  1. Yes, my in-laws force me( they keep on saying that go and do be'aet every now and then , they hint it in their conversation, they keep on stating the concept whenever they find a chance , I have a serious medical condition, to cure it , my sister-in-law asked me to visit the peer or else I will remain sick and when I disagreed ,they asked my husband to take me to the peer for be'aet/bay'a).
  2. Thanks, jazakallah khair. So, it means that there is no concept of peer / mureed/ murshed in Shi'ism? The person forwarded this concept when I hesitated to do as told: ﺍﺳﻼﻡ ﻣﯿﮟ ﭘﯿﺮﻭ ﻣﺮﺷﺪ ﮐﺎ ﺗﺼﻮﺭ ﺳﻮﺭﮦ ﻓﺎﺗﺤﮧ ﻣﯿﮟ ﺟﻮ ﺩﻋﺎ ﺳﮑﮭﺎﺋﯽ ﮔﺌﯽﮨﮯ: "ﮨﻤﯿﮟ ﺳﯿﺪﮬﺎ ﺭﺳﺘﮧ چلا ، ﺍﻥ ﻟﻮﮔﻮﮞ ﮐﺎﺭﺳﺘﮧ ﺟﻦ ﭘﺮﺗﻮ ﻧﮯ ﺍﻧﻌﺎﻡ ﻓﺮﻣﺎﯾﺎ ﮨﮯ.
  3. A person , few days back, asked me infact forced me to do be'aet بیعت of a renowned Islamic figure. For that , a person has to visit the Peer and do the be'aet as it was done before in Islamic history. The peer will be responsible for one's religious well-being and he will guide one in the wordly matters besides giving one various wazifas for success in everyday matters. I don't know what the peer practices ,either he is Shia or Sunni. As far as , I gathered from the conversation, the peer is a Sunni Muslim while I'm a practicing Shia. I do taqleed , too. I want to ask : Is there any such concept in Shia Islam as doing Be'aet ? What are the requirements for a peer to meet the criteria of being a peer ? What if a Shia Muslim , already practicing the concept of taqleed , does be'aet? What are the pros and cons? Does a practicing Shia Muslim needs to do be'aet? If ,yes, then why? If there is no concept of peer o murshed /be'aet in Shia'ism then how one should refuse such offers , so , the other person does not feel any sort of humiliation or disrespect?
