And the entire washing machine must be pure before the washing process starts, or it is necessary to wash everything three times in the correct manner in order to purify the washing machine. Therefore, there must be no impure detergent as well left in the washing machine before the qalil water is used, if it is possible to use it according to the scholars.
Q 291: Do the clothes washed in a fully automatic domestic washing machine become pure or not? The mode of functioning of this machine is as follows: Initially when the clothes are washed in it with detergent, some water and foam of the detergent spreads on the glass door of the machine and the rubber surrounding it. After this, the used water is drawn while the foam of the detergent remains on the glass door and the rubber surrounding it. And, at later stages, the machine washes the clothes thrice with qalīl water and then the used water is driven out. Please explain whether the clothes washed in this manner are pure or not?
A: As far as purifying clothes in a washing machine is concerned, if, after removal of the inherently najis material, the clothes are washed once with water connected to kurr, they are purified. The same ruling applies if you use qalīl water provided that the inner part of machine is pure before putting clothes inside the machine, clothes are washed twice with qalīl water and the used water is drained to the normal extent after each washing.

Ruling 160. If the exterior of rice, meat, and suchlike becomes impure, in the event that it is placed in a pure bowl or something similar, and water is poured over it once and emptied, it becomes pure. If it is placed in an impure utensil, this procedure must be carried out three times for the utensil to become pure. And if a person wants to place a cloth or something similar that needs to be squeezed in a utensil and to wash it with water, he must squeeze the object each time water is poured over it and tilt the utensil so that the remaining water that has gathered pours out.

Doubts that are unreasonable according to the common view such that a normal person would not take it into consideration have to be ignored.

Doubts that are reasonable according to the common view can be ignored in a number of cases, such as a reasonable doubt whether a pure object became impure can be ignored (the pure object does not become impure).

In other cases the doubt must be considered. For example, if right after performing a sajdah in the salah a person has a reasonable doubt whether or not he performed 1 or 2 sajdahs, then he must perform another sajdah according to Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani. Another example is when purifying impure objects, if a person has a reasonable doubt that he has not purified the object, then he must consider the object as remaining impure until he washes it until it becomes purified for sure.
  6. My Prayers
Muhammad A-H got a reaction from Ashvazdanghe in Washing Machine
I am asking because Al-Sayyid Khamenei (as well as majority of the scholars) says submerging things into qalil water is not sufficient:
    As-Salamu Alaykum,
Can a person purify an impure object by submerging it in qalil water and then separating the used water after taking the object out of the water? Salamun `alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

That is impossible and the water gets najis as well. For purifying some object with qalil water the water should be poured on it.

With prayers for your success This is a question I sent to leader.ir.
So I was wondering what is his opinion about washing things with gathered qalil water in a container that already has the najis things in it. If you do not know that’s fine, I can send a question to leader.ir and wait for the response.
  7. My Prayers

They float above the water, so it is not going under the water. And yes I used to have OCD but it is significantly reduced after learning about the rulings on wiswas.
  8. Disagree
Muhammad A-H got a reaction from TryHard in Washing Machine
I’ve seen that the clothes float above the water (at least in my washing machine) and, like I said, this is common sense. And I am not taking it hard as washing the clothes is not difficult for me. All I am saying is that it is necessary to be sure that the clothes are completely washed and making assumptions is not sufficient. If the qalil water that is not mixed with detergent can purify them according to the scholars then yes a person would be sure that the qalil water reaches all the najis areas because the washing machine makes the qalil water reach everything.
Do you happen to know whether or not Al-Sayyid Khamenei says that the qalil water can purify the najis clothes through immersion in the washing machine? The answer that you posted is only talking about water connected to pipe water (kurr water) and I would like to know if according to him qalil water is also sufficient.

It says “water, which is connected to pipe water”. That is kurr water. The response says the water needs to be drawn out because according to Al-Sayyid Khamenei it is necessary to wring clothes washed with kurr water upon obligatory precaution.
Q 70: When purifying najis clothes in kurr/running water, is it necessary to wring them out; or after removing inherently najis substance, is permeation enough?
A: As per caution, they should be wrung out or shaken.

Salam there is no difference between floating clothes above water & denser clothes which all types of clothes will become pure inside washing machine according to  below rulling from grand Ayatoolah Sistani even you wash your clothes in public laundry machines which Qalil water purifies Najis clothes by twice washing.

I forgot to mention that the clothes must also not have something that cannot be purified as well, like impure liquids that do not dissolve in the kurr water, and that a person must be sure that the kurr water reaches the impure areas of the clothing before the kurr water stops flowing (unless qalil water can purify the clothes through immersion which idk if it can) to prevent the clothes from making other things impure. This can be done by placing the najis clothes underneath the pure clothes in the first rinse cycle to prevent them from floating above the water in the case of top load washing machines.
If urine touched the clothing they must be washed twice upon obligatory precaution according to Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani, which means that according to him it is necessary to either follow the precaution or refer to the fatwa of the next most qualified marja’.

If a person is not sure whether or not a najis thing has become pure it remains impure.
If a person is certain that the clothes have become pure and it is not an assumption then it becomes pure. Again, I never denied this.
The ruling of utensils applies to everything that can be called a utensil. Even barrels fall under this category as stated in the mutahhirat section in the books of foqh of Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani and other scholars.
Ruling 150. If a large container like a cauldron or barrel becomes impure, in the event that it is filled and emptied three times, it becomes pure. The same applies if water is poured into it from above three times in a manner that it reaches all its sides and each time the water that collects at the bottom is emptied out; and the recommended precaution is that on the second and third time, the container that is used to empty out the water should be washed with water.

I have seen and I know which areas the qalil water reaches and which areas the kurr water reaches. I know that the qalil water turns around the washing machine in such a way it reaches areas higher than the kurr water. So thus, if the qalil water is impure I would be certain that areas above the kurr water would become impure. This is the case for my washing machine. If others are different then okay. I thought all washing machines work in the same way.
I have read the rulings on waswas and I know them very well.
  13. Completely Agree
Muhammad A-H got a reaction from ummulbaneen in Washing Machine
Okay, but it is still necessary to be sure that they remain under the water and it is not permissible to make assumptions.

If a person becomes sure that the intrinsic impurity is removed and that the kurr water (which is not mixed with detergent) reaches all the impure areas without changing colour, taste or smell (i.e., through pressing the clothes down under the water while the kurr water is still being poured into the washing machine) then the clothes become pure. Otherwise, they do not. Perhaps the qalil water can make the clothes pure but I am not sure.
Also, if the intrinsic impurity was not removed before the clothes were put into the washing machine, and a person is not sure whether or not it got removed and dissolved while the washing machine was filling with kurr water, then the intrinsic impurity would make the qalil water or mudaf water impure (first mutanajjis) and whatever this impure water touches also becomes impure (second mutanajjis according to Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani or first mutanajjis according to Al-Sayyid Khamenei).
The impure water touches areas of the washing machine which the kurr water does not normally reach. Hence, it is necessary to also wash those impure areas of the washing machine with the kurr water to prevent those areas from making the clothes impure.

Yes this is sufficient but you need to wash the forearms from top to bottom, so after washing the part that has the blood it is necessary to wash the areas of the forearm below it as well afterwards so that according to the common view you have washed the forearm from top to bottom.

Also, if the blood becomes a scab and a person is sure that there is no blood remaining that is unlike a scab, then it is pure and a person must wash over it in wudu'.
If wetness touches the impure blood and spreads to areas which the blood is not on, then a person cannot pray until he has purified those areas if he is able to.

According to almost all the scholars, if urine touches a part of the body or clothing, it must be washed twice with qalil water. As for kurr water, according to Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani, the same applies upon obligatory precaution which means that you must either follow the precaution or the fatwa of the next most qualified marja'.
As for things other than the body or clothing, many scholars, and I assume most of the scholars, say that they must also be washed twice with qalil water if urine touched them. According to Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani however, one time is sufficient.

    Wa Alaykum Al-Salam,
According to the majority of scholars including Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani, Al-Sayyid Khamenei, Sheikh Wahid Khurasani, etc. a girl becomes balighah at 9 lunar years old unless she has one of the signs of puberty beforehand, such as menstrual cycles (the signs of puberty are mentioned in the books of fiqh).
According to a small number of scholars such as Al-Sayyid Fadhlallah and Sheikh Saanei, a girl becomes balighah at 13 lunar years unless she has the signs of puberty beforehand.

    Wa Alaykum Al-Salam,
In sequential ghusl (al-ghusl al-tartibi), according to Al-Sayyid Al-Sistani, Al-Sayyid Khamenei and all the scholars I have checked, they say the continuity (muwalat) is not a condition of ghusl unlike wudu'.
So you can wash the head and neck then after an hour wash the right side of the body then after an hour wash the left side of the body and the ghusl will be valid if it is sequential ghusl.
You can also wash part of the head then after a while wash another part of the head and continue to wash the necessary parts of the body with significant gaps of time between each part being washed and the ghusl will be valid if it is sequential ghusl.
Ruling 379. All the conditions that were mentioned for wuḍūʾ to be valid – such as the water being pure and not being usurped – are also conditions for ghusl to be valid. However, in ghusl, it is not necessary for the body to be washed from top to bottom. Furthermore, in sequential ghusl, it is not necessary for the body to be washed immediately after washing the head and neck; therefore, there is no problem if after one has washed his head and neck he waits and after some time he washes his body. In fact, it is not necessary for the entire head and neck to be washed in one go; therefore, it is permitted, for example, for one to wash his head and after a while for him to wash his neck. Furthermore, if someone who cannot control the discharge of urine or faeces does not discharge urine or faeces for the length of time that it takes him to perform ghusl and prayers, he must immediately perform ghusl and then he must immediately perform prayers.
