  1. In some cases it makes people more arrogant. Not all.. but some seem to be above themselves. I believe a true believer would feel less of himself because the closer he is towards Allah swt the more he realises what a insignificant creature he is.
  2. To be with Ahul Bayt a.s and nothing more. They are the guardians of Heaven afterall
  3. Salam all, i believe there is a certain key to open the doors of divine light and that is sincerity. you see doing musthab prayers or other amaal without with right intention won't get you anywhere. that is why there is a minority of arifs and true folllowers because only when the heart has found ikhlass then can it purify every action.
  4. Salam Alaykum, i urge you to not feel disheartened, You performed the most important prayer and that is the Fajr Prayer. Many mistaken the importance of Tahajjud prayers and morning prayers. The beauty of praying night prayers before fajr is so you could perform morning prayers on time. Praying night prayers and missing Fajr prayers is of no use if both are not exercised. The human body needs to be trained. Your body will soon become its own alarm clock and you would no longer need to rely on anything, it will become automatic. It just needs time and perseverance. Insha'Allah you will be where you want to be when the time is right. Fi Amanillah
  5. "If I was destined for Hell, I would tell the inmates of the fire, that I love You".

دعواهم فيها سبحانك اللهم وتحيتهم فيها سلام وآخر دعواهم أن الحمد لله رب العالمين

Their call therein will be, "Exalted are You, O Allah ," and their greeting therein will be, "Peace." And the last of their call will be, "Praise to Allah , Lord of the worlds!" 10:10

  6. Salam Alaykum, I pray that all is well.... it has been quite a while since I have visited this site. However this was the first discussion my eyes layed on and so the topic caught my heart. In my opinion, I do not agree with some of the things mentioned, it could be a suggestion that could possibly help like turning on the light or sleeping on a uncomfortable matress. Or moving the alarm away from you. Personally, it boils down to your intention. I believe if you make the intention to wake up, Allah swt will send you Angels to wake you up, All you need to do is make then intention. Please do not forget us in your Dua. Fi Amanillah

  9. O Allah I am helpless in Your presence, Weak in your bounty, Trapped in Your Kingdom, Hopeless to Your Mercy, Hurt in Your love, Yearning for Your pleasure, but Alas holding onto Your greatest treasure (Ahul Bayt a.s) DrEaMa
  10. Tell him the truth in everything you say, if he refuses then you will always be free knowing you did the right thing by Allah swt. I pray that it goes well for you insha'Allah, put your trust in Allah swt and you will be flying in the clouds no matter what the outcome may be. Fi Amanillah
  11. I think I have seen enough deception throughout my life that is why it constantly floods my thoughts...therefore the most damaging to the soul is to accept the capability of a person's action and to what extent they are willing to fall. Its not the action itself that is frightening but to which extent the person allows himself to destroy. We are all on a journey to the path of Allah swt, every person will endure their own personal test, however in all different circumstances. Sometimes I see people struggle and I see the mercy and Kindness of Allah swt through this struggle because I believe there is a hidden wisdom. However we fail because we are not patient enough to see that the more hardships we endure the closer we get to Allah swt. There is no fear of Allah swt and if there was, this world would not be so wrapped up in materialism . As a consequence people are blind to see that reality is only an illusion. It takes time and energy to understand purpose itself and if we allowed ourselves to ponder we may possibly see why we serve a purpose. I believe the closer we get the further away we are. And that is because the more we come to a realisation about our existance, it will prove in the end that we truely know nothing. I mentioned that Islam is not all about prayers, yes indeed its not but I also believe to govern both, the action and mind will help elevate the individual. Prayers is a cleanser for the soul, if the intention is in the right place then the action will automatically be in the right place. You see one needs both entities to work and that is how one would find answers to what his heart questions. Spirituality can never be taken away from someone unless they allow it themselves, however it is possible that someone may tarnish the very seed that grows within. This is caused by our own perception. Once again, we can either be in denial or we can open our eyes to see that evil is what surrounds us. The strange thing is, the odd ones are the truthful pious ones. And indeed they are very rare to find. The purity of the heart and absence of sins is the key factor and only when the thought of Allah swt is in their every movement, these people are the ones who have found Allah swt. Fi Amanillah
  12. I am a firm believer that only Allah swt indeed has the deepest knowledge of the heart and everyone else will just assume but no-one will ever know its secrets. That is why we are fooled by what we think is 'good' but infact is a intoxication for the soul. I have learnt many things in my life and the one valuable lesson I learnt is that I really cannot trust anyone but Allah swt. Unfortunately this is what is come down to, people are becoming a victim of their own scandel while they point their fingers innocently at others. Islam is about a STANCE, its not about praying or doing your nawafil prayers and musta7ab fasts but about taking the stance to go against everything for the sake of Allah swt. This is what people are failing in, they cannot differentiate between the right and wrong and instead continue with a blind eye for the sake of their own innate desires. The world has now become a place where by, it seems as though it will last forever. A woman must be someone to accomidate another while her real identity is suppressed, I think if a woman is in need of change for the better than she should, however to let go of her spirituality because no-one can understand it, is simply unjust. I have seen it happen unfortunately, and it is disgraceful that she must stand alone. While the man will exceed and elevate in his status because his journey is beyond that of a woman, or so it seems. I guess we have fooled oursleves mostly for creating a world different to what is truely within us. Fi Amanillah
  13. Salam, I think from both genders our expectations are wayyy overrated, we seem to be looking at the worldly gains and what a person is and not WHO he is. It is such a shame to see so many people running after the wrong thing. Some people miss the good opportunity because they were oblivious to see it. I guess at the end of the day the good quality people are rare to find. They stand amongst the filth and dirt whom are brushed away like dust. For Women, their characteristics are not as appreciated unfortunately, it is the other little assets that seem to be more attractive and dominant. For Men, they are all the same, they think the same, they act the same and that too is unfortunate because whether they are religious or non-religious its all the SAME. Fi Amanillah

  15. Salams Photi, I read your posts word by word and see the wisdom of the person you are today...your concern is rare and not many people would bother to be so worried. In Islam if you change one person you have changed a nation. I believe it is the approach we must first anaylse, in your situation its a litte difficult, however there are ways of going about it. Usually in a discussion the debater would not flood his ideas and then wait for the opponent to reply, but using logic and reasoning would get her at least to contemplate. The way I see it, its not about convincing but rather challenging her ideaologies. She will come through once the clouds start dissapearing. Sometimes we don't like to be told why we follow a certain pattern, therefore the question of her belief should put things into perspective. Age is just a number, don't mind the comments by some members, its just lack of understanding. All in all at the end of the day, we know that nothing can happen without the will of Allah swt, and if you believe that you will make a difference in her life than you are also in my prayers. All the best! Fi Amanillah
