  1. (bismillah) (salam) Dear Brothers, I have followed this topic since long before. There was an old link to this I cannot locate. If the Administerators kindly find it and advise, I will be very much obliged. http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=49989841= or http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=499898hl= Another link towards fatwas of Ayatollah Sistani and Khamenei is as follows: http://ezsoftech.com/mazloom/zanjeer.asp Hopefully, things will be more clear in view of these two links. vas Salam Ali
  2. The deniers of fazilat of Ahlulbayt can do their worst, Imam Husain's (a.s.) sacrifice was not in vain, the more they try to suppress the facts, the more they will become open and will guide others. The enemies of the Ahlulbayt will have to bit the dust in the end.
  3. These are not sunnis, they are nasebis, salafis/wahabis, no sunni would burn books bearing the name of Allah or verses of the Holy Quran. Only the so called salafis are capable of this despicable sacrilege. They have created a special place for themselves in Hellfire. These so called Jihadists are actually fighting in the cause of Satan.
  4. (bismillah) (salam) There are many categories of ahadith, about 8 eight of them; I heard this below the mimbar of Agha Modarresi, an Iranian Moulana, and he further emphasised that not all of these ahadith are meant to be narrated as they belong in different categories, which he mentioned, I do not remember them. Secondly, one has to know the context and the situation of the time when these ahadith came into being. Only those who are scholars can throw light on these ahadiths. Va :Menallah towfiq, Ali
  5. I have married a non-Muslim, a Hindu to be exact, but she agreed to convert and accept Islam before marrying, of course she knew me and my nature 3-4 months before I proposed marriage, by then, we were sure we had similar interests and views;and now after all these years she is a staunch Muslim. We have been blessed by a good son-in-law who sent us to Haj and Ziayarat. We had our very difficult times in the beginning because of our society, but slowly, and surely things worked out, and we are still together after all these years. It depends from person to person, no two cases are the same. So best of luck, but before you propose, make her aware of Islam and its rules and see if she accepts them. Then there will be hardly any chance for problems later on. Take it slowly, and do not make it sound complicated and difficult, which it is not, but may seem to non-Muslims. Inshallah, I hope both of you will be blessed with happiness and she will join you in the fold of Quran and Ahlulbayt. Va Mehallah Towfiq, ali
  6. (bismillah) (salam) Dear Manuel, This is a rather tragic story you have told, but every person finds his/her mate, we cannot do much to help her here. She has been changing her mind too often for her own good, and now she can only help herself. Neither you nor anyone else can do anything for her. Leave her to her own devices, and move on. I am telling you this, because I have come across similar stories, and the best thing is to leave them alone and let them do as they please. We have a limited scope to help people, and cannot do much beyond this. You can of course pray for her. Thanks and Best Regards, Ali
  7. (bismillah) (salam) Surat Al-Ĥujurāt (The Rooms) - ÓæÑÉ ÇáÍÌÑÇÊ This is a portion of the entire surah. View more context, or the entire surah. 49:13 to top Sahih International O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted. Yusuf Ali O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). Shakir O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware. Ahadith in this respect: Imam Jafar said; “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever practices racial discrimination or it is practiced for him has removed the collar of belief from his neck.’” Al-Kafi, Book of Belief and Disbelief H 2542, CH 119, h 2 “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever has racist feelings in his heart of the size of mustard seed, on the Day of Judgment Allah will raise him with the Arabs of the time of Jahiliyah (dark age).’” Al-Kafi, Book of Belief and Disbelief H 2543, CH 119, h 3 “On the Day of Judgment Allah will join those who practice racial discrimination with a race in fire.” Al-Kafi, Book of Belief and Disbelief H 2544, CH 119, h 4 “The angels thought that Satan was one of them. In the knowledge of Allah he was not one of them. He (Satan) let out that which was in his soul with racist feelings and anger saying,‘You have created me from fire and You created him from clay.’” Al-Kafi, Book of Belief and Disbelief H 2546, CH 119, h 6 “Once, Ali ibn al-Husayn, was asked about racist feelings. He said, ‘The racist feeling that is a sin is the one that makes a person call the evil doers of his own people better than the virtuous individuals of the other people. A man’s loving his own people is not racism but it is a sin to help one’s own people to commit injustice.” Al-Kafi, Book of Belief and Disbelief H 2547, CH 119, h 7 Now, whoever wants to say sayed and non-sayed marriage is not allowed or haram (there are people who think this way, from India and Pakistan) One has gone to the extent of calling all the sayed women and non sayed men thus married as haram kaar, and their children illegitimate! Meaning all the Mirza born are illegitimate!! Can you imagine the extent of ignorance and racism in our community? These people are there on facebook. From what we know, the mother of Imam Zamana (ajjallaho frajahoshariff) Janab Narjes Khatoon was a Roman princess, and the mother of Imam Zainulabedin (as) Janab Shahrbanu was the daughter of Persian King Yazdgerd. However, anyone can confirm this with the Maraje, and Mujtaheds.
  8. (bismillah) (salam) Please note the battle of Khyber, where the Holy Prophet (pbuh) called Imam Ali (as) who was left in Medina with pain in his eyes, he was sick; still he called for him and Imam Ali (as) came and took the banner to victory for Islam. Have you heard of Nade Aliyan Mazharal Ajaayeb (Call Ali, the Manifestor of Wonders)? We call Imam Ali (as) , and he helps/saves us at times of peril. He is the Authority of Allah (Moula, Valiullah). Maybe all this is also bidah for you. Hope you consult any learned Ayatollah, and stop wasting your and others time debating on such issues here. Va Menallah Towfiq, Ali
  9. (bismillah) (salam) This thing has been discussed umpteen times. There was this gent whom we asked, he said, they had asked an Ayatollah (if I remember correctly) in 1937, I forget the name of this Ayatollah; he replied, " I am afraid of Bibi Fatema Zahra (salam ullah alieha) to make any negative comments about this (zanjeerzani) type of azadari." Before you make any condemnation by saying bidah or anything else, remember, even an Ayatollah with knowledge of Jurisprudence hesitates to pass any fatwa regarding this, keeping in mind the grief of the Holy Mother of the Holy Imam (a.s.) Va Menallah Towfiq Ali
  10. (bismillah) (salam) First thing, for each wife you marry, you will get 70 Houris, provided you go to paradise, secondly, if your wife is also a momenah, she will be more beautiful than all the other houris, if she is not a momenah, god forbid, Allah gives the chance of intercession even to a Momin Husband to save his wife from the fires of Hell. You can have her along with the Houris. Everything you find in Paradise, is according to Allah's Wish, and everyone will be contented with his lot. If the Wife is a Momenah, and has more than one husband, then she will choose the one who is the most pious among them for her husband in Paradise. So don't bother your head over this, you will be happy with your wife as well as the houries. Pleasant dreams. va menallah towfiq, ali
  11. What is your age? if you feel you are mature enough to look after your wife and kids, go ahead; don't plan too far in the future, you better take each step at a time. If you want your parents to look for you, okay. If you already have somebody in mind, then better speak to her and find out what she thinks. Always remember, in the beginning, it is going to be tough, because you are stepping in uncharted territory, and both of you have to make adjustments accordingly. You may well have to learn by trail and error. But after a few months, things will be okay. Pray to Allah to guide you to the right person. Inshallah. Best of Luck
  12. Hell no. One thing leads to another, sooner or later.
  13. It all depends on your own personal likes and dislikes, You meet somebody, you establish a rapport, the vibes are strong, a chemistry works, then you slowly or suddenly feel he/she is the one for you. When you feel that way, then the past really does not matter much, unless it is of a serious nature; but then out of fairness, you would not like anybody to be saddled with a man or woman who has committed a serious crime, and does not care of the consequences.
  14. (bismillah) (salam) All of you, are neglecting one very important issue other than salaat and soum. Recently, in facebook, a news item about Dargah Hazrat Abbas Tragedy came into the picture, shots were fired, the gent who fired the shots was caught on the camera. The two other momins were hospitalised; their photo also appeared in facebook Latest news on facebook: graves "reserved before hand" being sold on the black market in Lucknow. A lot of people involved. There is similar trade going on like property investments. The Lucknowis have started "grave investment scheme" booking graves for thousands of rupees to be resold in the future at a nice profit. Rs 75000 mentioned as an example of the "going rate". The Shia Jama Masjid recently renovated/reconstructed at Mumbra Station; its hall above was being used for marriage parties, song and dance was also going on, to which the Imam of the Mosque objected, there is now an issue regarding this between the Trustees and the public. The news regarding this appeared in Mumbra Darpan Samachar a weekly tabloid published from Mumbra, a few weeks ago. There are issues going on between the Hindustani Shias (they prefer to call themselves 'Seyyeds' though quite a few of them don't know the meaning of 'Shajarah') and the Khoja Shias in Bombay and its suburbs. The issue? The Seyyeds feel they are getting a raw deal, they feel the Khoja Shias are not making proper use of the Sahm - e - Saadat according to them. The Khoja Shias who have arranged buildings and accomodations for them free of cost, are blaming them for not paying the rent, or maintenance charges, though they were given free accomodation. Then there is this Irani Sayyed guy who is not paying the rent on the Iranian Anjoman Trust property where he is staying, saying that as he is a Sayyed, then the Iranian Husainiya property belongs to his ancestors, therefore no question of paying rent. Imambara Namazi in Bombay was suffering from sheer neglect, many times there were fires in the Imambara which was an old wooden structure. Our Hindustani Shias had encroached on the Imambara, and were staying there without any care in the world. The Imambara belonged to the Trust of Late Mohammed Husain Shirazi (Namazi) who had also built the Iranian Mosque in Bombay which is over a 100 years old. Finally, Agha Moosavi and others from the Hindustani Shias came forward, took over the Imambara, spent a lot of money to re-construct it all over again. Now it has been rebuilt in a very systematic way, bigger and better than what it used to be;and has been renamed Imambara Zainabia with a proper management; oh yes, they drove away all those who were staying there illegally, even by giving them certain amount of money which they did not deserve. There are a lot of cases going on with the Charity Commissioner's Office, who is responsible for the Waqf Property, and Trusts. People have sold trust land, built buildings on it, etc. Seems we Shias also have a lot of luminaries who would decorate the Rogues Gallery in Police Stations in a big way. OUR MOST PRESSING ISSUE IS TO WEED OUT CORRUPTION IN OUR OWN RANKS, THEN COMES NAMAAZ, ROZA, ETC. Hope all of you get the message, and start working towards weeding out these vermin who are gnawing away at the foundations of our Sect and Community, irrespective of them being Seyyed, Irani, Hindustani, Khoja, or whatever group they call themselves. Ali
  15. (bismillah) (salam) Very bleak prospect for Shias in Pakistan. So long as the Wahabi Nasibi rulers of Saudi Arabia are stirring up the pot, and the US doing its own thing, things will never improve. The Wahabis don't understand the meaning of living in peace, they are like the Khwarjites of Nahrawan. Only Allah can save the Shias there. Ali
