  2. (bismillah) (salam) The Holy Shrine is signing up anyone interested in their virtual and postal services. The main services they have are emails which will be sent to your inbox which include things like seasonal religious magazines from The Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (as) (Astane Quds Razavi). Signing up is absolutely free and it would be a great help, and much appreciated, if you spread the word and ask people to sign up or gather up their email addresses yourself and send it to them. There are no restrictions on who can sign up for now, regardless of their religion, language and where they live. They want to spread the knowledge amongst everyone, so you can help out by informing your fellow masjedi friends, school mates and etc. about this. From time to time they send postal packages including books and gifts to your house as well, but that is up to you whether you would like to give them your postal address or not. Signing up is easy: Simply send an email to iro@imamrezashrine.com . It would be preffered if you would tell them your preferrd language and your religion so they can send you content you can use. If you want to send other people's emails to them as well, use the same email above. Hope it's useful :) Wasalam

  5. (bismillah) (salam) Just wanted to inform my brothers and sisters about the official Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (as) Online Chat Rooms which operates in English, Persian and Arabic. The good in it is that you can learn while you chat and have fun with the rest. It might be boring at times, but then again, what isn't? This is there link with their schedule and how to take part (It needs paltalk messenger basically and then you search "haram" for their room. The instructions have been written for someone who knows nothing about technology!): http://imamrezashrine.aqr.ir/Portal/home/?40541/Timetable%20of%20Scheduled%20Lectures (wasalam) and Thanks :) P.S. You can contribute by spreading the word. Many might be interested :yaali:
  6. Depends on what the City Council decides. Some say he is going to become a minister of Rohani's government. Just because he is the son of rafsanjani doesnt mean he doesnt have the right to be the mayor! The council is chosen by the people which chooses the mayor.
  7. Meh! Rafsanjani's son, Mohsen Rafsanjani, is known to be a great manager. He was the manager of Tehran's Metro system, and when Ahamdinejad refused to give the required budget (by law) to the Tehran's Metro, THAT was when he proved his talents. This is widely believed EVEN by those who HATE hashemi.
  8. Salam, Oh please dont listen to stories of being unsafe about unsafe iran. Alhamdulelah iran is a safe country. Here we have sunni's praying inside the holy shrine of imam reza itself!! Interesting is that sunni's pray in shia mosques without any problem and i've come to realize they tend to pray somewhere at the front (whereas us shia's tend to pray somewhere at the back when we go to sunni mosques) and they are totally fine. Dont engage in politics or actively advertising anything, simply seek knowledge and you will be fine inshallah... And dont listen to all the accusations out there. A friend of my father wanted to visit iran but he was afraid he would be killed; My father assured him he'd be fine. He visited iran and went back and told my father he enjoyed his trip but there was smth that scared him and that was that.... Iranians drive like maniacs!!! lol :D Wasalam
  9. Thanks imaan and faith. Ill see if i have anymore problems. :)
  10. (bismillah) (salam) Imam Reza's Islamic Relations office and foreign pilgrim's affairs is offering a survey about its chatrooms on the internet. You can take part and give your opinions. Although most of you have probably never seen the online programs but you can still take part and fill out the sixth question (last question) which provides a text box for any suggestions, ideas or extra information. Each suggestion and survey will help the shrine in investing in the right path for it to be able to serve and help muslims far from islamic countries and knowledge. Please take part and advertise for it too. Here is the link to the chatrooms page and from there you can choose "program effectiveness survey" to submit your survey. http://imamrezashrin...hat RoomsOnline Every step counts, Thanks, Hossein :)
  11. Does the Shia follow the Prophet’s traditions? Question by: Suran Explanation: Do you know the traditions of the prophet? Do you act upon the prophet’s traditions? First Question Dear friend, if you take a quick look into our books you will find that they are filled with narrations and traditions from the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) (SAWS). On the other hand, according to Ibn Athir Jezri[1] the six righteous books of the Sunni’s, having omitted repeated narrations and traditions, has 9483 narrations whereas on the Shia references, Usool Al Kafi alone has 16199 narrations. Also notice that according to many narrations from Imam Sadegh and Imam Bagher (A.S) they state that they take all their narrations from their fathers and from their grandfathers Imam Ali (A.S) and the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) and they never narrate from themselves and never compare either. Take a look at this narration as an example: Imam Bagher (A.S) said: Oh Jaber, by Allah, if we narrate or issue a ruling based on our own opinions we shall be doomed. We narrate and issue rulings to people based on the works and narrations which have been passed on by one by one of the hearts to us[H1] and we protect these works and narrations just like the lovers of the world whom protect their gold and silver. 102 . Imam Sadegh (A.S) said: My sayings and narrations are those of my father’s, and that of my father’s is of my grandfather, and my grandfather’s narrations are the narrations of Hussain (A.S) and Hussain’s (A.S) narrations are of Hassan (A.S) and Hassan’s narrations are of Amirul Momenin [imam Ali (A.S)] and the narrations of Amirul Momenin are of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) and the narrations of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) are that of God Almighty. Therefore dear friend, we have enough knowledge of the Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W.S) traditions. Answer to the Second Question If you had studied a little bit about the manners and methods of the Shia you would have found that the only group which has defended the prophet’s traditions have been the shia whereas, unfortunately, it was the leaders of the Sunni school which said “God’s book is enough for us and we do not need the prophets writings (meaning the traditions)”[2] in the event of Ghertas[3] when the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) asked for paper and pen to write something and insure the Islamic nation from being misled forever. Also, in those first days after the death of the prophet they gathered all the narrations of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) and burnt them. 30 . Aisha says: “My father had gathered 500 narrations of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) (and put them with me) and he was agonized when he wanted to sleep at night.” Aisha continues saying “I asked my father: Is there a problem or have you heard some bad news that you are agonized like that? When morning came he said: Dear daughter, bring me the narrations which I have given to you, and I brought him the narrations, then he asked for some fire and burnt all of God’s prophet’s narrations… And just as they became the caliph’s they declared that people should put aside the traditions of the prophet and only speak of God’s book. The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) had predicted these days. We will quote two of such narrations as an example for you: 551. Abdullah ibn Abi Rafe’ [4]quotes his father saying: I heard the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) say: I see a day coming when one of you shall be leaning on the bench (of administration), a narration of mine, which I have either told you to do something or prevented you from something, shall be brought to him, so he shall say: What are these things [i don’t understand why we need them]?! I shall follow what I find in God’s book (whatever isn’t in the Quran has no authenticity for us). ق . Abdullah ibn Abi Rafe’ quotes his father saying: a narration of mine, which I have either told you to do something or prevented you from something, shall be brought to one of you, and while leaning on his chair he will say: God’s book is amongst you, whatever I find in the book I shall follow and that which I do not find in the Quran, I need not. (Notice that the narrations are encountered in such a way despite the Quran saying: Surah Al-Hashr, Verse 7. So we should actually say that those whom treated the Holy Prophet’s (S.A.W.S) narrations in such a way were not following the Quran either). Also, the gathering[5] of hadith in the Sunni school started from the time Omar ibn Abdul Aziz[6] and before that period it was illegal to gather narrations. As you know, by the time Omar Ibn Abdul Aziz took power many of Sahaba and those who had memorized the narrations had died and the few who were left, due to the long period from the prophet’s death till that day, had forgotten much of the narrations they had heard because they were not allowed to express them, so it was natural to forget something which you have not repeated and expressed after such a long period. So you whom claim that you are the follower of the prophet’s tradition should ask yourself how much of the true traditions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) you have received. In my opinion, it would be more honorable if you call yourself the followers of the book instead of the followers of the tradition (اهل السنه). 15. Salam Just a quick answer according to sistani doubt after prayer is void. You've finished your prayer so it doesnt matter. Even if it does matter, your prayer is not void, maybe youll need to do a sijdah sahv.
  16. Salam i dont think its really important that you forgot to capitalize it! lol Very simple reaction to make during a heart attack- thanks for sharing
  17. This is What one of the Users said about Imam Reza's Room in Paltalk: http://www.mediafire.com/?vzrb94rnz285563 Listen to it, it might make you want to visit the rooms once.

  19. (bismillah) (salam) I just wanted to introduce you to a new Islamic Chatroom which has been put up by Astane Qudse Razavi (responsible for managing Imam Reza’s Holy Shrine). Recently I found that imam reza’s shrine has started some chatrooms on Paltalk. They bring lecturers, mainly sheikhs, from mashhad and qom. You can hear them live and see them on their webcam. You can even ask them questions if you have one or give your opinion about what they are saying. Its pretty cool. The rooms come in three languages, farsi, Arabic and English. You can get more information and details from their website imamrezashrine.com and from there choose “online chatrooms” or go directly to this link. Wasalam :)
