  1. AOA, Is anyone aware of a ziyaraat travelling website that does long-term/future dates? I have some time off in June and am looking for a trip. Thank you
  2. Salaam, I might be looking for a change from my Northeastern US roots and was wondering if there are any southern coastal cities with strong shia communities (and halal options)? I'd appreciate any help.
  3. Paying money to enter a contest in which the winner wins some sort of prize. Is it considered gambling and therefore haraam? Examples I can think of, Chuck E. Cheese, video game or sports tournaments, etc.
  4. Just had a random craving for starburst which I haven't had in years so I decided to do a little research... http://www.sistani.org/english/qa/01201/ "Of course, if a chemical change occurs in the original ingredients during the process of manufacturing the gelatin, there is no problem at all in eating it. Similarly, even if one has doubt whether the animal was slaughtered Islamically or not, still there is no problem in adding the gelatin [made from that animal] to the food in such a minute amount that it is completely absorbed in it." Now, here is how gelatin is made: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gelatin A chemical change does occur...therefore I can eat foods with non-pork gelatin?
  5. I recently bought a shaving brush. I did not pay attention to what type of material it was made from. The bristles are from boar. Do I become unpure if I use it on my face to apply shaving soap?
  6. Hello, I have a small question which I need verified. A while back I remember reading something to the like of: Taboots (symbolic representation of a coffin) are not allowed in Iran. I can't find where I read this and was wondering if anyone had a source? (Or even if it's true?). Please let me know. Thank you
  7. There's an Imambargah near Middletown, CT. It primarily caters to the South Asian Shia community. The address is 1 Meriden Road, Rockfall, CT.
  8. I saw this a while ago and was kinda disappointed. I know most people don't choose their names but this is his full name: Zinedine Yazid Zidane From wikipedia btw.

  10. The show is cancelled after this season. They still have more new shows to air for Prison Break. The series finale hasnt happend yet.
  11. They are produced and written really well although I may not believe all of it. I couldn't stop watching it lol.
  12. During my time at our Imambargah, we say Salawat a lot more than Naray Haideri. There is emphasis on both.
  13. Very nice and great quality pictures. What's with the 1 handed matam karachi people?
  14. Prison Break storyline was over when they got trapped in Panama lol. The show has played out.
  15. From what I could get out of it was that some people said before the majlis that they did not like his lecturing and wanted him to stop. And the first group of yelling was not really yelling but encouragement to keep lecturing. I dont think anything really happened in this vid lol.
