  3. (salam) what does it mean to see Imam Hussain in a dream? a family friend told us she's been seeing a man wearing a turban shedding tears of blood, and after watching the programme on karbala yesterday on channel four, and seeing depictions of Imam Hussain (as), realised who it was she was seeing (she is sunni), and told us that this figure in her Dreams is Imam Hussain (as). what would it mean? wassalam
  4. salam, i have a question, what if a girl and a boy have done muta, and within their marriage contract they made stipulations that they would get permanent marriage done within a period of two years, as well as the other necessary stipulations ie agreement on the length of the muta etc. after this is done, if the boy decides not to marry this girl permenently (but stay with her still, until the muta is over), is he doing something haraam? ie not keeping with the stipulations of his muta agreement? whats the penalty of breaking the clauses of the muta agreement? if any?

  8. (salam) most parents from india/pakistan are generally like that: i.e. listen to us, marry someone who WE like, and will be able to speak to, get on with and so on, without really looking at whether their children are happy, and put them on a guilt trip when the children say they dont wanna marry where their parents want them to. and also, parents always say they'll curse you if you dont listen to them and marry girls/boys of their choice, but it really doesn't last long, and soon enough parents are back to normal and will deifinately be happy when they see that their children are happy with their spouses. coz all parents want is for their children to be happy. maybe you should get a respected but trustable family member, like say an uncle who would listen to you, and ask them to speak to your parents for you? coz getting someone else to help with the situation may prove fruitful... but all this is all well and good, but as long as you know that this girl is good FOR you as well as just someone you like. coz you could like someone, but theyr really bad for you in regards to your faith and your life, if you know what i mean... well i hope this helps, but i do think that completely abandoning everything and just doing what your parents say could easily go really bad for you, and you'll be regretting leaving that iranian girl for the rest of your life (unless you end up really loving this syed paki girl, which could go either way) and your parents would also be unhappy that you are so unhapy, and regret their own decision. just try reasoning with your parents, because at the end of the day, every parent wants their children to be happy, but most paki parents want is all cultural stuff like respect from people, and the age old question, 'what will people say if my son marries a non syed non paki'? its all about image and what people think of you that is most imporant to asians it seems, rather than what is good for you islamically... it happens all the time.... but still, tings may change, and your parents may allow you to marry this girl if they see she is the only thing that will keep you happy for all those long years you'll be together. plus it doesn't make a difference really, coz your kid's will be syed anyway. my cousin married a non-syed, the family went mad, but in the end everyhting died down amd things are happy and good now coz he's happy so his family is also happy, and his kids are syed. so give it a while and hopefully inshallah your parents should come round... good luck anyway, i'd hate to see things go wrong its the kinda thing thats seems to be happening to everyone though

  10. i found the following dua in the duas.org website: can i write it in english as it is written below, or in actual arabic script writing, and where can i get the arabic version, because i have looked on the internet and cant find it in arabic. anyone know anything? thanks 1.Imam Ali Ibn abi Talib said : Whoso keep the following du-a'a written on skin of a deer, shall remain safe from the influence of any magic. 12. (salam) thanks SNaqvi, but i dont know the dua e jaushan, can you post it on here, or email it to me? it would be really appreciated, and your right about the marriage probably being worse coz the family will make it hard for her, but i doubt she'd leave it just at that, i think my friends gonna keep on trying... thanks anyway
  13. (salam) umm ive tried so many times generally to get to that www.duas.org website but every time i try to get to it, it says, 'page cannot be displayed' and that has been happening for ages and ages... and what sheikh could she ask? apparently she asked a sheikh and thats what he said, that its black magic on the guy... thats why things are happening as they are... but maybe she should ask someone else, i dont know, if anyone knows any sheikh who knows how to effectively deal with this kinda stuff, please send some contact details... thanks :D wassalam
  14. salam do people really beat that kind of stuff i.e. magic out of you? and does that work..... ?? aliyah
  15. salam thanks for your reply, what kind of talismans can you use, like wearing ayat al kursi as a talisman or something? i dont think this guy believes black magic exists so i doubt he'd wear a talisman for something he doesnt believe exists! if you could tell me about that talismans etc it would be really really appreciated... thanks! aliyah
