  1. I can tell you when I took the shahada I felt god consciousness become 24-7. I used to view Allah as distant and cold when I was Jewish.
  2. His lectures are well worth your time. Many things he brings up about Mary (عليه السلام) and the disciples is fascinating.
  3. He reverted to Shia Islam! He liked my comment just now when I posted thanking him for mentioning genesis 17:20.
  4. I know what your going through. I wake up everyday so sick of living in the west where the people don’t want to talk about religion and international politics. I just got done with lunch and all the topics were my Jewish relatives talking about rich people and how devastating covid is. At least tonight I got an invite from my brother’s girlfriend to a church. I hope to talk to the pastor and debate Shia Islam with him. The excitement of being a Shia now a days…Your in my prayers.
  5. Thank you for your excellent read. I just finished it and look forward to spreading it to all my family and friends.
  6. Salam, Dont let extremists define the religion for you. There are plenty of Shias who want strong interfaith with Sunnis, Christians, Jews, etc. Focus instead on the hadiths and what’s at stake on the day of judgement for those who for example don’t know about imam al Mahdi and his lineage.
  7. “The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.”—Ezekiel 18:20 “Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin. “—Deuteronomy 24:16 Christianity clearly contradicts this simple logic in the Old Testament.
  8. Who are those two messiahs? Prophet Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and Imam al Mahdi (عليه السلام).
  9. Who was worshipped before Jesus was born? Who did Mary worship before Jesus was born? When exactly was Jesus worshipped? Did his mother worship him when he was born? Did Jesus tell his disciples to worship him? Did Jesus worship himself?
  10. “I am worn out from calling for help, and my throat is aching.”(6) “I have strained my eyes looking for help.”(7) “It is for your sake that I have been insulted.”(8) “I am like a stranger to my brothers, like a foreigner to my family.” (9) “Those who hate me for no reason are more numerous than the hairs of my head. My enemies tell lies against me. They are strong and want to kill me.”(10) “When I was hungry they gave me poison, when I was thirsty, they offered me vinegar”(13). “I have relied on you Lord since the day I was born, and you have always been my God.”(14) “My strength is gone; my throat is as dry as dust and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.”(15) “A gang of evil men is around me.”(16) “My enemies look at me and stare.”(17) “They gamble for my clothes and divide them amongst themselves.”(18) “Strike them with blindness. Make their backs always weak. Pour out your anger on them; let your indignation overtake them. May their camps be left deserted; may no one be left alive in their tents. Keep a record of all their sins; do not let them have any part in your salvation. May their names be erased from the book of the living; may they not be included in the list of your people.”(20) “We despised him and rejected him; he endured suffering and pain. No one even looked at him.”(21). He endured it humbly. Like a lamb to be slaughtered, like a sheep to be sheared, even though he had never committed a crime or ever told a lie.” (22). It was my will that he should suffer; his death was a sacrifice…and so he will see his descendants; he will live a long life and through him my purpose will succeed. After a life of suffering, he will again have joy; he will know that he did not suffer in vain. My devoted servant with whom I am pleased, and so I will give him a place amongst great and powerful men. He willingly gave his life” (23) 6- Psalms, 69:3 7- Psalms, 69:3 8- Psalms, 69:7 9- Psalms, 69: 8 10- Psalms, 69:4 13- Psalms, 69:21 14- Psalms, 22:10 15- Psalms, 22:15 16- Psalms, 22:16 17- Psalms, 22:17 18- Psalms, 22:18 20- Psalms, 69: 23, 25, 27, 28 21- Isaiah, 53:3 22- Isaiah,53:7, 9 23- Isaiah,53: 10, 11, 13 https://im.imamhussain.org/english/articles/7363
  11. No he didn’t. Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) never claimed divinity. Show us in the Bible where he explicitly says “worship me” or “I am god”. Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is saying if you accept him as a prophet you have recognized god. The same logic is also true of Christians who refuse to accept Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) are the same as the Jews who refused to accept Christ (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) during his advent. See the problem with Christians is they are taking their texts too literally when their books have been tampered with…which is a dangerous combination.
  12. "And as for Isma'il, I have blessed him, and I have made him fruitful. And I have truly multiplied him, he will beget twelve leaders and I will provide for him a large nation." Book of Genesis Chapter 17 verse 20 Imam Muhammad al-Baqir ((عليه السلام).) says: "We are the remnant of progeny. And that was the prayer of Ibrahim ((عليه السلام).) regarding us." https://www.al-islam.org/twelve-successors-holy-prophet-sayyid-murtadha-al-askari/twelve-imams-old-testament “The religion will continue until the Hour, having twelve caliphs for you, all of them will be from Quraysh”—Sahih Muslim https://www.al-islam.org/twelve-successors-holy-prophet-sayyid-murtadha-al-askari/narrations-holy-prophet-s-stipulating
  13. Are there any books in English that you would recommend? I did get al Kafi.
  14. Speaking as a former Jew before reverting to Shia Islam, the reason they don’t accept yeshua (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Mashiach is because of what Christians turned Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) into. A Jew is not going to renounce G-d for the Trinity. They would rather be sent to the gas chambers all over again then ever becoming a Christian…just saying. That and the crusades, the inquisitions…not a pretty history for Jews to want to become Christians. This is the beauty of Islam. It brings the Jews and Christians together: one god (Jews like) and embracing Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) (Christians like).
  15. Bro I am having this issue myself. The Shia masjid I go to is never open even for Friday prayers just Ramadan and Muharram so I find myself praying at sunni mosques. Best thing I can suggest is for you to help do dawah for the Sunnis and strengthen your faith in Shia Islam since it’s definitely the harder path to take being the minority that it is. By the way if you know of any hadiths I can use against the Sunnis that would be great. I came to Shia Islam via Judaism so I don’t know much about the hadiths like I should…all the best!
  16. Salam everyone, Based on where I live, I find myself praying more often at a Sunni masjid than Shia. What are some hadiths I should be aware of that argue in favor of imam Ali beside the two weighty things? I came to this faith based on Imamate being a biblical construct so I am not equipped on how to argue with the Sunnis using their own books like I am with the Jews and Christians. Much help would be appreciated.
  17. I have read the New Testament. It is incomplete because Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was not crucified. He was raised up to heaven and will come down a second time to revert the world towards islam. I suggest you follow Jesus’ religion and it wasn’t Christianity. Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad are muslims. The only way to paradise is being a Muslim. Christians are burning in hell for blasphemy against God. Now I suggest you read the Holy Quran. It is the final revelation sent down to mankind.
  18. Have fun worshipping a man. The door is always open for you to read the Holy Quran and complete your faith when the time is right. Allah is always ready to forgive you when your repentance is sincere.
  19. Your making false assumptions about Muslims as if we do not know the old and New Testament. You believe God is a man because I asked you earlier if Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) were sent down right now you would start to worship him. That is idolatry. Your breaking the first commandment. I suggest you read the Holy Quran. Your passion for the old and New Testament is clear but it needs completion. Islam completes the faith of Christianity. If you truly loved Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) you would follow his religion which is Shia Islam.
  20. If you truly trusted Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) you would follow his religion which is Islam. If you do not repent, on the day of judgement, your going to feel foolish when you realize Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was not crucified. He will testify against you and the rest of the Christians as they are all thrown into hell for blaspheming Allah Almighty. You have been warned: accept prophet muhammad and the 12 imams, which is shia islam, for your salvation.
  21. That does not make the Holy Spirit God though you do realize this? God is not a trinity. No where in the Bible is Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) say that God and the Holy Spirit are all one. It’s blasphemous and dangerous just like the concept of original sin which is refuted by the Old Testament.
  22. Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was not a blasphemer. It is the Christians who blaspheme when they turn him into God. Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) worshipped Allah alone, he was not a Christian, but a Muslim. If Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was a Christian he would of worshipped himself and would be thrown into hell. Jesus (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was sent specifically to the children of Israel because the jews would never turn a prophet of god into a deity like the Christians have. Accept prophet Muhammad and the 12 imams for your salvation. May Allah forgive you and guide you to the light.
  23. Also recall that the prophets like Abraham, Noah, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad were infallible too for their time.
  24. The Holy Spirit is not a he. It is not a gender. Meanwhile the spirit of truth is called a he in multiple scenarios that I have already shown you. The only prophet to come after Jesus Christ is Prophet Muhammad pbut who fulfilled the criteria to being the spirit of truth.
