  1. He never cursed Abu Bakr(ra), Uthman(ra), and Umar(ra) What Sunni scholars has said they don't make mistakes? Is there a Sunni that says they were mausoom? You wont find one. Sunni view is either (a)prophets can make minor mistakes or (B ) no mistakes at all. Everybody else sins, no matter who you are. But we believe the companions were God fearing indviduals, who if they did sin, they repented, so we don't emphesize their mistakes. That was the view of traditonal and conemporaotry sunni scholars, but they still kept those tradtions alive, because it is history, and what they fear is Allah.
  2. Please, stop it. You can't chery pick. You need arabic to really understand. I'm suprised no knowledgable shia has come and stopped you yet... Abu Talib died before they left, and the Ansar are those that gave them aid. I think we all know that... During the persecution by Mecca, the slaves were the most persecuted. Abu Bakr spent his money in the way of emacipating these slaves: Bilal, Ammar, Lubaynah, Umm Ubays, Abu Fakih, Abu Fuhayra, Al-Nahdiah, and Zinnira. Bilal's master used to put a rock on his chest every day, but he would never give up his religon, then Abu Bakr freed him. Uthman: "W
  3. LOL! there you guys go again. Where does Abu Talib come from? Do you know who the Muhajirun are? I'm sure any knowledgable shia would refute you.
  4. Then, shouldn't the shias keep his sunnah alive, and not curse muslims? This is a proof for our authenticy. They complied not what they wanted to hear, but what they heard, and thought was authentic, even if it was against their teachingThe companions were humans, not mausooms, they made mistakes. But it's not fruitful to discuss it, because Allah is please with them, and they are pleased with Allah(my signature). Forgive me. Can you give me the stance of Shias on the Sunnis. I'm ignorant on this matter, I just happend to relate an instance in the past. I'm not lieing, I read something li

  6. It'll keep going down, it doesn't make sense. I don't want to cause fitnah, and I'm not shia, and I want a dialogue. I'm just asking nicely. And for a reaseon. Every thread could end up here. But they don't. Why am I getting special treatment? can you get me an eglish transaltion of the hadiths please Is this the english transaltion?
  7. Tafsir with a Hadiths in it. Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari, Sa`id bin Al-Musayyib, Muhammad bin Sirin, Al-Hasan and Qatadah said that they are those who performed the prayer towards the two Qiblahs with the Messenger of Allah [first toward Jerusalem and later toward the Ka`bah]. That would include Abu Bakr(ra), Umar(ra), Uthman(ra), Ali(ra), Aisha(ra), and everybody else.
  8. "And as first and foremost of those who have forsaken the domain of evil" What does that mean? The first and formost that left the mushrikin of Mecca. Duh. What else can it mean? I'm showing you the transaltions of any transalation I can get a hand on. And it ends up meaning the same thing
  9. Umm, well every thread in Shia/Sunni Dialogue can belong here too. The fact is this is for shia's. I'm a sunni, I'm here for a dialogue. And forget that this board gets no traffic. Please put it back.
  10. Why was this moved? I want it back in the sunni/shia forum I'm a sunni, it should belong there. Don't try to divert the truth.
  11. Lol, there you guys go twisting the quran again. So all these guys are wrong? Muhammad Asad: And as for the first and foremost of those who have forsaken the domain of evil and of those who have sheltered and succoured the Faith, as well as those who follow them in [the way of] righteousness - God is well-pleased with them, and well--pleased are they with Him. And for them has He readied gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide beyond the count of time: this is the triumph supreme! Muhsin Khan: And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah t
  12. SHER: And as for the foremost among the believers, the first of the Emigrants and the Helpers, and those who followed them in the best possible manner, Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with HIM, and HE has prepared for them Gardens underneath which streams flow. They will abide therein for ever. That is the supreme triumph.
  13. KHALIFA: As for the early vanguards who immigrated (Muhajerin), and the supporters who gave them refuge (Ansar) and those who followed them in righteousness, GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. He has prepared for them gardens with flowing streams, wherein they abide forever. This is the greatest triumph
  14. Wallahi, I don't. I would not lie. What is your transaltion. Three transalations: YUSUFALI: The vanguard (of Islam)- the first of those who forsook (their homes) and of those who gave them aid, and (also) those who follow them in (all) good deeds,- well-pleased is Allah with them, as are they with Him: for them hath He prepared gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: that is the supreme felicity. PICKTHAL: And the first to lead the way, of the Muhajirin and the Ansar, and those who followed them in goodness - Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with H
