  1. Dear sisters, Salamun Alaykum My son is now 2 years old. Since was born he doesn't sleep well at night. He is perfectly fine otherwise but still he wakes up and cries at the middle of the night and I have to rock him to sleep. I have been to a Pediatrician. He advised me to allow him only 30 mintues nap at daytime. Since that was not possible so I reduced his afternoon sleep to 1 to 1 and half hours. He gets very tired by 10:00 pm and he goes to sleep too. But again he gets up at the middle of the night and he starts crying. He sleeps in one of those old Indian type swings (cal

  3. Salaams my Dear Sisters, Time is flying so fast....it's almost the 10th of Ramadhan. I hope we all are able to develop ourselves spiritually in this Grand Month. I have a question that's been bothering me for a while. I really do love to wear toe-rings and it's such a trouble to remember to remove it when doing Wudhoo. Please do let me know if you're aware of the fatwa if Masaa (wiping of feet) is valid while wearing a toe ring. Ive heard that even a very small portion of the foot (even a single toe) is wiped is sufficient for Masaa. References would be really appreciated. Do remember us

  6. I've heard that it's makruh for women to go to Kabristan. And even more so for pregnant women, for them it's especially forbidden to go to the Graveyard. Have you guys heard this as well? Would appreciate clarity on this issue. Your sister in Islam, Zahra
  7. Salaam everybody, My name's Saani-e-Zahra and this is my first post. I'd be extremely grateful for your replies. I've been told by many that, it is haram to pray in the same room, where there are photographs of people (even if they're family photographs), or animals or even if there are soft toys present. Has anybody heard of this ruling? Does anybody have any reference supporting this or not-supporting this idea. What's your view on this? Thank you so much. Shia Chat indeed is a wonderful forum. Your sister in Islam, Saani-e-Zahra
