  1. The Qur’an is for all people, even the disbelievers e.g. the atheists.
  2. The law of God applies the same to all people. The Qur'an came as a Mercy and Guidance for all mankind, not just for Muslims or Christians. We are all the 'Children of Adam' and the message that God gives is for all of us. The message of Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them) was one and the same.
  3. The Praised One is reference to Muhammad (peace be upon him) NOT archangel Gabriel (peace be upon him). The original Arabic text says ‘Ahmad’ NOT Gabriel. Ahmad is an alternative name of Muhammad (peace be upon him). The word Gospel is incorrect, the Arabic text says Injil. The Injil should not be confused with the Gospels. Unfortunately the English translation is much to be desired. With reference to the Comforter, refer to the article by Ramazan Zuberi. Names of people are normally capitalized. Muhammad (or Ahmad) was a Messenger from God. I agree there are contradictions in the Bible, but not more than we can expect from a book written by different persons. Many Jews and Christians would say there are no contradictions. I met a Christian who was in her 50’s and says she has read the Bible all her life and not come across any contradictions. I met a Jew many years ago who said that the Torah we have today in the disguise of the OT is the original. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. All I ask is to be shown ONE single contradiction in the Qur’an. I have challenged andres to this. The Qur’an is from God not from Ali (May Allaah be pleased with him) or indeed anyone else. If the Qur’an we have today is not the complete Word of God then there will be contradictions. Name one? If you can’t and assuredly you can’t, then it stands to reason that it’s completely authentic. Also the order of the verses is the order that God intended. The verses are not ordered in sequence of revelation that is why you have a mixture of surahs. Many Meccan surahs appear at the end. Hence the positioning of 5:3 not being at the end has no relevance. If the order had been changed to what Muhammad (peace be upon him) it would have resulted in some contradiction. Again I challenge you to find a single contradiction. I would suggest that you obtain the exact meaning of the original text as this often is where the problem lies when people claim contradiction. Post no? To make it clear, Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not choose who would be his successor. This however is not the subject of this thread but thought it important to make that clarification. If anyone wants to discuss this, by all means start a new thread to that affect. I know that threads can wander a bit to support an argument but this has no relevance to the purpose of Jesus (peace be upon him) creation. I have explained this in the opening of this thread. This is what some of the scholars say.
  4. Hi andres and Placid. Rather busy this week so will give andres an answer as his reply is short and get back to you Placid later this week or next week. The Qur’an is the true word of God and over 25% of humanity believe that and I may add many more people will be accepting this around the world as I write, as Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. More people are reverting back to the faith they were in when they were born. The Qur’an is free from any contradictions and hence is a book of truths and facts whilst the Bible is riddled with contradictions. Anyone who says that there are no contradictions in the Bible is simply placing his\her head in the sand. Even someone with little education can see that. The Qur’an is not Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) revelation and never did he claim it as such. How could someone who could not read and write have written such a book, indeed how could anyone have written such a book. You only have to look at the verses describing science to see that. As we know that the NT was written by man, it doesn’t matter what John 10:30 says. If man was capable of writing scripture without the need for God to give us Scripture, then why would God go to all the trouble of giving us the Scrolls to Abraham, the Psalms (Zaboor) to David, the Torah (Taurat) to Moses, the Injil to Jesus and finally the Qur’an to Muhammad (peace be upon them all)? Why God not simply let the Prophets or Messengers write the books themselves? John 10:30 to me doesn’t imply that Jesus (peace be upon him) is divine. When I read the man-made verse it simply indicates that Jesus (peace be upon him) is a Messenger of God. The word father should not, IMO, be taken literally but allegorically. Hence in that sense we are all God’s children as He has created all of us. But we don’t go about saying that God is literally our father. And the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth! 9:30 Jesus (peace be upon him) had half-brothers or whatever the right term is. Believing that Jesus (peace be upon him) was divine does not make him divine. When you say ‘told by two of the four Gospel writers’, this indicates clearly that the Gospels were written by man. You have shown no proof that Jesus (peace be upon him) was divine from birth, you have simply made a statement to that fact in your opinion. The world out there requires proof before accepting this. Those who wish to accept this blindly is there concern. I could tell you but I have a funny feeling that you probably know what the answer is. Muslims believe in TRUE scripture, the Quran whilst the Jews and Christians believe in an adulterated version of the Torah and man-made Gospels. Many Christians who have become Muslims have switched from the Bible to the Qur’an. May God be Praised.
  5. The discussion is not solely between us but other contributors as well. I will stop saying what the vast majority of Christians are saying if all the Christian contributors on this thread agree that Jesus (peace be upon him) was not divine. However Andres insists that because of the virgin birth that makes him divine. I as a Muslim am duty bound, as all Muslims are, to warn people if their belief is wrong. Andres has not given us a single NT verse where Jesus (peace be upon him) asks to be worshipped. Why? Is it because there is no such verse. Don’t understand what you mean by ‘natural selection’. All I can say to answer yout question is that Jesus (peace be upon him) was human. And they cry for help there, (saying): Our Lord! Release us; we will do right, not (the wrong) that we used to do. Did not We grant you a life long enough for him who reflected to reflect therein? And the warner came unto you. Now taste (the flavour of your deeds), for evil-doers have no helper. Lo! Allah is the Knower of the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. Lo! He is Aware of the secret of (men's) breasts. 35:37-8 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination. When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers (the angels of punishment) ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner? "They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, ' Allaah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 67:6-9 The last word in 2:132, 2:133 and 3:52 is Muslim in the original Arabic text. And Abraham instructed his sons [to do the same] and [so did] Jacob, [saying], "O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims." Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac - one God. And we are Muslims [in submission] to Him." But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah?" The disciples said," We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]. You are indeed a Muslim if you accept all 6 articles of faith. So the question is do you believe in these 6 articles of faith? So for example do you accept Jesus (peace be upon him) & Muhammad (peace be upon him) as prophets and messengers of God, do you accept the entire Qur’an as the Word of God and not just bits of it that suit you? The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination." 2:285 The purpose of Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Comforter, was to reinstate the original true pristine message of the previous prophets and messengers. It was not intended, by and large, for him to bring anything new except for some minor changes, hence the final Qur’anic verse This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. 5:3 He reinstated the religion of Jesus (peace be upon him) which had been changed by the so called ‘Christians’.
  6. You are taking yourself away from the argument. You seem to be a master of this and miss the central points that are being made. You can’t automatically assume the opposite of something as you are doing. It didn’t rain today, so it must have been sunny. No. It could have just been a cloudy day and the sun didn’t show. You can’t assume that it didn’t rain then you assume something else in its place as YOU desire. I am very certain you are not a Virgin birth product either otherwise God forbid some ignorant people would be worshipping you. The Messianic Jews have at least accepted Jesus (peace be upon him) which is good. But they need also to accept Muhammad (peace be upon him). You are quoting from a man-made book. Show me the equivalent verse for God’s book. This is the first thing he says 19.030 He spake: Lo! I am the slave of Allah. He hath given me the Scripture and hath appointed me a Prophet, No ‘Son of God’ here. No. Sounds a bit like trinity and no I don’t like ‘indwelled’ any better. Yes he gave the message to worship and obey the ONE TRUE GOD which is the message that all the prophets and messengers have given. The Sign came from God; Jesus (peace be upon him) was not the Sign as you put it. God gave Jesus (peace be upon him) the powers to create the miracles, that’s all. I was simply suggesting that those verses which agree we accept, but if there are NT verses that go contrary to the teachings of Islam, we cannot accept. If you take the OT, some of the prophets commit major sins like adultery, we as Muslims would not accept that. Similarly there may be verses in the NT that we as Muslims would not accept. At the end of the day the NT is man-made and believing in a THREESOME is wrong whatever the elements of the THREESOME are as God is ONE God. I’m more than happy to keep on doing this. After all Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave the same message even though the disbelievers did not like it. Even as thy Lord caused thee (Muhammad) to go forth from thy home with the Truth, and lo! a party of the believers were averse (to it). 8:5 Is the Qur’an and the 10 commandments not enough and why do you accept some Qur’anic verses and ignore others that make it clear what God says in totality? John (peace be upon him) was a prophet and Jesus (peace be upon him) was a prophet and a messenger and was given the Injil, but they both gave the same message. No arguments there. Again no arguments there. The Comforter is Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Holy Spirit is Gabriel (peace be upon him).
  7. My ‘faulty doctrine’ as you put it doesn’t say Jesus (peace be upon him) was divine, it’s the majority of the Christians who say this and the majority of the Christians who believe in the ‘trinity’ You are right that both Adam & Jesus (peace be upon them) did not have a human father, but the point is that they were still human as we all are hence the Qur’anic verse where God says that Jesus (peace be upon him) ate food. You are putting too much emphasis on the fact that they didn’t have a father, after all you accept that God only has to say ‘Be’ and it is so why the kerfuffle? I am not wrong as you put it. You are creating incorrect interpretations and false logic in my opinion. The creation of Adam (peace be upon him) was different just as the creation of Jesus (peace be upon him) was different which is the point of this thread. But all new Messengers came with a ‘new’ revelation but giving essentially the same message i.e. to worship and be obedient to the One TRUE God, the Creator of the universe. Jesus (peace be upon him) message was not unique as his message had been given in the past and also by Muhammad (peace be upon him). You are trying very hard to attribute some uniqueness to Jesus (peace be upon him) and playing on that. Yes he was created differently, that’s all and I have given the reason why he was created that way. God could easily have chosen someone else to have been created this way if He wanted. The issue would still be the same. Why not! Do most Muslims today not worship God and obey Him? And for the sake of argument, let’s say there were no more practising Muslims left on this earth. You can’t destroy the truth of Islam. The TRUTH will always be distinct from FALSEHOOD. If the sun comes out every day where we live, denying it won’t prevent the sun from coming out the next day. Similarly Islam will always represent the TRUTH from the time of Adam (peace be upon him) to today. Those who want to deny it, do so at their own volition. Andres says Andres is caught up in the normal mistakes that people often make which is to look at labels rather than what is behind the labels. As I said Andres, Islam began at the time of Adam (peace be upon him) whether you accept it or not AND it is a fact though you may not wish to accept it as such. You are entitled to your opinion but you are factually wrong. Placid, again you are making the same mistake that Andres is making. Ask yourself the question whether Islam was practised from the time of Adam & Huwwa (peace be upon them)? There is no concept of Savior introduced by God in the way you mean it. Yes Jesus (peace be upon him) was indeed the Maseeh as the Qur’an states. No arguments there. Muslim teachers know all too well what they are talking about, you just don’t want accept what they say. There is no New Covenant as you put it there is only ONE Covenant, ISLAM. The Injil was a book and is referred to in the Qur’an. Salvation comes from the TRUE message of Jesus (peace be upon him) not the FALSE one created by the Christian church. Agreed. The same applies from the time of Jesus (peace be upon him) to taday. The religion hasn’t changed and Jesus (peace be upon him) didn’t change it. Just like many Christians who have been ignorantly worshipping Jesus (peace be upon him) for many centuries. One very good reason why these terms are not used in the Qur’an is because they are not relevant. The Gospels that Christians read today is not the word of God but the word of Man, so we can hardly live our lives according to it. Live your life through the authentic scripture. Andres I will try to get time to look at the other thread regarding the Qur’an. It will take some time so bear with me I have not forgotten unless you can point me to the post number then I can reply straightaway insha-allaah. As I said before the Qur’an does not talk about indwelling. The Word used in the Qur’an does not mean what you think it means. If it did why would God ask Jesus (peace be upon him) 5:116-7 which you conveniently ignore. You cherry pick verses but ignore others from the Qur’an which clearly shows you are wrong. What is your opinion of 5:116-7? But what about the verses which do not compliment? If you want to use the Qur’an then use it as a whole. In the NT does Jesus (peace be upon him) ask to be worshipped or say he is God? Only thru his creation, otherwise he ate and drank like the rest of us and he gave the same message as before by previous prophets and messengers. Ditto. It’s not a question of me personally not wanting Jesus (peace be upon him) to be divine, Islam says he is not divine. The fact that there are no secular reports of the miracle, how come billions of people know about it today? You are losing the point. Show us the NT verse that says he was divine. Because he was born this way is no indication of divinity. If he was indeed divine why did Jesus (peace be upon him) not say to the people to worship him then? This just doesn’t make any sense. Just because it’s mainstream doesn’t make it true. There are billions of Hindus who worship an idol that has an elephants head, does that make it acceptable because it’s mainstream? Islam is RIGHT not because it is followed by 25% of the world population but because it’s the path that God has chosen for us. Nothing to do with numbers. A FALSEHOOD will remain a FALSEHOOD no matter how many people accept it. This is a fallacious argument you are making.
  8. And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is Ahmad. Yet when he hath come unto them with clear proofs, they say: This is mere magic. 61:6 Ahmad is one of the names of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The religion that Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) followed was called Islam. Islam is the religion that was followed by Adam (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to the last Prophet. The fact that Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) does not mention the Qur’an is irrelevant as he followed the message of the Torah, Injil and the Qur’an i.e. the worship God and be obedient to Him. You can think that because you want Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to be divine. I’m after the truth not fancy. If Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was to be divine, God would have told us this in the Qur’an, but He doesn’t. Billions of people today know that Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was born of a virgin, hence knowing the REAL purpose of the virgin birth is a valid point to discuss. The fact that people didn’t know much about this 2000 years ago is irrelevant as Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) never said he should be worshipped. That’s the main point that you are conveniently missing. I have never said that I’m not divine either, does that mean I could be? But that has got nothing to do with Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) being divine or that he should be worshipped. If you want to compare the Qur’an and the NT:- "Christ, the son of Mary, was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how God makes His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!" 5:75. "And behold! God will say [i.e. on the Day of Judgment]: 'Oh Jesus, the son of Mary! Did you say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God?' He will say: 'Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Yours. For You know in full all that is hidden. Never did I say to them anything except what You commanded me to say: 'Worship God, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I lived among them. When You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a witness to all things'" (5:116-117). "When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: 'Now I have come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which you dispute. Therefore, fear God and obey me. God, He is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him -- this is a Straight Way.' But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement. So woe to the wrongdoers, from the penalty of a Grievous Day!" (43:63-65) One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, "What commandment is the foremost of all?" Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.'… Mark 12:28-30 In studying what is written you can see how the Qur’an agrees with the Gospel of Mark. But notice how quickly the others divert to a side argument that says the opposite to what the verses say. But most Christians believe in the trinity, why don’t they read the verses carefully. I’m happy and content with the Qur’an as the source and Word of God. I’m glad that you don’t believe that Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was divine and that we should worship him. That is a step in the right direction. When ‘Word’ is used it does not mean, if this is what you are implying, that God lives within Jesus. Yes, Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is the Messenger of God and transferring His message through him and onto the people. In that case God is Father to us all. He created all of us, be it in different ways which is the point of this thread that because Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was created differently he is still human with a human message from God to the ‘Children of God’. Look at 5:75 above. An alternative translation is: And when Allaah said: "O Jesus! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters wherein you used to dispute." So there is no gathering here but raising Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) up into heaven. My Arabic is not very good so will need someone else to tell us. However God tells us that Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wasn’t crucified. And because of their saying, "We killed the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allaah," - but they did not kill him, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of Jesus was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they did not kill Jesus. Allaah raised him up unto Himself; And Allaah is Ever All Powerful, All Wise. 4:157-8 That’s right. Anything that is in the Qur’an and in the NT which agree and agree in spirit of what is being said, of course I accept. But as soon as some Christians go down the road of making Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) the literal ‘Son of God’ then they leave the true path. Christians should follow the TRUE teachings of Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). This includes accepting Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) as the Seal of the Prophets. See 61:6 above. Each Prophet\Messenger is exactly that. They all come to warn the people and give the message. A Muslim cannot be a Muslim if he doesn’t accept Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) as his universal message was the same as the previous Prophets|Messengers and Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The people who are closest to the message of Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) are the Muslims, not the Christians. [3:115] And whatever good they do shall not be denied to them. God is well aware of those who are conscious of their duty to Him. All good deeds will be acknowledged but the reward to non-Muslims will be given here in this world not in the hereafter. That’s the difference. Muslims will get their rewards here and in the hereafter. So those who REJECT the One TRUE God, will end up in Hellfire and those who ACCEPT will ultimately go to Heaven, insha-allaah. This is based on a promise made by God to his last Messenger. A person who believes in God has to believe correctly, in which they won’t be non-Muslims. If his Word is to worship God alone and to be obedient to Him and all the Prophets & Messengers, then fine.
  9. Tell that to the Evolutionists. Not correct. The purpose of the mission of Jesus (peace be upon him) was to give the message of Islam i.e. to worship the Creator and be obedient to Him. The purpose of the virgin birth was to show that God can create as He pleases as he did with Adam & Eve (peace be upon them). Where in the NT does Jesus (peace be upon him) say he is divine or that he said (may God forgive me) worship me? The term of ‘son of God’ simply refers to a person who is close to God, no more than that. Adam (peace be upon him) like Jesus (peace be upon him) was not divine. But all Prophets and Messengers tell people to be obedient to God and to worship alone i.e. do good and don’t commit sins. There is nothing new or unique here. Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is the straight path." 3:51 Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.3:104 Muhammad (peace be upon him) confirmed this and also in respect of Mary (peace be upon her). But this does not make them divine. God is with all believers past and present. Jesus (peace be upon him) was indeed the Messiah as confirmed in the Qur’an. Lo! those of mankind who have the best claim to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who believe (with him); and Allah is the Protecting Guardian of the believers. 3:68 In the Qur’an, God does not say that Jesus (peace be upon him) is divine. Your interpretations are incorrect. See what Jesus (peace be upon him) says in 3:51 above. He is saying that only God should be worshipped. He himself doesn’t say in the Qur’an that he should be worshipped.
  10. I know that Home Erectus vanished, the point I was making was that the evolutionists have a problem with natural selection in the senses that new species appear suddenly when they examine the fossil record. The fact that new species appear suddenly would make sense to Muslims as that would simply tell us that God is the one who creates the new specie as and when He wills. So the fact that early humanoids existed does not take away from the fact that God exists. So what I'm saying is that there is correlation between evolution and the existence of God, they can co-exist as God is the Creator of all kind. But God does not tell us this in the Qur'an and Jesus (peace be upon him) did not say he was divine or that we should worship him. The virgin birth is true because God tells us this in the Qur'an. Jesus (peace be upon him) was not just a prophet but a messenger as well, which is a higher status. As I explained in the opening post in this thread, God simply shows His ability to create as he wills, nothing to do with being divine. Placid, I will reply to you tomorrow.
  11. But the fossil record, for humans, shows otherwise. For example Home Erectus remained the same for about 1 million years before suddenly changing. This is why the evolutionists have come up with the mutation idea. Their words not mine. I don’t remember that! Will look into that. “Indeed, in this [Quran] is notification for a worshipping people. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” [Quran: 21:106-107] Don’t quite understand what you mean. Muhammad received the Qur’an from God who was the author of the Torah, which unfortunately is now corrupted. Agreed. Ahmed Deedat and Dr. Zakir Naik go through a blow by blow account to show that it was Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Qur’an talks about Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) receiving the Injil. No mention of another scripture called the NT is mentioned which is to come after Jesus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Qur’an, the Last Testament gives us all the information we need. We can accept or reject the Qur’an as we wish. After all, God has given us free will to decide. It’s not an issue of downgrading the NT, the NT was not revealed by God. Note that there were an initial about 80 gospels which were wittled down to about 29 before further being reduced to the 4 canonical gospels we have today. It was also heresy to be caught with the other gospels and could be a death sentence. Apart from the fact that God doesn’t mention the NT in the Qur’an, he wouldn’t reveal gospels which man would then destroy!
  12. The science behind how the universe came into being IS scientific. Alexander Friedmann, Edwin Hubble, etc. were all scientists who used a combination of mathematics and scientific observations. The science is created by Allaah as He is the Creator. There is no beginning of time as Allaah has always existed and there is no end of time as Allaah will always exist. 13.8 billion years ago is when the creation of the universe began, that’s all. The expansion of the universe occurred after the initial ‘explosion’. Even the Big Bang is not scientific. Two of the biggest and most brilliant of lies in the history of this world will be Darwinian Evolution and the Big Bang. I only ask for one example. Sorry, didn’t understand. What was the title of the thread? You give up too easily and appear not to want to debate which it gets tough J Agreed. Not true as the greatest evolutionary Richard Dawkins himself admitted that evolution has not been scientifically proven 100%. The main problem is that new species occur as a step change rather than gradually which is what CD was saying. Hence the new theory is that when a new specie comes along it does so by mutation although not everyone agrees with that. My opinion, for what it’s worth, the fossil record does indeed show sudden appearance of new species, but this simply shows that God created the new specie hence it’s sudden appearance. That’s all. No magic involved. 14.19 Hast thou not seen that Allah hath created the heavens and the earth with truth? If He will, He can remove you and bring (in) some new creation; 14.20 And that is no great matter for Allah.
  13. The creation of the universe can be proved scientifically. The issue of Adam & Eve is a different matter altogether. Not everything can be proved by science. Certain things do require faith. For example science can't prove that angels exist. The 'Big Bang Theory', if you want to call it that CAN be proved. That is the point. What human errors? Please share.
  14. Well as we both believe there is going to be a Day of Judgement, let us see who is right. God knew that people would believe this, hence the verse Do they not then consider the Qur'an carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein many contradictions. 4:82 I have not seen a single contradiction in the Qur’an. On the other hand the current version of the Torah is lettered with them and the NT is not the Word of God but written by man. Hence I would rather follow the Qur’an and the 10 Commandments than anything else. Here’s what God says:- And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers. (And remember) when Allah said: O Jesus! Lo! I am gathering thee and causing thee to ascend unto Me, and am cleansing thee of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow thee above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then unto Me ye will (all) return, and I shall judge between you as to that wherein ye used to differ. As for those who disbelieve I shall chastise them with a heavy chastisement in the world and the Hereafter; and they will have no helpers. And as for those who believe and do good works, He will pay them their wages in full. Allah loveth not wrong-doers. This (which) We recite unto thee is a revelation and a wise reminder. Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. (This is) the truth from thy Lord (O Muhammad), so be not thou of those who waver. And whoso disputes with thee concerning him, after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, say (unto him): Come! We will summon our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, then we will pray humbly (to our Lord) and (solemnly) invoke the curse of Allaah upon those who lie. Lo! This verily is the true narrative. There is no God save Allah, and lo! Allah, He verily is, is the Mighty, the Wise. 3:54-62 Guess? They are using science to prove this, not guessing.
  15. And those who, when they are reminded of the revelations of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat. 25:73 Say (O Muhammad, unto the disbelievers): My Lord would not concern Himself with you but for your prayer. But now ye have denied (the Truth), therefor there will be judgment. 25:77
