  5. Politics definitely played a role. Just look into the events that occured the moment Rasoolullah (saw) left the world. As far as how the slaughter of the Prophet's (saw) family plays a role, I don't see how it doesn't. The Prophet (saw) always spoke of the virtues and praised Imam Ali (as), Bibi Fatima (sa), Imam Hasan (as) and Imam Husain (as). He would stand up out of respect when they entered the room. He spoke of them saying "I am from them, and they are from me" When someone that close to the Prophet (saw) is slaughtered by people who claim to be followers of said Prophet, I would hope not just Shias but every being that has an ounce of love for the Prophet (saw) would mourn for them.
  6. Salam, Ya Ali madad... What does it mean to become baligh? Apart from the physical changes, that is. Does the child become responsible for his/her self? Gain independence? Any help at all from Quran & Hadith would be greatly appreciated.
  7. The actual exercise is not bad for your back, it's the technique you use. Yes, you will strain your lower back a bit, but that's because your lower back is also part of what we like to call the 'core.' I say you don't need the machine, you can do so many variations of ab exercises without any equipment whtasoever. The only benefit I see of using a machine is that you can use heavy weight on it, but that benefit is negated because 1) You can use weight without a machine [dumbbells, plates, etc.] and 2) in your case, I don't think you would want heavy weight unless you want to increase muscular mass of your abs. Stick to regular crunches and all the variations, no machine necessary. Also remember that if you're trying to make your abs visible, all the crunches in the world will not help you. Do crunches, yes, but you will not see the result of those crunches until you burn the fat over your abs. That's the number one mistake most people make; they do crunches but not cardio.
  8. Best advice ever. The slightest touch/pat on a cut and I'm scratching for hours. Just don't go crazy with the back scratcher lol... side note - as far as restoration goes, sand paper was by far the best in getting the old rust out. The only problem was that after having used it already, there were dents that wouldn't go away no matter how much I tried sharpening.
  9. "Constant use of addictive drugs, however, can cause the brain to lose its ability to produce high levels of dopamine. When this happens, a drug user feels a greater need for the drug, or for even stronger drugs. Scientists believe this may occur with marijuana." http://www.scienceclarified.com/Io-Ma/Marijuana.html How much truth is there to that?
  10. Geo.... What other events occured on this day?
