When you say "why doesn't he reply back?"...you don't mean literally right? Because he sure will not talk back to you or anyone else for that matter. Prayers are ALWAYS answered no matter what. There just are different types of answers though depending on your request and intentions. Allah swt always answers his servants no matter what. It is said that Allah swt has 3 replies for his servants when they make dua to him:
    1. Yes
    2. Yes, but not now
    3. I have something better for you

    (bismillah)
I've spoken to some ulama before about this issue, and they say Adam (as) committed no mistake nor sinned. Rather, Nabi Adam (as) was lured by shaytan to eat from the tree, and he committed that act because he was not given absolute knowledge of everything from Allah swt yet, knowledge of the powers of shaytan, the extent of his influence, the evils in the world, and thus committed the act out of ignorance and unawareness, and not disobedience or rebellion.
He was made aware after approaching the tree, and was exposed to the reality of the evil of the world, and thus that was a specific lesson intended for him from Allah swt to teach him and show him how easily or how falling into a trap can happen. Nabi Adam (as) learned from this, this was not a mistake by him or a sin, rather planned from the beginning. This is what taught him that in case he encounters something like it again, he knew it was shaytan (la), and thus he was always ma'suum.

Lol I was baligh at 12.... anyway, 15 seems a little long because if the mind knows halal from haraam, and knows his duties but still does not do them because he says "I'm not 15 yet, so I don't have to", but knows right from wrong, he is baligh.
I think mentality determines when a boy becomes baligh, more than physically.

I thought forums are where people's opinions thrive? I guess not then. Anyway, I didn't specify that just because a boy knows a woman is pretty, or becomes attracted etc, means he is baligh. I said when he knows right from wrong, I think that is a totally different issue. If you don't believe me, believe a mujtahid then sister? According to Sayyed Ali Khamenei' (ra):
Q: At what time in a boy's life does does he become non-mahraam to me (i.e baligh)?
A: Once the boy understands the true path of Islam, and understands fully the concepts that come with it, and is able to ascertain what is ḥalāl and what is ḥarām, the wajibat have become obligatory for him.

Lol, poor wonderer. The feminists ambushed you from all directions :!!!:
Anyway, this has happened to me a few times, and when they put their hands forward to shake, I simply put both my hands on my chest and take a...'half' bow I guess you could call it. And in the most polite voice possible while smiling, say "I sincerely apologize, but out of utmost respect for a woman in my religion, I can not shake your hand." Every time I've done it, they've actually been pleasantly shocked and literally respected me more afterwards.
You may get unlucky and get a feminist who will chew you out, but obeying your Rabb swt is more important than anyone's view of you. Allah swt will provide for your work.

    (salam)
I will begin attending a hawza inshallah starting in 2 weeks (Imam Ali Seminary in Florida), and would love to see if anyone has any good tips about it.
Given my situation, I work a full time job, as does my wife, and we both live in a house about 20-30 minutes from the hawza. I have promised to dedicate myself to it, attending the classes and studying before and after work. The biggest drawback I have is that since I work full time, I can attend the classes, but won't be able to stay for the discussions and conversations between the other students, so I will be missing out on that.
Since I live in my own house, I will not need a boarding room or anything.
It would be most beneficial I'm sure if you have also attended hawza to give me a sort of tip guide perhaps, inshallah?
    Jazakallah khayr

Well, I do not know the intimate details yet, but the founder and leader of the seminary is Hujjat al-Islam Muhammad Ali Baig. He's well versed in Arabic and he stressed to me the curriculum is 2 year program with heavy emphasis on Arabic and fiqh. Mashallah I'm very proud to learn under him, he's very intellectual and has a revolutionary spirit. I'm also Lebanese myself, so alhamdullilah I'm fluent in Arabic.
Here is a video about the hawza itself with more details:

jund_el_Mahdi got a reaction from labaikYaZahra in Narrow Minded About Names?
Not really, there is a proper way to say these names, because they are Arabic names. For example, Dhulfiqar is an arabic word, and thus saying Zulfiqar is not the correct way to say it. It's not spelled with a "za", it's spelled with "dhal". I don't mind if people say it like that, don't really care, but that's still not the right way. In fact, many, many words in Arabic completely change their meaning when even changing one letter in the word.

That Imam Mahdi (ajfs) will come to you a dream or you will see him if you perform Salatul Layl 40 nights consecutively. Can anyone tell me the basis behind it?
Are there ahadeeth on the matter? Reputable narrations, or anything plausible?
