I'm unaware of Yahya being a nickname for the Imam AJF. There are however over 180 Alqaab for him (عليه السلام) that can be found from the following source:

One could argue that corrosive substances or rat poison for example also pose such risks. I'm all for responsible ownership and handling of anything that can be deadly, be it a firearm, a car, medication or bleach.

I think the 'good guys' have the right to owning a deterrent equivalent in strength to that of the 'bad guys' in order to protect themselves and families. This is a general principle that I believe is reasonable especially when one cannot rely on authorities for protection and order.
As for something like mass shootings which seems to be one of the most prominent arguments against gun ownership, I think deranged individuals and criminals will always find ways to act out and they can turn anything into a deadly weapon. As brother @Mahdavist alluded to, we should look at and address the root causes of such crime rather than the tools used to commit them.

Moalfas got a reaction from Haji 2003 in Translation from Arabic please
He's talking about his personal objections to the view around slavery in the 'islamic' context and gives an example of a female captured and taken as a slave from a Christian village, being subjected to all sorts including rape and then her son is demanded to convert to Islam. This is not inline with the high morals that Islam is all about.
He's also pointing out the knee-jerk reactions one could receive by bringing up 'Islamic' literature and 'Ahadeeth' around these and other sexual issues and the accusations one may receive of 'trying to stain the religion'
    He makes some good points.

Brother @zzaveri here’s some feedback on your talk
Whilst I agree on the general theme and trajectory of events described in your talk, there are some issues around your interpretations of the signs of reappearance that are not entirely agreeable such as:
    - The identity of Sufyani: According to the Riwayat of Ahlulbayt as, The Sufyani is an individual not an organisation/system or state.
    - The timing of the Yamani/Khurasani/Sufyani to appear are in the same year/month/day; you seem to have added 1 year plus a month plus a day which I found odd. But then again, you’re entitled to your own interpretation I suppose.
I'm not going to comment on the Covid issue as I don't want to get banned haha
What I did find very interesting was the link you shared about the earth’s magnetic field and the speed at which it was already moving. I’ve previously read several articles explaining the long overdue flip but nothing specifying a timeline. I guess this is something to watch out for.
As for the 5+ hours of my weekend, I’ll invoice you at a later date lol

    Shia viewpoint
    'Nahl' denotes the Infallible Imams
Imam Sadiq ((عليه السلام).) that he said: We are the ‘bees’ on whom Allah sent revelation
What is the value of the honeybees that Allah should send revelation on them? This verse was revealed in our praise and Allah has compared us to the honeybee. We are under the command of Allah and ‘mountains’ refers to our Shias and ‘tree’ refers to the believer ladies.

    Salam,
    If I may interject,
There is more than one view on why/how Imam Ali (عليه السلام) was named Amir of the Bees.
1-     It's narrated that Imam Ali ibn Musa Al Rida (عليه السلام) in the Tafseer of Aya 69 from Surat al Nah’l

Had said: The Prophet saww said: Ali is their Amir” hence he was named Amir of the Bees.

2-     It’s also said that the Prophet saww sent a battalion to the castle of Beni Taghl (Thu’al), but the people of the castle fought them until they ran out of ammo/weapons (I’m assuming catapults) , so they started using bee hives to push the battalion back which worked. Once imam Ali as approached, the bees submitted to him, and hence he was named Amir of the Bees.

3-    It’s also narrated that there was a cave with bees inside and no one could reach but when Imam Ali (عليه السلام) arrived, he went in and came out with plenty of honey so Rasoolullah saww named him 'Amir of the Bees and the Ya’soob'.
