  1. عن عبدالواحد بن محمد بن عبدوس ، عن علي بن محمد بن قتيبة ، عن الفضل بن شاذان ، عن محمد بن أبي عمير It's not sahih b/c of two majhool narrators in the sanad. Both majhool a/c to Syed al-Khoei. عبد الواحد بن عبدوس ، وعلي بن محمد بن قتيبة ولم يرد فيهما توثيق w/s
  2. ÞÇá ãÍãÏ Èä ÓäÇä¡ ÍÏËäí ÇáãÝÖá Èä ÚãÑ ÞÇá Yes it's daif and a/c to the its sanad Muhammad b. Sinan narrated it from al-Mufadhal b. Umar which makes it more daif. w/s
  3. In Imami fiqh, it's permissible to marry a minor / non-baligh girl with the permission of her wali. We have sahih hadith about it. w/s
  4. ^Already proved to you before more than once that the real Nasibi supporters are the ones who support the bidah of third shahadah in adhan or the bidah of hitting yourself. Your interpretation of على is wrong. If your interpretation was right then there was no need for Shaykh Hurr al-Amuli to mentioned the exception of غير قبر النبي ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) والأئمة باب كراهة البناء على القبر في غير قبر النبي ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) والأئمة ( عليهم السلام ^Do you think Hurr al- Amuli is saying that it's makruh to built upon the graves other than the graves of Nabi and Aimma (as) ? Means building
  5. Again, we have clear hadith from Imam al-Kadhim (as) condemning all kinds of structures over graves without any exception of Imam / non-Imam. ãÍãÏ Èä ÇáÍÓä ÈÅÓäÇÏå Úä Úáí Èä ÇáÍÓíä ¡ Úä ãÍãÏ Èä íÍíì ¡ Úä ãÍãÏ Èä ÇáÍÓíä Èä ÃÈí ÇáÎØÇÈ ¡ Úä Úáí Èä ÃÓÈÇØ ¡ Úä Úáí Èä ÌÚÝÑ ÞÇá : ÓÃáÊ ÃÈÇ ÇáÍÓä ãæÓì ( Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã ) Úä ÇáÈäÇÁ Úáì ÇáÞÈÑ æÇáÌáæÓ Úáíå åá íÕáÍ ¿ áãÇá : áÇ íÕáÍ ÇáÈäÇÁ Úáíå æáÇ ÇáÌáæÓ æáÇ ÊÌÕíÕå æáÇÊØííäå w/s
  6. Its being ignored because its not a proof. The proof are the sahih hadith of Ahlul bayt (as) which is explicit about prohibition of building of structure over graves. These mursal timeslines can only be used as proof if you can get a reliable hadith from Imam that those shrines were built on the order of Imam or at least that Imam was ok with it. But there is no such hadith. On the other hand, we have clear hadith about prohibition which doesn't mentions any exception (Imam / non-Imam).
  7. Most of the investments on such shrines is done by Ahlul Bidah (Sufis/Sunnis, Bohras, Ismailis, etc).
  8. ^These are just excuses. What more explicit proofs are you looking for? In a clear sahih hadith, brother of Imam (as) Ali b. Jafar (ra) explicitly asking Imam al-Kadhim (as) about permissibility of building structure over graves and Imam answering with clear No. And based on this sahih hadith Shaykh al-Tusi gave general fatwa that it's makruh to build structure over graves. تجصيص القبور والبناء عليه في المواضع المباحة مكروه إجماعا If there was any exception, then Imam would have cleared it that it's not permissible to build structure over non-Imam grave but its permissible to build structur
  9. AFAIK, Prophet (saw) was buried in the house of Aisha. Why would Imam (as) want Prophet (saw) to be buried in the house of Aisha and not other better wives? Do you think that he (saw) was buried in the house of Aisha on the order of Imam? If yes, then where is the proof? Prophet being buried in the house of Aisha is good enough proof that it was not the order/decision of Imam (as). Looking at most events of that period, it seems that it was the decision of companions and not Imam (as) to bury Prophet (saw) in the house of Aisha. And if it was the decision of companion and not Imam, then it is
  10. Do what Imam (as) said. See these two sahih hadith a brother posted: w/s
  11. The same marjas also allowed the bidah of third shahadah in adhan, bidah of hitting yourself, bidah of allowing chess, bidah of allowing use of all musical instruments and much more. Now to go with the marjas or Imams of Ahlul bayt (as), the choice is yours. Alhamdulilah, I prefer Imams (as) and sahih hadith of Imam is very clear about not building any structure over grave. The discussion is not about not respecting the graves of Imams (as). It should be respected and ziyarah to the grave of all Imams (as) is mustahab. We have many sahih hadith about sawab of ziyarah to grave of Imams (as).
  12. ^Shaykh Hurr al-Amuli (ar), Allama Majlisi, Syed al-Khoei (ar) and Imam al-Khomeini (ra) also didn't consider this book reliable. w/s
  13. Yes it's not proven to be from Imam al-Sadiq (as) ãÕÈÇÍ ÇáÔÑíÚÉ æãÝÊÇÍ ÇáÍÞíÞÉ . ãäÓæÈ Åáì ÇáÅãÇã ÇáÕÇÏÞ Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã æåæ áã íËÈÊ http://www.alradhy.com/book/searsh/tf.htm w/s
  14. ^There is no sahih sanad for this narration. Not in Shi'a, nor in Sunni ahadith. w/s
  15. The sahih ahadith of Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (as) are very clear on this issue. Avjar already answered it here. w/s
  16. Scholars (past, present, classical, non-classical) are not ma'sum. I think his opinion is also that, in case of contradiction we should prefer the akhbar of Ahlul bayt (as) over the view of scholar. And in this case, the sahih hadith of Ahlul bayt (as) is very clear. So even if a classical scholar permitted a building of shrine, we should prefer the akhbar of Ahlul bayt (as). w/s Yes we have many : w/s
  17. ^I dont think that's accurate translation. The arabic: Úä ÇáÈäÇÁ Úáì ÇáÞÈÑ æÇáÌáæÓ Úáíå åá íÕáÍ ¿ Ali b. Jafar (ra) asked Imam (as) about building on grave and sitting on them. To confirm, you can compare this translation with a similar sunni hadith translated here: http://books.google.com.pk/books?id=ii2k7-iisTcC&pg=PP372&dq=#v=onepage&q&f=false 'sitting on them or building over them' (chapter 39, hadith 489) The only difference is that for 'sitting' the arabic word used in sunni version is íÞÚÏ instead of ÇáÌáæÓ w/s
  18. The prohibition is about building, sitting, plastering on the grave. w/s
  19. Not just Sunnis. Exactly same usul is used by Shi'a scholars too. w/s
  20. See Post # 16 for the sahih hadith. Post # 18 for its translation and authenticity. Btw, the chain is clearly sahih, no scholar would disagree with its authenticity. From the wordings of the hadith, it doesn't looks like a mere recommendation. It's a clear NO. (لَا يَصْلُحُ الْبِنَاءُ عَلَيْهِ) w/s
  21. Bombing obviously is not the right way to get rid of the bidah of shrines. If the shrine is a property of a person then yes it would be wrong to destroy it without his permission. But once you have the permission, then it should be destroyed. A clear sahih hadith from Imam al-Kadhim (as) already posted which says that its wrong to build structures over graves. This justifies the destruction of shrines with the permission of state or owner of that property/land. w/s
  22. Syed al-Khoei has discussed these narrations in Mujam ar-Rijal. 1- ÌÚÝÑ Èä ãÚÑæÝ áã íæËøÞ 2- æåí ÖÚíÝÉ ÈÇáÇÑÓÇá: ÃæáÇð áÌåÇáÉ ØÑíÞ ÇáßÔøí Åáì ãÍãÏ Èä ÚíÓì Èä ÚÈíÏ¡æÈãÍãÏ Èä ÓäÇä æãæÓì Èä ÈßÑ ÇáæÇÓØí ËÇäíÇð w/s
  23. A/c to Sunni sources, even Imam Ali b. al-Hussain (as) recited it . . . ÍÏËäÇ ÃÈæ ÈßÑ ÞÇá ÃäÇ ÍÇÊã Èä ÅÓãÇÚíá Úä ÌÚÝÑ Úä ÃÈíå æãÓáã Èä ÃÈí ãÑíã Ãä Úáí Èä ÍÓíä ßÇä íÄÐä ÝÅÐÇ ÈáÛ Íí Úáì ÇáÝáÇÍ ÞÇá Íí Úáì ÎíÑ ÇáÚãá æíÞæá åæ ÇáÃÐÇä ÇáÃæá http://www.islamweb.net/newlibrary/display_book.php?idfrom=233&idto=233&bk_no=10&ID=219 w/s
  24. There are many ahadith against building any structure over grave. From al-Wasael, Vol.3 ãÍãÏ Èä ÇáÍÓä ÈÅÓäÇÏå Úä Úáí Èä ÇáÍÓíä ¡ Úä ãÍãÏ Èä íÍíì ¡ Úä ãÍãÏ Èä ÇáÍÓíä Èä ÃÈí ÇáÎØÇÈ ¡ Úä Úáí Èä ÃÓÈÇØ ¡ Úä Úáí Èä ÌÚÝÑ ÞÇá : ÓÃáÊ ÃÈÇ ÇáÍÓä ãæÓì ( Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã ) Úä ÇáÈäÇÁ Úáì ÇáÞÈÑ æÇáÌáæÓ Úáíå åá íÕáÍ ¿ áãÇá : áÇ íÕáÍ ÇáÈäÇÁ Úáíå æáÇ ÇáÌáæÓ æáÇ ÊÌÕíÕå æáÇÊØííäå ^Sanad seems fine. And a/c to Shaykh Tusi (ar) it is makruh. From al-Mabsut. . . ÊÌÕíÕ ÇáÞÈæÑ æÇáÈäÇÁ Úáíå Ýí ÇáãæÇÖÚ ÇáãÈÇÍÉ ãßÑæå ÅÌãÇÚÇ w/s Yes, you are right. It should be translated as 'grave'. w/s
  25. ^He (ra) was a fallible companion, not Imam. Don't know why you are arguing so much in this case. He is Yunus (ra) and not Ibn Abi Umayr, Safwan (ra) or al-Bazanti (ra). There are/were ulema such as Shahid al-Thani, al-Khoei and many many others who didn't even consider the maraseel of Ibn Abi Umayr (ra) as hujjah. Usuls are made to be followed. w/s
