  1. Can someone help me? According to some brothers a lot of shampoos and sunscreens contain silicones wich might build a layer on the skin that makes Wudu and Ghusl invalid because it prevents water from reaching the skin.Since this layer cannot be seen or felt, I was wondering whether it makes Ghusl and Wudu invalid or not. Especially in the case of sunscreen. There are no silicon-free alternatives that aren’t extremely expensive, at least here where I live.Additionally, these alternatives aren’t nearly as good as the normal ones. Please excuse my bad English.
  2. Salam Thank you very much! May Allah bless you
  3. Dear brothers and sisters, I did not find an answer to my question yet, therefore I’m asking you: Can our dead relatives hear us when we’re on the graveyard and talk to them?I know that, for example, our Prophets and Imams can hear us but what about normal people? Are they able to hear us when we,for example, tell them about our day or what’s going on in our lives?
  4. That’s not true at all.I don’t know where you got that information from.Vaping is significantly less harmful compared to tobacco smoke.Tobacco smoke contains thousands of chemicals and a LOT of them are toxic or carcinogenic. Liquids usually consist of 3-4 ingredients: Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerin, Flavors (and Nicotine).Furthermore, vapes do not burn liquids, but evaporate them. Thus very few pollutants are emitted, provided you use high-quality liquids and not just any liquids. Vapes are around 95% less harmful than cigarettes! This does NOT mean that they’re safe or healthy.Vapes are unhealthy and can be harmful. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/e-cigarettes-around-95-less-harmful-than-tobacco-estimates-landmark-review https://vapingfacts.health.nz/vaping-vs-smoking/ https://vapingfacts.health.nz/the-facts-of-vaping/risks-of-vaping/ I don’t know any scholar who declared vaping haram. There are no proofs to do so.Fatwas who classified tobacco smoking haram, are not applicable on vaping. Using Nicotine in vapes is not Haram, but I recommend you not to do.Nicotine is extremely addictive.
  5. Does anyone know if illegitimate children also receive Iranian citizenship (through their father)? The couple did. Nikkah when the child was one year old.
  6. You should first pray your Qadha Prayers (because they are obligatory on you) and then after finishing them you can pray Nawafil Prayers In sha‘Allah .Although you can do whatever you want, that’s my advice.
  7. I don’t believe this too but wanted to know if someone knows about this. This belief makes no sense to me
  8. I searched for it and found it,but there are also other Ahadith that report the exact opposite and report, that the Imams (عليه السلام) are the Knowledgeable (scholars) and we are their students. This contradicts the other Hadith.
  9. I’ve heard that some Marja' and other people believe that Marja' have a higher rank than some Prophets (عليه السلام).They say that this is based on Ahadith from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). Do you know something about This belief?
  10. No one abandoned them. These are very powerful and strong Duas but I don’t know why you want to deny Tawassul. We need help from the Masumeen so that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) grants us our wishes.I’m not saying Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) does not grant us our wishes when asking him Without the masumeen but the chance to get them granted is higher when they ask for us.The Quran (4:64) tells us that. And this Wahabi Point "They’re dead" is very weak.
  11. Yes,Najaf.org is the office of Sayyid Sistanis representative in London, but they only take Sahme Imam. Sayyid Sistani gave permission to Al-Ayn to receive both parts of Khums, but I don’t know if they accept the currency of your country. But it seems like they do.I personally give both parts of Khums to Al-Ayn.It’s easier to me and I have a good feeling in giving my Khums to orphans.
  12. Well,I think you don’t understand Tawassul at all. First of all,I’d like to say that you said Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) wouldn’t use intermediaries to answer us.That’s false and you proofed it. Second,no one said we have to use intermediaries to reach Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى).It’s totally good to ask Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) without any intermediaries, but the chance to get your dua answered is better with an intermediary,as the Quran says: 4:64 We did not send any Messenger but to be obeyed by the leave of Allah. Had they, after having wronged themselves, come to you and sought forgiveness from Allah, and had the Messenger prayed for their forgiveness, they would certainly have found Allah Most-Relenting, Very-Merciful. No one claims that Tawassul is obligatory. Third,Yes,Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) was near to him,but if this poor man was also near to him,idk that.I can say, that our task in this live literally IS to become near to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى).Also, being near to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is not a condition that must be fulfilled so that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) grants wishes, but the chance to get an answer is higher and Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) will put his mercy on the person who’s near to him (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى).
  13. Our nearness to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) isn’t something Material it’s something immaterial so it takes place in the Immaterial World. Nearness to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is something spiritual and therefore it is possible.Or is Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) next to your jugular vein in your body? No.This nearness is a spiritual nearness and therefore Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) can be near to you but you’re not near to him. I have Ahadith, but they’re in German. That’s not true.He (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) often grants us our wishes trough someone. For example, the poor man in the Mosque did a Dua to Allah to fulfill his need after no one wanted to give charity,so Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) made Imam Ali (عليه السلام) hear the man and then Imam Ali (عليه السلام) gave his ring as Zakat while performing Ruku. Therefore Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) revealed 5:55.So Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) granted his wish by using Imam Ali (عليه السلام).No money fell down from the Sky. By the way,by taking medicine you also use Allahs (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) help and he heals you through this medicine. Or someone who has cancer goes to the doctor. He prays to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) by saying: „Oh Allah,I need you. Please cure me“.At the same time,he goes to the doctor and the doctor cures him. Then the person prays to Allah and thanks him.Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) cured him from his decease, but trough the doctor.According to you, going to the doctor is shirk. Ok,And?Tawassul is nothing other than that.
  14. Imam Ali (عليه السلام) was injured in Kufa but how did he get to his shrine in Najaf then?
  15. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) can be near to us but at the same time we can be far away from him.The Aimmah (عليه السلام) are near to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) but I don’t think you want to claim that we’re the Same and that we‘re also as near to Allah as the Aimmah are.Because this is false. We are in need of intermediaries. Again,Tawassul doesn’t mean to worship someone. This is not about Tawassul. We don’t take protectors beside Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى),we don’t worship anyone but Allah. The polytheists say that their "Gods" bring them nearer to the almighty but Tawassul is still not the same as polytheism.Believing That someone has Independent power, grants wishes, blesses etc. is NOT the same as tawassul. The Polytheists pray to their "Gods",make Duas to them with the belief that they are the ones answering them! And again this is not Tawassul.
  16. Well, even if he hears us when we do Tawassul or send Salawat, this doesn’t mean he’s all-hearing. All-Hearing means to hear everything, even very unimportant things. If someone says he hears Salawat, that’s because Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) makes him hear some things. I don’t know, whether the prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hears or is aware of our Salawats, but even if he hears them, this doesn’t mean that he’s all-hearing.
  17. I don’t agree with this. The Polytheists don’t use them as a medium or a wasilah, they worship them. They believe their "gods" have independent Power from Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and that they could bless them or answer their prayers. And this is NOT Tawassul. Also I think we have a different understanding of “invoking others besides Allah ((سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى))”. This Polytheistic invoking is shirk, but asking the Aimmah (عليه السلام) for Dua cannot be shirk.I also ask my Family members or friends to ask Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) for something (for example I ask them to ask Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) so that he heals me if he wants to).Your point that they’re dead is not strong to me.They might be physically dead, but they’re spiritually alive and they can hear us.And asking for Dua is not invoking them besides Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) because you are asking and worshipping Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) but not directly and this is not something the polytheists do. However, you can believe that we are invoking them besides Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and that this is false or shirk,I just wanted to point out, that this is not the same as polytheism.
  18. No,she’s not. Yazid b. Hayyan reported: We went to him (Zaid b. Arqam) and said to him. You have found goodness (for you had the honour) to live in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and offered prayer behind him, and the rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation of wording that lie said: Behold, for I am leaving amongst you two weighty things, one of which is the Book of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, and that is the rope of Allah. He who holds it fast would be on right guidance and he who abandons it would be in error, and in this (hadith) these words are also found: We said: Who are amongst the members of the household? Aren't the wives (of the Holy Prophet) included amongst the members of his house hold? Thereupon he said: No, by Allah, a woman lives with a man (as his wife) for a certain period; he then divorces her and she goes back to her parents and to her people; the members of his household include his ownself and his kith and kin (who are related to him by blood) and for him the acceptance of Zakat is prohibited. Sahih Muslim 2408d (for better understanding also read 2408a)
  19. I’ve been through the same for more than 3 years. I can Tell you one thing: Not praying won’t ever help you, this is shaytan (la) who wants you to believe this.Your connection with Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) will weaken everytime you miss a prayer and that’s not good. Always remember Allahs (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) words: 2:286 „God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear“ Always trust in Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى)!Make Duas to him ( we have very powerful Duas) and pray to him!Worship him!He will answer you!If you think, that he won’t answer your Dua,you can do Tawassul and then he will answer you,as long as he wants to.But always remember:He (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is the most merciful! My advices are: 1.Visit a doctor. He will help you with Allahs (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) permission. He’s also able to give you medicine. 2.Worship Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and pray to him. 3.Do a lot of Dhikr. 4.Go on Ziyarah and Visit the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) or an Imam (عليه السلام) (if you’re able to). I know it is very difficult.I know. But no one said it will be simple. With Allahs (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) help, you’ll get well soon. May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) help you!
  20. Salam For the admission (Mustafa International University in Qom) you need a high school diploma (higher than intermediate),it’s equal to 11 years of school and you Need to be at least 18 years old,but as far as I know sometimes applicants don’t need that.I’ve heard of some 16-year old Students (but that’s very unusual). Here
  21. My only criteria is getting a fatwa. If the most knowledgeable does not give a fatwa, then I don’t think it is false to follow any other.I don’t think someone can say who’s the second most knowledgeable because for others,he is the most knowledgeable. All of them are very Knowledgeable,I don’t see a Problem to choose a Fatwa.Well,I don‘t see a problem in it,but I wouldn’t do it,as long as Sayyid Sistani doesn’t say it’s ok.
  22. I mean,as long as they can give a fatwa,I don’t see any problem in following any Mujtahid. However,I would prefer to follow one of the most knowledgeable. But I mean only the best of the best reach the rank of Ijtihad and if there are different opinions in some cases, then I don’t think it’s a Problem to follow any Mujtahid ,since the Marja himself is not able to give a clear fatwa. So I think we are allowed to choose wich fatwa we want to follow (as long as our Marja does allow to follow any fatwa). I hope you understand.
  23. Because Ayatullah Sistani does not give a Fatwa, the only thing he does is giving a precaution. There’s nothing wrong with following another Mujtahid for that.He basically does not have enough evidence to give a fatwa,so in some cases I would prefer to follow someone who has given a fatwa and not a precaution.
  24. Seems like it is not necessary to follow the next most learned Mujtahid according to Sayyid Sistani, since he Says "another Mujtahid".Am I right?
