about anything while repeating their mantra. This is what you saw you in dream , Imam Mahdi was so immersed and focused in the Conscious Zikr of Allah in his mind , nothing else seemed to be as important. Because you are tuned into the frequency of Allah and satan cannot penetrate such deep Zikr and contemplation. If you would have listened to Azan and Salah you would have had a better understanding of his knowledge. My last suggestion if you are serious about religion , learn farsi or Arabic, and best to study under a scholar, who you atleast approve of. Book and self studies by itself in this path in not sufficient. That is why we have the ketab mobin and the Imam mobin as a clear guide. Not just the book by itself. For me personally, I would rather learn and listen to someone who knows the Quran, Al-kafi, Al mizan, safi, javadi amoli,Bihar Al Anwar, etc ,you name it and many other books back to forth and by heart and whose language is farsi, and has perfect knowledge of Arabic grammar, and is pious and teaches for free for the past 35 years. All the best Wasalam
  6. Salam , You are correct. I know my teacher, but unfortunately you don't. So you cannot say what he has attained or not. If you study or have studied directly under Imam Khomeini ,We can discuss further. Specially that my teacher teaches Zikr of Allah , not any buddists zikr. You don't have to do what , I mentioned. You can do it from what you have learned from books, and occasional exposure to scholars, not directly studying from them, full time. Alhamdulilah , you have read Ayatulah Khomeini's books. If you study or have studied *directly under Imam Khomeini or any other scholar and not just their books , it would be more appropriate to discuss further. I come from a land where Ayatulah Khomeini is from, so we have studied religion from grade one, and exposed to scholars along with books thru out our lives. Last not least these topics are best discussed in Arabic or Farsi, most English translations of the Quran and Arabic and farsi books are poor, and cannot convey the deep meanings as it should. Wasalam
  7. Salam brother, None of this is my personal opinion. The repeating of Zikr is an order from Allah in the Quran ALONG with Taqwa. Satan has taken hold of them, and so has caused them to *forget the remembrance of Allah*.These are the partisans of Satan. Indeed, it is Satan’s partisans who are the losers. (58: 19) Zikr is not to be done by the tongue, other wise the word tongue / speech would have been mentioned in the Quran, but the word nafs is used. Imam Jafar Sadiq : The hardest thing for a shia to do is frequent Zikr at all times, even while speaking/ trading / chores: By men who neither trading nor commerce distracts them from God’s remembrance, and from performing the prayers, and from giving alms. They fear a Day when minds and sights are overturned. (24: 37) If our nafs would be automatically doing the Zikr, Allah would not say, don't forget Zikr, don't be neglectful of Zikr. Our nature was to know Allah, that is how he first created us, fitrat Allah, but we forgot , so we have to be reminded, that is why we have to be in the constant state of Zikr, not by tongue but repeating it as a cycle of thought in ourselves/ nafs. The explanation here was just about nafs. We are not talking about TAZKIYEH NAFS here, which is a must , as you mentioned, along with Zikr and Salah , and mind control, and related to Taqwa: http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235033605-what-is-taqwa/?do=findComment&comment=2857222 My teacher is a scholar for the past 35 years, he teaches directly from the Quran, Ahlul bayt , and hadiths that correspond with the Quran. If you really want to understand , Kindly listen to All the files so you can understand what kind of knowledge is being mentioned , having in mind , only questions that are asked are answered. These audios are not about Taqwa.
  8. Salam, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The response was to someone , who deleted their post , mixing ruh ( spirit ) with nafs ( soul ) The word soul is used as an equavalent to nafs in Arabic. Although the translation of the word of nafs to soul is still very limiting, considering the fact, English is a very limited language in comparison to Arabic. Here is an explanation of nafs and ruh taught by my teacher , if you like to read : wasalam
  9. Salam, alhamdulilah , I am glad it was helpful. Insha Allah , in the future, once you reach 25 posts :) If I am around. For now, You can also , hear more of such files, I provided for placid in his thread regarding, Abrahamic religion, about understanding Quran. http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235033379-did-muhammad-follow-the-faith-of-abraham/?do=findComment&comment=2859787 Last not least : Imam Ali : Look what is being said, not who is saying it . Wasalam :)
  10. Salam, The general rule of thumb in Islamic tradition is three times warning/ approaching after that you can put that person aside , if they don't reform. Iblis was given three chances/ warnings before he was expelled from the first heaven. But if they reform and come back , forgive and assist and look at them in a new light. The prophets were even told to servere ties with their own son , such as Noah , was told by Allah in the Quran. Because from what I have understood from what you said, your brother's situation is not ***only that of choosing a different belief / ideology, but what he may doing , might hurt others and your family. If he just has a different view now, without hurting others and your family and can carry a healthy discussion that is different story.
  11. Greetings. It is an ignorance problem. And this started by following the ignorant, instead of the most knowledgeable, devout, and sincere after the prophet (pbuh) ,who was none but Imam Ali, and the 12 Imams, and their teachings. We have ignorance even in us Shias. Imam Ali: Know the truth, and you shall know it's people Imam Ali: Follow principles not personalities. Imam Ali, peace be upon him, : -During civil disturbance be like an adolescent camel , who has neither a back strong enough for riding nor udders for milking. -During civil disturbance adopt such an attitude that people do not attach any importance to you they neither burden you with complicated affairs, nor try to derive any advantage out of you.
  12. Greetings, People who are evil and hurt others can be found in any belief system, whether jew, christians, muslims, agnostic, athiests. Imam Ali:Know the truth and you should know it's people Imam Ali: Follows principles not personalities
  13. Salam, What Imam Mahdi will have will be extremely high tech/ beyond our imagination. To be a Shia and not just Muhib Ahlul bayt: Hadith : Imam Baqir (A.S) has said those who claim to be shia should know that shias are our friends and followers. They are: 1.Pious/taqwa 2.Obedient 3.Humbleness 4. Uprightness 5.Trustworthiness 6.By their, Zikr-Remembrance of Allah 7.Their salaat 8.fasting 9.Kindness to parents 10.Respect for the rights of neighbors 11. Their assistance for the poor and the disabled 12.Sympathy for the destitute 13.Loving behavior towards orphans 14.Truthfulness 15.Recitation of the Holy Quran, and acting according to all commandments and laws in it 16.True Shi’as control their tongue and use it in the best manner for beneficence 18. Wish the best for all the servants of God and 19. give shelter to their friends. Wasalam
  14. Salam, Very Beautiful reflection...may you ponder more on the beauties of Allah along with Zikr of Allah. Quran Those who remember Allah while standing, and sitting, and on their sides; and they reflect upon the creation of the heavens/skies and the earth: “Our Lord, You did not create this in vain, glory to You, so protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” (Aali Imraan: 191) **************************************************************************************** Night and day are two separate creations but merge into each other: Quran “You merge the night into the day, and You merge the day into the night; and you bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living; and You provide for whom you will without measure.” (Aali Imraan: 27) *********************************************************************************************************** Is he who was dead, then We gave him life, and made for him a light by which he walks among the people , like he who is in total darkness, and cannot get out of it? Thus the doings of disbelievers are made to appear good to them. (Al-An'aam: 122) ******************************************************************************************* We have made the night and the day two wonders. We erased the wonder of the night, and made the wonder of the day revealing, that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and know the number of years, and the calculation. We have explained all things in detail. (Al-Israa: 12) ***************************************************************************************** We did not send before you except men whom We inspired. So ask the people of knowledge, if you do not know. (An-Nahl: 43) Wasalam

  16. Salam, Alhamdulilah, for your consistency. It's extremely beneficial to understand what actually is Salah, and the wisdom behind the acts. I have a brief Audio file recording from my teacher about it, and will take your prayer on an extremely deep level, after you understand what it is about. This is Salah explained like no one ever has. The files are safe, and people have heard it here. http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235032080-irfan-knowing-Allah/ As for books, I can mainly refer you to our hadith book AL-kafi. Maybe others can help you more with books. Insha Allah this will help.
  17. I agree with King. And may I add to the math to Bro Jinn: You can probably kill 5 people with a gun in a min, but it may take you 1 min to kill a person with a knife. You can probably kill 50 people, with a machine gun within a min, and it will take 1 min to kill 5 with a gun. You can probably kill 500 people, with a bomb within a min, and it will take 1 min to kill 50 with a machine gun. You can probably kill 50,000-500,000 people, with an atomic bomb within a min, and it will take 1 min to kill 500 with a bomb. The more complex the weapon the more dangerous in the hands of lunatics.
  18. It is obligatory precaution for a turkish, not to get married to a russian at this point. or an armenian to a turkish at any point. But if both are deaf or blind, it is ok.
  19. Hello Placid, In Islam, from the Quran verse you quoted, The criterion is not the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments is refered to as the Scripture ( but better translated as the Book, as it says the word closer to the book in Arabic) The criterion is separate from the book, and is given only to those who are God conscious. That is why it uses the word AND: "And remember We gave Moses the Scripture and the Criterion" The jewish monks, got the same scripture as the Ten commandments thru Moses, but did not receive the criterion(of judgment between right and wrong) along with it. Because, If they did, they would have not been against Jesus, and slain many other messengers from God. It is like we get a medical text book, and try to explain it, although we are a cobbler. We have the text, but not the understanding.
  20. Salam, The wisdom behind the rulings given above is as below how my teacher explained: The reason we prostrate on things that are derived from earth/natural sources: When we do Sajdah (prostrate) on clay is symbolic we are made from the earth/clay: 1-After the first sajdah when we sit it symbolizes we are given life and formed from earth. 2-When we do the second sajdah it is symbolic of we will return to the earth ( die ) 3-When we sit down after that, it means we will be brought to life again/Resurrected. Hence if you pray on silk prayer matt and put your forehead directly on the fabric, it would not symbolize we are from earth. Because according to one of the hadiths of the prophet, every thing goes back to it's original form/source. That is why in Islam we bury humans in earth when they die, As the Body has to go back to the original source. You see how eco friendly Shias are even when they pray :) Turbah ( clay ) from Karbala is just a sign of respect.
  21. Salam , Let's see Quran's Logic : God illustrates an example of those who disbelieve: The wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of Our righteous servants, but they betrayed them. They availed them nothing against God, and it was said, 'Enter the Fire with those who are entering.' (66:10)
  22. Salam Brother, Insha Allah, this will help you immensly for now, if you listen to these audios. The speaker is my teacher. http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235032080-irfan-knowing-Allah/ Also the below explanation of Taqwa, which I learned thru my teacher, which I posted, in the thread below: none of the above are personal opinions. Feel free to comment in the first thread, if it helps you. Wasalam
  23. Salam, What exactly do you need help with?
  24. Salam, Yes, they are around for now. Take a look at Ibn Hussain's comment on Magmas thread, and on brother Abbas's thread.. Only time can tell. If people don't make proper use, of people who have studied... The result will be obvious later. 99% percent of the people did not make use of Imam Ali : “Ask me before you lose me. By Allah, if you ask me about anything that could happen up to the Day of Judgment, I will tell you about it. Ask me, for, by Allah, you will not be able to ask me a question about anything without my informing you. Ask me about the Book of Allah, for by Allah, there is no verse about which I do not know whether it was sent down at night or during the day, or whether it was revealed on a plain or in a mountain.” (Tarikh al-Khulafa)
  25. Salam, Those who left were pretty knowledgeable , well mannered and intelligent people. Once people of such caliber cannot discuss more interesting aspects of Islam , such as creation, the more metaphysical aspect of Islam, will definitely, with draw. It is disheartening for them to see threads just being created on repeated personal issues and idle talk. For growth, either they will start self study or with reliable people of higher knowledge not only for guidence in Ahkam of Islam, but the deep and fantastic wisdom behind this very misunderstood religion, or will simply choose different pastures for growth. These are some of my observations.
