  1. Sahih International So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me. This is clear, whether you give Allah's Noor, and the concentration of it in Someone's heart a name or not, anthropomorphising Allah's noor, Allah has made promises to us, and Imams speak to people according to their intelligence, and it is possible some people are inheriting the comprehension, and the tribal and primitive understandings of some of the Questioners of the Imam's, not neccacarily the most vivid and articulate, abstract, reality of their teachings. Sahih International Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things. وَلَمَّا جَآءَ مُوۡسٰى لِمِيۡقَاتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهٗ رَبُّهٗ ۙ قَالَ رَبِّ اَرِنِىۡۤ اَنۡظُرۡ اِلَيۡكَ ؕ قَالَ لَنۡ تَرٰٮنِىۡ وَلٰـكِنِ انْظُرۡ اِلَى الۡجَـبَلِ فَاِنِ اسۡتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهٗ فَسَوۡفَ تَرٰٮنِىۡ ۚ فَلَمَّا تَجَلّٰى رَبُّهٗ لِلۡجَبَلِ جَعَلَهٗ دَكًّا وَّخَرَّ مُوۡسٰى صَعِقًا ۚ فَلَمَّاۤ اَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبۡحٰنَكَ تُبۡتُ اِلَيۡكَ وَاَنَا اَوَّلُ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏ (7:143) And when Moses came at Our appointment, and his Lord spoke to him, he said: 'O my Lord! Reveal Yourself to me, that I may look upon You!' He replied: 'Never can you see Me. However, behold this mount; if it remains firm in its place, only then you will be able to see Me.' And as soon as his Lord unveiled His glory to the mount, He crushed it into fine dust, and Moses fell down in a swoon. And when he recovered, he said: 'Glory be to You! To You I turn in repentance, and I am the foremost among those who believe.' 54:50 Sahih International And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye
  2. Salam Alaykum Bro, I see your heated, I emphasise with you. I'm not someone who posts often here, but I really relate to what you saying. What I was trying to communicate, is the history of Christianity and Judaism, the Bible, etc, is well enough documented that one can study it's history, specifically around the time Jesus (عليه السلام) was born, and the events after, but also, the New Testament, from a secular perspective, its evolution, and how the gospels culminated into what is in the hands of most Christians today, and compare with what the Quran relates to us, of Ghulu, etc, and the Jew's hatred to some Prophets to the extent they killed them, and yet many diligently held on to the scripture nonetheless, etc. Briefly to speak on the New Testament, it is well established among scholars, that many scribes took a lot of creative liberty in their copying of Scriptures, and a lot of clear exaggeration takes place from one rendering of a text t o another (back then, people copied things by hand) and you can tell, people do irrational and incorrect things out of "love", and they write things in their words, and pass it on saying this is from God, as was the case with some of the Gentiles, who converted to Christianity. Even going further back, people sincerely loved and worshipped spirits, angels, etc, and they worshipped them quite strongly and devoutly, according to historical sources. And the Quran affirms, the Arabs are the strongest in hypocrisy and disbelief (9:97) and it's clear, 11 Imams were evidently oppressed and killed in quick succession after Rasool Allah's time Sal Allahu alayhi wa alihi, and by the "Muslims", and the Jews killed some of their prophets. Likewise, I imagine some of the literature attributed to the Imams, could have had some individuals, overtaken by their emotions, and with a lack of faith, and lack of fear of Allah, could have added statements, poeticized, and dramatized some traditions, straight out fabricating some, and attributing it to the Imams, absolutely I believe this could occur, and am inclined to believe it did why wouldn't I, with what i know of what some self proclaimed followers of Jesus, lovers of Jesus, did to texts attributed to, and depicting him? therefore, I think the Quran is an adequate criterion to use in judgement of hadith, and what is necessary, etc. but what is really eye opening, is to inform yourself about the peer reviewed literature on the history of Christianity, it really can open ones eyes to the realities of what is possible, that people can lie on Allah's prophet and Awliyah. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I am inclined to believe that we have, and are, repeating history. "Nasb" is an inward state, in hadith literature, seemingly it is in reference to one's feelings towards the Imams, to my understanding, Allah knows peoples hearts, but innovating in God's religion and shirk can be shown outwardly, and no doubt has an effect spiritually, and mentally, it creates a divided mind. "Do not mix truth with falsehood " I really feel that following up narrations from the Ahlul bayt in a Majalis, with a chest beating ceremony is absolutely doing that, and then indicating to outsiders this is part of the religion. You allow one innovation in the "Hussainiyah", you open the doors for another, that seems reasonable right? and so it is the case, you have tatbir, there are things i don't want to narrate of personal experiences, but even one can find online, transmitted by people with such bad akhlaq, that i avoid their channel like the plague, nonetheless, showing clips of the worst heresies, and ghuluw, and shirk, going on in some "hussainiyahs", we are not only outdoing the Christians, we have outdone them, quite clearly. Such that, I cringe at the thought of going back to a hussainiyah with children, should Allah grant me insha Allah, It's way worse than anything I know of what Catholics do, I think the eating of Jesus's flesh and drinking his blood, in the form of wine and bread, is actually a little less cringey and cult-like. and the orthodox church is at least a step up from that, they actually send Salaams To Jesus, and his Mother, (عليه السلام), they use their time productively to some extent at least. People have conflated Spirit with emotion, on this end, and honestly, a lot of "Sunnis" probably don't know enough about Imam's to have "Nasb" for them, and the chest beating, and the excessive dwelling on politics and history, is not something the imams endorsed, at the very least not in public, and ritualised like the Jumua prayer. even if you take all the hadith attributed to Imams as sahih, people have added things like chest beating and made them the norm ,and thus created a new religion. At the very least the chest beatings are a waste of time. theres no benefit, at least spend the 1-2+ hours sending salawat, in a dhikr congregation, send Salams on Imam Hussain,, etc, why must we engage in the most doubtful and useless endeavours, why do we not gravitate to that which there is not doubt. People don't feel confident about Dua tawasul, regardless if it's sahih or not, why dont you substitute it for Ziyarat Ashura, minus the 100 Curses (not that it is useless for your faith, but it is potentially, according to some, an addition from one who is not masoom and it surely is causing problems in Pakistan and the like) It's like asking for punishment from God
  3. Salam Alaykum brother/sister I think maybe we should reflect on the meaning of wilayah, if we know exactly the reality of it, how it can manifest, etc. Also, remember the hadith literature, the Ahlul Bayt, indicate to us that they (The Ahlul Bayt) speak to people according to their intelligence and/or their comprehension, depending on how you understand the translations. Mashallah, as a people, we have grown in perspective and understanding from many of those in the times of the first 11 Imams. We see, that their are pious people of different cultures, from backgrounds that, arguably, were earlier manifestations of the divine Islam, that manifest the akhlaq of Rasool Allah SAWA better than many self proclaimed muslims, and acknowledge divine unseen forces, the concepts of "Iman" and "Malaika" and "Nabi" in different languages and terminologies. In fact, the Quran indicates there is not a thing that does not make tasbeeh of Allah, and even the Moon and Sun prostrate to Allah, though they do not have mouths we perceive by which they speak. Allah Noor Al samawati wal arth, connection to Allah transcends verbal rhetoric and debating, philosophies and politics. Now that considered, also consider, are there not ahadith that indicate Prophets from before had "wilayah" as well? And that there are 124,000 prophets. Who am I, or some priest/theologian, to say definitively, that someone who is emulating one of those 124,000 prophets, one who has wilayah, and that person has wilayah of such a prophet, that they are connected to the river of wilayah, though we do not understand that language, or terminology. Is it not the case that the best of us with God are the most God-conscious? when will we begin to fear Allah enough, and be humble enough, to restrain our tongues from saying what we do not know definitively. It is ok to say," I don't know", " God know's best",etc especially when it comes to issues of theology, upon which new churches are built and established. وأصحاب الكلام والخصومات ومجالستهم فإنهم تركوا ما امروا بعلمه، وتكلفوا ما لم يؤمروا بعلمه حتى تكلفوا علم السماء. And from the book Al Mazkour, from Aasim Al Hanaat, from Abu Ubeyda al Haza’a who said, ‘Abu Ja’farasws said to me and I was in his (asws) presence: ‘Beware of the people of Al-Kalaam (theologians) and the debates, and their gatherings, for they neglected what they had been instructed of its knowledge, and they encumbered themselves with learning what they had not been instructed with its knowledge, to the extent that they encumbered themselves with the knowledge of the sky. 48 ومن الكتاب المذكور، عن جميل قال: سمعت أبا عبد الله عليه السلام يقول: متكلموا هذه العصابة من شرار من هم - منهم. ‘I heard Abu Abdullahasws saying: ‘Theologians of this gang are from the evils ones, ones who are from them’’.515 49 كنز الكراجكى: قال أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام: إياكم والجدال فإنه يورث الشك في دين الله. - (The book) Kunz of Al Karajaky – ‘Amir Al-Momineenasws said: ‘Beware of the arguing, for it inherits the doubt in the Religion of Allahazwj’’.516 50 منية المريد: قال النبي صلى الله عليه واله: ذروا المراء فإنه لا تفهم حكمته ولا تؤمن فتنته. - (The book) Maniyat Al Mureed – ‘The Prophetsaww said: ‘Leave the bitter disputes for you cannot understand the wisdom of it, nor can you be safe from its Fitna (strife)’’.517 51 وقال صلى الله عليه واله: من ترك المراء وهو محق بني له بيت في أعلى الجنة، ومن ترك المراء وهو مبطل يبنى له بيت في - ربض الجنة. And hesaww said: ‘One who neglects the bitter disputes and he is rightful, a house would be built for him in the upper part of the Paradise; and one who neglects the bitter disputes and he was false, a house would be built for him in the lower part of the Paradise’’.518 52 وقال صلى الله عليه واله: ما ضل قوم إلا أوثقوا الجدل. - And hesaww said: ‘A people did not stray except they strengthened the arguing (debating)’’.519 53 وقال صلى الله عليه واله: لا يستكمل عبد حقيقة الإيمان حتى يدع المراء وإن كان محقا. - And hesaww said: ‘A servant will not perfect the realities of the Eman until he leaves the bitter disputes and even when he was rightful’’.520 -Bihar Al Anwar Also, I remember coming across hadith, not on hand, wherein the prophet indicated his dislike for people to use his religion as a livelihood, not at hand right now, meaning the source, i digress. from my perspective, it seems very unreasonable to think, given even the little bit of evidence provided above, and a comprehensive reading of the Quran, that God expels people from Islam, or prohibits the Iman, for not subscribing to elaborate, abstract philosophies, Allah is too Merciful.
  4. Salam Alaykum brother, I think one may benefit religiously, by trying to get a comprehensive view point of religion, and even the history of The Christians and the Jews, and maybe even Hinduism and the points of which led them to make different madhabs and schools of thought. Also, refer to the ahadith attributed to ahlul bayt about the theologians. Not to say that just because someone is a Believer, that everything the say should have been said, or every conjecture, or philosophy is 100% right, and likewise, for a theologian, or "mujtahid" even if the majority say something, it is correct. Let us not forget that Jesus was a Prophet, as Was Moses, this is affirmed in the Quran. See what people claiming to be their followers have done with their teachings, How the Catholics differ with the Orthodox, with the Protestants, etc. and the Church theologies, and the takfir they make, etc. Why is your church infallible? why are your theologians? Of course, even in our Salah, in tashahud, one might consider we associate ourselves with the ahlul bayt, and the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).a, by sending salawat and salam, even to the believers. The problem in moving the intellectual trajectory, can set the board up for even more deviation after out lifetimes, inshallah. Today, it is pictures, and rituals of the imams, questionable "duas", rituals with absolutely no basis, like Matam. Now we enter the realm of rituals with, according to my knowledge, not a single hadith, fabricated or authentic, legislating it, purely from the opinions and the hawa of the people. and making portraits as well, was clearly forbiddien in the hadith literature, yet there they are in some "Hussainiyas". Does not the Quran say the mosques are for Allah, in the Quran? so why are we calling the places of prayer, other than Masjid of God? This is today, can you imagine, in a couple of hundred years, people could be making Holy communion, drinking wine and bread, to represent the flesh and blood of Hussain, in the "Imambargas"? give it a couple of thousand, potentially less, Allah willing, at this rate, this will look something like The Hindu places of worship. Come to this Mosque to pray to God X, that one is for God Y, etc. you polarize the people enough, already there are some organized groups of self proclaimed followers of Imam Ali that drink wine, I know of such a group I believe that has a significant population in Turkey. Think where this is going long term. LEt us Muslims set some "Hudood" in the places of worship, make them a place Dhikr of Allah, recitation of the Quran, which is Wisdom, and the ummah can unite on this. You want to have a shrine of Imam Ali at home, or Abu Bakr, inshallah you live in a free country, you can do what you want, but Wisdom is from God, and the Quran has clear ayat Muslims can rally behind, God's oneness, his remembrance, Quran, Salat, Fasting. 2:140 Sahih International Or do you say that Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants were Jews or Christians? Say, "Are you more knowing or is Allah ?" And who is more unjust than one who conceals a testimony he has from Allah ? And Allah is not unaware of what you do. 2:141 Sahih International That is a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do. Sahih International 2:142 The foolish among the people will say, "What has turned them away from their qiblah, which they used to face?" Say, "To Allah belongs the east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a straight path." حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ـ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ ـ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ لَتَتْبَعُنَّ سَنَنَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ شِبْرًا شِبْرًا وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ، حَتَّى لَوْ دَخَلُوا جُحْرَ ضَبٍّ تَبِعْتُمُوهُمْ ‏"‏‏.‏ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى قَالَ ‏"‏ فَمَنْ ‏"‏‏.‏ Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You will follow the ways of those nations who were before you, span by span and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch) so much so that even if they entered a hole of a mastigure, you would follow them." We said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! (Do you mean) the Jews and the Christians?" He said, "Whom else?" Sahih al-Bukhari 7320 https://sunnah.com/bukhari:7320
