  1. “And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him, He will send you (from the sky) abundant rain, and add strength to your strength, so do not turn away as Mujrimoon (criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah).”[Hood 11:52] People who remember Allah 2) “And the men and the women who remember Allaah much with their hearts and tongues. Allaah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).” [al’Ahzaab 33:35] Allah Almighty is Beneficient and loves those who are beneficent towards His creation. Another Verse about the poor. 3) “And let not those among you who are blessed with graces and wealth swear not to give (any sort of help) to their kinsmen, Al-Masakin (the poor), and those who left their homes for Allah’s Cause. Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” [An’Nur24:22] 4) “And obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad P.B.U.H) that you may obtain mercy. And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun.” [Al’Imran3:132,133] Allah Subhana Hu Ta’ala never returns a person empty-handed. Always hope for forgiveness. 5) “Hold to forgiveness, command what is right, and turn away from the ignorant.” [ Al-‘Araf 7: 199] Whether you (mankind) disclose (by good words of thanks) a good deed (done to you in the form of a favour by someone), or conceal it, or pardon an evil, … verily, Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, All-Powerful.”[Al’Nisa 4:149] Sister Hannie, Allah will forgive everything except Shirk. But Allah will even forgive shirk while a person is still alive if they repent sincerely from the shirk In Sha Allah. Repent to Allah sincerely. I'm not sure about what you said about a person must forgive you or they get your good deeds... I don't think it works that way home girl lolzzz. But you can ask. I also advise you to try to make amends to the people you hurt if you can do it safely and with respect. May Allah guide you and forgive you
  2. Yeah his school is called Islamic online university. I've read his books ''Fundamentals of Tawheed'', The purpose of creation'', 'usool at tafseer'( the methodology of quranic interpretation) and ''Ibn Taymiyyah's Essay On The Heart''. Dr.Philips is a good Man and Muslim.
  3. Before I became interested in Shia Islam Alhamdulillah I used to read books by Dr. Bilal Philips. Dr. Philips is a salafi with Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa‘ah. He has a diploma in Arabic and a B.A. from the College of islamic Disciplines (Usul ad-Deen) at the Islamic University of Madinah in 1979.
  4. Salaam Sister Hannie, Your sadness could be caused by many things. It could be Allah testing you to make you patient and righteous. Allah tests some people with poverty, others with emotional distress, others with illness, and yet others with prosperity and fame: Who has created death and life that He may test which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving. [67: 2)] Or do you think that you will enter Paradise before Allah tests those of you who fought (in His Cause) and (also) tests those who are As-Sabirun (the patient)? [3: 142)]. You shall certainly be tried and tested in your wealth and properties and in your personal selves. [3: 186] Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: ‘We believe,’ and will not be tested. And We indeed tested those who were before them… [Surat al Ankabut,2-4] What to do when Allah tests us? And seek help in patience and As-Salah and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for humbly submissive [to Allah] [2:45]. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims. [7:126] Another problem you may have Sister is you might be suffering from clinical depression. Symptoms in adults: A person having a major depressive episode usually exhibits a low mood, which pervades all aspects of life, and an inability to experience pleasure in previously enjoyable activities. Depressed people may be preoccupied with—or ruminate over—thoughts and feelings of worthlessness, inappropriate guilt or regret, helplessness or hopelessness. In severe cases, depressed people may have symptoms of psychosis. These symptoms include delusions or, less commonly, hallucinations, usually unpleasant. Symptoms in children: In younger children, symptoms of depression may include sadness, irritability, clinginess, worry, aches and pains, refusing to go to school, or being underweight. Symptoms in teens: In teens, symptoms may include sadness, irritability, feeling negative and worthless, anger, poor performance or poor attendance at school, feeling misunderstood and extremely sensitive, using recreational drugs or alcohol, eating or sleeping too much, self-harm, loss of interest in normal activities, and avoidance of social interaction. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms..Please seek help. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Islam forbids seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist or taking depression medication. Believe me Sister you don't want to get yourself to the point of Allah forbid wanting to commit suicide or Allah forbid attempting suicide. May Allah guide you and bless you and keep you safe.
  5. Then I was guided by Dr. Muhammad Al Tijani. In Sha Allah my next book will be 40 hadith by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini
  6. Salam, Drinking plenty of water is the best thing in the heat so you could bring him some cool water once in a while but even a cool soda or ice tea would be great too. You can also give him a cool, wet towel so he can wear on his neck once in a while or wipe his face with. I'm pretty sure whatever way you can help him would be greatly appreciated by him. May Allah reward you and this man.
  7. This is guest I want to be a Shia. I just wanted to let everyone on here know that I just joined Shiachat.
