I personally have never rejected the possibility of raj'a of Imams (as). My point is only that those scholars who don't interpret the raj'a as 'return of people' have a strong point too as we don't have anything clearly or undoubtedly sahih about it in our books of hadith.

It's not about the person i.e. Shaykh Hasan al-Hilli who obviously was a famous scholar. Just because scholars you mentioned above relied or quoted it in their books doesn't makes the narration sahih. We need to have a sahih and muttasil tareeq from the author to the original book of Sa'd (ra). The same reason we don't consider even the reliable isnad narrations in Tafsir al-Qummi as 'sahih' because the tafsir has not reached us through sahih tareeq. Hope you are getting my point now.
^None of these are sahih in isnad. Check the sanad of Ziyarat Jamiah, then you will know why Syed Fadhlallah consider it weak in sanad.

Allama Majlisi has taken this narration from Mukhtasar al-Basair of Shaykh Hasan al-Hilli. A/c to Shaykh Hasan al-Hilli, this narration is from kitab Basair ad-Darajaat of Sa'd b. Abdullah (ra). Even though narrators are reliable, but since the tareeq from Shaykh Hasan al-Hilli to the kitab Basair ad-Darajat of Sa'd is not established as sahih, therefore this narration can't be considered sahih.

So why don't you post a hadith with same or similar matn and authentic and muttasil sanad ? AFAIK, there isn't any.
^ Allama Hilli (ar) has trusted Ibn al-Ghadeiri and placed Salih among daif narrators. Anyway, above doesn't really matters because the sanad is mursal and this itself is enough to grade it as daif. The only way to trust this narration is to get the same/similar matn with reliable narrators and AFAIK, it doesn't exist.
Did you even care to check the individual narrators of that narration? They are all ghulats or extremely daif.

Qa'im mentioned one difference. Another is:

Truly the Qur'an came to proclaim raj'ah in this world, as did many traditions from the house of Infallibility, and all the Imamites believe this, except a few .who have interpreted the pronouncement on raj'ah as meaning that the government will return to the Household of the Prophet together with the power to forbid and command, and that this will be when the Awaited One reappears, without involving the return of people or the giving of life to the dead.

Allama Majlisi in Bihar al-Anwar Vol. 53 has mentioned many ahadith about the details of raj'a but they are all weak in sanad therefore it can't be said for sure that who will return and who will not. Also, a/c to Shaykh Mufeed (ar), all Imamis accept the concept of raj'a but there is ikhtilaf regarding its meanings and details.

The narration is weak. Mentioned in Tafsir al-Ayyashi as mursal from Salih b. Sahl. . .

Jondab_Azdi got a reaction from Syed Demanding in The Usul of 'Everything is permissible. . .'
^If you have read the paper 'THE AKHBARI/USULI DISPUTE IN LATE SAFAWID IRAN', it also shows that this usul has been used by Usulis and not Akhbaris. . .

The mujtahids maintain the basic state in [legal] questions is permissibility. [This is] based on the statement of the Imam, on Him be peace, " Everything is unrestricted until prohibition comes down concerning it ", and on the basis of the universality of the Almighty's statement "He made for you all that is on the earth" (Qur'an, 2:29).
The Akhbaris hesitate on this. Rather, according to them where something does not have a text permitting it there is no means to permitting or forbidding it. Rather it is in the category of uncertainty. [Legal] issues are of three [sorts]: [that] wherein lawfulness is clear, [that] wherein prohibition is clear, and between that [categorization there are] uncertainties.
And this is what they(Akhbaris) says about third category i.e. uncertainity. . .
[The third comprises] uncertainties between these.32 Whoever follows a course based on uncertainties is doing what is forbidden. He will perish because he has no knowledge. Caution is obligatory with regard to every issue on which there is no text transmitted on Their authority, on Them be peace.

    Not sure if it's relevant here but there's a verse (2:286) . . .

Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability; for it is (the benefit of) what it has earned, and upon it (the evil of) what it has wrought; "Our Lord! do not punish us if we forget or do a mistake; Our Lord! do not lay on us a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! do not impose upon us that which we have not the strength to bear; and pardon us and forgive us and have mercy on us; Thou art our Guardian, so help us against the unbelieving people" (286).

There are no guarantees, but dont you think that she has the option to seek this if it is important to her. I dont think a man's past necessarily is a good thing or bad - it depends on how he deals with it so that it does not impact others. But she may feel very strongly that the possiblity is there that either there was an unhappy past relationship that will make him feel less open towards her or an unreciprocated love that he still yearns to have and she is second best.
I dont understand the male response here - I have read so many threads where it is accepted without question that many men only want untouched girls for potential mates. But for a woman to state the same is seen as unrealisitc. What is the difference in thinking??

Because men and women are not the same. The woman submits herself to her husband, the husband however does not submit to his wife. By her having had no relations with anyone but him is like a further cementing of this. The virginity will likely be gone very quickly, but the fact that she has given herself to him, and only him, will remain.

The infallibility of Imams (as) is same as the infallibility of Prophets (as) except Muhammad (saw). The infallibility of Prophet Muhammad (saw) is of higher degree than other Prophets and Imams as he (saw) was protected from the minor sins even before the time of his prophetic mission. This a/c to Mufeed (ar) is the belief of Imamiyah.
If you mean mistakes/negligence/forgetfulness related to religious duty, then a/c to Shaykh Mufeed (ar), all Prophets (as) and Imams (as) are protected from such mistakes during the time as hujjah.
However, Shaykh Saduq (ar) and his teacher Shaykh Muhammad b. Hasan al- Walid (ar) believed in the absentmindedness (sahv) or forgetfulness (nisyan) of Prophet (saw) and Imams (as). Shaykh Saduq mentioned an authentic hadith in al-Faqih related to this:
