  1. I have a question. What is his take on Saudi-UAE-American devillish alliance against the Shafii-Sunni and Zaydi Shia Muslims of Yemen? Is he pro UAE-Saudi-America or Pro-Yemeni? Thanks.
  2. Dave, the Holy Quran talks about the miracles of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) as well and it is not just splitting of the moon. There is the miracle of Isra (Night Journey).. Miraj (Ascension - Qaaba Qawsayn).. etc mentioned in the Holy Quran as well. And some scholars listed the miracles of the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) recorded in both sunni and shia sources. I suggest reading "Mujeezat-e Ahmadiyya" (the Miracles of Ahmad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) by Said Nursi: http://www.mediafire.com/file/0jugehkwuue3w1g/THE-MIRACLES-OF-MUHAMMAD.pdf/file
  3. Quote from the book Man and Universe by Martyr Ayatullah Murtaza Mutahhari https://www.al-islam.org/man-and-universe-murtadha-mutahhari/ Quote from the book; Understanding the Quran by Martyr Ayatullah Murtaza Mutahhari https://www.al-islam.org/understanding-quran-part-2-murtadha-mutahhari/
  4. Salam. Prophets can perform miracles by the will of Allah. And [We disposed] for Solomon the tempestuous wind which blew by his command toward the land which We have blessed, and We have knowledge of all things. (Al-Anbiya 81) As you see, Prophets can perform miracles by the grace of the Lord. However, they reject and not perform miracles when the other party is not sincere. You say "throwing pearls before swine" in English for such cases I suppose. Why perform miracles when the other party is not sincere in their request and belittle the signs of God? Or when they ask for their doom? Or when they ask for impossible things? See Surah al-Isra 90-93 to know what I mean. They are asking the Prophet to show God to them literally (which is impossible), or that Prophet brings them worldly materials (which is the opposite of what the Prophethood about) or that sky falls upon them (their doom) or other stupid things. But when they are sincere, the Prophet performs miracles even if they don't ask for miracles. With your permission my dear friend, I will quote related parts from my fav. books.
  5. wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullah. welcome to the forum. I hope you like it here. You may find these two short videos interesting. They are prepared by Islamic Pulse which is run by English speaking students at Al Mostafa International Islamic University in Iran and these videos quote the Holy Quran, Hadiths and Fatawa of Maraji and discuss the topic well. https://islamicpulse.tv/ivideo/how-haram-is-music-biskit/ https://islamicpulse.tv/ivideo/halal-vs-haram-music-ghina-total-clarity-biskit-english/ Clearly there are halal vs haram music and it depends on not the type (instruments or melody being used) in the music rather it depends on the lyrics and what feelings that specific song awaken in you.
  6. I understand your question. But, it is simple. Before the Miraj, apart from NAWAFIL, Muslims were only ordered to perform 2 prayers; not five. I mean, in the Meraj (the ascension of the Holy Prophet), the Dhur, Asr and Maghrib prayers were added as obligatory prayers. Before that Muslims used to pray FAJR and ISHA only. And the proof for this is not only in Hadiths. It is in the Holy Quran. The verses; Taha 130 https://tanzil.net/#20:130 and Ghafir 55 https://tanzil.net/#40:55 only talk about 2 prayers daily. And these surahs (Taha and Ghafir) are Makki, meaning that they were revealed in Meccah before the Hijrah to Madina. And the verse Al Isra 78 https://tanzil.net/#17:78 talks about 3 prayer times, and these verses Isra 73-80 were revealed in Madinah after the Miraj. So as you see, the maghrib prayer with 3 units were not there before the Miraj. About Isha though, it might have been 2 units before the Miraj. I don't know.
  7. That's what I was looking for. Thank you.
  8. Here's the crimes map, what Saudi-American alliance has been doing in Yemen: https://english.almasirah.net.ye/map_en.php
  9. After Marib is freed they will probably make a u turn, just like they did in Syria.
  10. Salam. I like the website http://www.islamquest.net And I like how they offer a Short Answer and a Detailed Answer to many Queries. But lately when I click on topics, I only see the question and not the answer. And it creates problems and raises questions in my mind rather than answering. If you know them, could you ask them to not publish the questions in different languages unless they have the translations of the answers? Thanks.
  11. Wa salam. Is it international? I can help you with the Turkish translation as long as you let us post a few islamic articles-videos-websites as ads after your site grows. Name suggestions; Noor/Light Jannah/Paradise Yasin Pure
  12. Wa alaikum salam. There is this famous hadith about units of prayers being determined in the Meraj of the Holy Prophet, recorded in both shia and sunni narrations. https://www.al-islam.org/miraj-night-ascension/ahadith-traditions#hadith-n-27-salat
  13. Common sunnis with no attachment to wahhabism, i.e. Saudis do not have financial support to continue their service online I guess.
  14. It is not a shia-sunni thing. Shiites and Sunnis likewise perform Jumuah Prayers. And it is obligatory for all of them. However, there are some additionary rulings-criteria in Islam (Quran and Sunnah) that also should be met first in order to offer it. Take Building vs Demolishing Masjids for example. Even though demolishing masjids is one of the greatest oppressions (see Surah Baqara; 114), we have the example of Masjid al Dirar, because that is an exception. That masjid did not meet the criteria of Islam. Likewise, even though abandoning Friday Prayers is a sin and oppression, it might not be the case in certain times and places. I was a Sunni, so I know. There is the concepts of Dar al Islam, Dar al Harb, Dar al Sulh etc. in sunnism where the rulings and jurisprudence of the four madhabs change. According to some Sunni Madhabs, in some places (Dar al Harb) you are not allowed to have real estate (where you have the threat of being deprived of citizenship or forced to migrate or that they may confiscate your wealth).. You are not allowed to perform congregational prayers (whre you have the threat of mass murder).. etc. It is all there in the fiqh books of the sunnis. Likewise, the Jafari, Zaydi etc. Madhabs of the Shia Muslims have rulings alike. I mean, in a world where Takfiri Terrorists blow themselves up in Shiite Muslims' Friday Congregations (it happened last week in Afghanistan and a week before that, hundreds of Shia Muslims were martyred while performing Friday Prayers), you shouldn't have to perform it and become a target. You should take precautions (i.e. pray seperately or at home). That's the ruling in DAR AL HARB (i.e. the Land in War). Likewise, when the American Hegemony and all its servants may put you on the sanctions list (like they do to Iranians-Iraqis-Syrians, Lebanese and Yemenis) and confiscate all your wealth, investment etc., you should take precautions. Anyway, the Maraji and Jurists of the Shiite Muslims rule that Friday Prayers is a must. And they pray it in huge congregations, more crowded than the sunnis. (Please note that "According to a Shiite Islamic law, only one Friday prayer may be prayed in a radius of 1 Farsah (3 miles). If two prayers are held within this distance, the latter will be null and void." So, the shia muslims congregations is really crowded.). BUT in a place where Shiite Muslims are guardianless (absence of wilayat-guarding leader and system) and/or not safe, then it is OK for them to not perform it in congregation. And the attacks in Afghanistan this month is a proof for this.
  15. The concept of Wilayat al Faqih was always there in shia Islam. See: https://www.purestream-media.com/video/imam-mahdi-a-wilayat-al-faqih-sayyid-hashim-al-haidari-arabic-sub-english/ Syed mentions a quote from the book Aqa’ed al-Imamiah (The Beliefs of Twelvers) by Muhammad Rida al-Muzaffar al-Najafi written in early 1900s. However, Islamic Revolution in Iran made it real. People were expecting it to happen in Iraq first. So the enemy made sure it does not happen. And a British Spy knowing about the dangers to their hegemony-imperialism is not a surprise. Thanks for the info.
  16. Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi rajioon. The writer of this book and three other books and Davet Dergisi (Islamic Invitation Monthly Journals), the leader of the Hizbullahi Movement in Turkey (Islami Davet), Ustad Hilmi Kocaaslan AKA Sheikh Hizbullah Hakverdi passed away yesterday. Here's the taziyah message of his followers. English translation:
  17. Wa salam. Welcome to the forum. I kindly suggest you should read his works instead. Rather than reading misquotes and mistranslations and disinformation on his books on wahhabi websites. Here are some of his books translated into English: https://www.al-islam.org/adab-salat-disciplines-prayer-second-revised-edition-sayyid-ruhullah-musawi-khomeini https://www.al-islam.org/forty-hadith-exposition-second-revised-edition-sayyid-ruhullah-musawi-khomeini https://www.al-islam.org/imam-khomeinis-last-will-and-testament
  18. Wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. What a nice journey to God Almighty. May Allah bless you and assist you on the path. Congregations-Communities is a must, especially for new reverts. Because if you are a part of a community, you do not indulge and waste your time in meaningless discussions-debates with the other Muslim Denominatios. Rather you benefit from your community and maybe find an opportunity to grow spiritually (irfan). Because you won't be busy defending your faith, rather you will be practicing it more. (Salah, Supplications, Dhikr, Lectures etc.) And I am sure, the communities you contacted via e-mail, did not see the mails. Many online websites don't check hteir e-mails. Or check it later due to their busy schedule. Or may be there is another reason. In such cases, we need to be thinking positively of others (what was the sufi word for this? Husn al Dhann?). Maybe you call them instead of e-mailing? Or drop by. I am sure they will welcome you. May Allah bless you. We don't use hadiths. We follow them and ask others (our sunni brethren) to follow them as well, telling them these hadiths are also available in their own sources. May Allah bless you.
  19. Thank you so much. May Allah bless you. This is what I need. Thanks.
  20. Snake.io and I pick the the nickname "shiachat". So that people get to know about this website. lol
  21. https://www.instagram.com/p/COqesvBhl8z/ Here's a one minute video from an instagram page I follow. There is a three sentence supplication in it. Could you find the Arabic text (with diacritical marks) so that I memorize it right? Also if you could tell me its source? Is it a prayer taught by the Holy Prophet (s) or Imams ((عليه السلام))? Thanks a lot.
  22. I know Imam Ali Khamenei personally translated a few volumes of Syed Qotb's Fi Zilal al Quran Tafsir into Persian, so the Iranians and other Persian speaking nations would benefit from it. So, yes, Ikhwan al Muslimin and Islamic Revolution have had good relations with each other. But that changed when some groups among ikhwan went astray because of the bad leadership in them. The ikhwan in Palestine however is on the same right track.
  23. You can look up Metawalis and other Shia Muslim Groups in Palestine and Jordan that coordinate with Hamas and Islamic Jihad. There was also Sabireen Movement which consist of both sunni and shia muslims but they seperated their ways with Ikhwanis when Sabireen refused to back down or cease their attacks against Israel, when the Gulf States wanted normalization with Israel.
  24. Arbaeen in Kabul https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2021/09/27/667404/Hundreds-of-Imam-Hussain-lovers-rally-in-Kabul-on-occasion-of-Arbaeen
  25. Salam. I was wondering if there are any non-muslims that met and embraced shia islam while they were in jail. I want to know their stories. Thanks.
