  1. Try to involve with them a bit more in the halal conversations, laugh and joke with them and be nice. But when they shift to the forbidden like backbiting, making fun etc, keep silent and keep your eyes down and avoid eye contact. In sha Allah, they will start to get an idea that that isnt a topic of your interest or if they think youre religiously inclined, they will realise that its bad and maybe that can be a sort of dawah for them. But do make sure that you are putting in extra efforts for them in the halal things they do just so that that makes up for any negative feelings. They will eventually start to keep it clean with you and you wont have to worry about all this as much.
  2. Imam Ja’far Al Sadiq ((عليه السلام)) said: “If anyone from our Shia and devotees does not have the book of Sulaym ibn Qays al Hilali, then he does not have any of our things, and he does not know any of our matters. This is the first book of Shia and is one of the secrets of Ale-Muhammad ((عليه السلام))”
  3. @SIAR14 wa alaykumussalam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh, it is Mawla Ali ((عليه السلام)). It is in Kitab as-Sulaym the famous book written by the Imams ((عليه السلام)) companion and Tabi'ee ((رضي الله عنه)).
  4. Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh, I am trying to understand why the spiritual state of my heart changes, why it starts to feel guilty and restless and even corrupt as if it is within me and I feel like crying and repenting to Allah and save me from destruction when I come across the following: a. When I see an act of evil and shamelessness or when it is uncovered before me while I was unaware before b. When I even hear or come to know all the above from someone I dont consider myself too high of a spiritual person although I am trying to get there, but this has always been my case even before Allah gave me the tawfeeq to follow His beautiful religion. Does anybody understand how that works and what kind of effect that is esp when someone themself isnt too much of an aabid or too high up there? There has to be something that's lacking in my approach in dealing with circumstances because think about it, the most innocent of people like the prophets and masoomeen ((عليه السلام)) had all kinds of evil happening to and around them, I cannot imagine them feeling the same or perhaps I need to grab my feelings from a different perspective. Sometimes it becomes so overwhelming that it hinders important things in my life. I dont think it is a case of hyper- sensitivity either.
  5. Btw, any source of information on this SHEIN controversy? I have never heard anything like that about shein. Please link it here if you can
  6. Wa alaykumussalam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh, You are dealing with the retailer and paying them money in exchange for their goods. It isnt always possible to know the process behind every thing manufactured, controversies are still controversies until they are well established with evidence. There are similar rulings regarding other halal haram issues in islam where you assume that much which you can afford to know- like going to a restaurant and ordering halal food assuming its halal because of the certificate (which can also be unauthentic), accepting a gift from someone assuming the khums had been paid on it etc. Because the sin is on the one who did the impermissible and it doesnt transfer onto the one who did not get involved in that process. On another note, shein is a great website to shop from, it has quite a variety of decent clothes at affordable prices. Sadly its banned where I live because its Chinese.
  7. JazakAllaahu khayra everyone for your suggestions. Those websites offer courses most of which have a handsome fee too. As for the dawah to zaydi islam, I've been there. I follow the twelver version alhamdu lillah and there is no doubt left in my heart about it. @Brother Arshad I read from al-islam.org too, I search for all my fatawa there too. Is there a good book of Islamic Jurisprudence you can recommend? Speaking of al-Mizan, as far as i know, it hasn't been fully translated into English yet. Ive been searching for the pdfs but many volumes are yet to be completed. If you come across it anytime, please notify and share the link.
  8. Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh, I am a shia revert from sunnism, Alhamdu lillah. It has been a few months now and ive been trying to look for some good fiqh courses online to help me with my basics first atleast. Watching a lecture here and there isnt satisfying enough. Ive tried joing the prehawza classes on telegram but i was too late to register for them. Does anybody know of a good islamic course on shia islam that i can take up, preferably free of cost? There are quite a lot of interesting books to read that ive come across but then again, i need a proper course of study as i dont think im fit to study on my own and also because i want a systematic way of learning. I need help as i feel my knowledge has stagnated terribly and im not moving forward due to lack of proper guidance.
  9. It is not that dajjal will HAVE these powers, rather, he will only decieve people somehow leading them to think that he is powerful and able. The example you gave about him controlling the weather and vegetation etc, there is a lot more he is and will control (including your mind). All this is just deception, and those who arent knowledgabe will credit him and those with knowledge will forget to think or use their minds- thats what dajjal is all about (dajl= deception). Our perception is under his reign already unless Allah wills. The world is vast and many of its resources are still hidden far from our discovery. Don't forget your mind will only go as far as you take it.
  10. Im new to this forum so i dont know how i can share somebody's post here. You can check out @Zaydi Shiapard post on this.
  11. Finally someone with the same analogy! Back when ISIS was everywhere, I remember reading somebody talk the same about Baghdadi. I was aware of just a single hadith they quoted and it was enough for me to look at him with a doubtful eye, yet here you have mentioned so many accurate narrations regarding dajjal and they are spot on! I wish we could spread this to more people. "If you obey most of those on earth, they will lead you astray from the path of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie."
