You can email the nearest hussaniya or mosque, and if it is relatively far, they may mail you a turbah.  It is permissible to perform the sujood on other than torbah such as soil or whatever grows in it other than that which is eaten or worn. For example, a paper tissue should be valid.

they sell them on ebay to I just happen to have some extra free wood

Salam brother, always try to relate to the marja’ (Grand Ayatollah) that you follow on fiqh (jurisprudence) issues. Majority of majari’ (Grand Ayatollahs) ruled tattooing permissible (although some makrooh), as long as they do not include haram (forbidden) and insulting themes. As per obligatory precaution, it’s also better to abstain from tattooing religious themes on yourself, such as portraits of Imams, Quranic verses etc. There shouldn’t be any problems with the tribal patterns, as long as the tattoos themselves do not carry any hidden meaning contradictory to the Islamic teachings, for example tribal tattoos with the intention to “protect” from “magic, evil spirits” and such are obviously haram (forbidden).

salam, I don't follow a specific marja but thank you. your answer was still helpful
