  1. Ok then why do you censure some of my links? Then how am I able to give links or shorter excerpts if people cannot find the original link, original text? If I cannot give my links or share the whole text then it seems that I cannot participate fully
  2. In the answer to question no. 179363, we explained that the words (interpretation of the meaning) “If they (hypocrites), when they had been unjust to themselves, had come to you (Muhammad blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)…” [an-Nisa’ 4:64] were applicable only during the lifetime of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and not after his death. Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This verse encouraged the ummah to come to him if they had been unjust to themselves (or wronged themselves) by committing sin or falling into that which was more s
  3. Quraysh is a tribe from mecca. And the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). belonged to the Haashim clan. So the fact that you didn't know this and me asking for knowledgable Shias is proof that my request has fallen on deaf ears (to some). Also people seem to go off-topic with rather hideous claims about the companions of the Prophet saw. I am not going to discuss them now. But all I want to say is.
  4. You can read why on islamqa.info it is a fatwa website. Also try www.************* I am Sunni which is not a sect.... I say Sunni to clarify that I am not Shia. To clarify that I believe in different hadith books, to clarify my differences in views in a short and precise way. however normally I say Muslim. It is not making a sect for example a malaki, hanafi are from ahlu us-sunnati w'al-djamaah. They are from the main body of the Muslims, meaning Sunni. Ok so why does hanafi, malaki etc. Exist? These are madhab. Normal laymen are in no position to interpret Qur'an, ahadith etc
  5. Ok coming to this hadith. The exact number may change because of certain matters that I won't address now. But it is this hadith. It has been reported on the authority of Jabir b. Samura who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: The affairs of the people will continue to be conducted (well) as long as they are governed by twelve men. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said words which were obscure to me. I asked my father: What did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say? He said: All of the (twelve men) will be from the Quraish. حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُم
  6. Proof for the Shia religion meaning precise aayaat that support the aqeedah of the Shias. That makes them right and the Sunnis wrong? Where do we differ? The Sunnis believe everybody's words can be true or false as we are not infallible. But the words of rasulullah saw and Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) are not the words of us. They have to right to legislate laws, if they have a word then it is absolute to us. We don't believe that the companions Radi Allahu Anhum (I don't know the abbreviation for it) are infallible and there verdicts can be true or false. Also we don't believe that many af
  7. So alot of people have joined and given their opinions etc. Please understand that I am just 1 person and I can't go into everything you guys mention at the same time. Let's finish one debate topic and move to the next, does that sound ok? I cannot for a couple of reasons. Which I don't have to state. My sincerity is to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), I am not obliged to tell why I can't go. I am not a complete layman. I know a few things mind you haha. Just not that deep. Anyways I won't dwelve too deep into this because I want to stay on topic. For the moment being.
  8. I am still waiting for a response to my question. What is the evidence from the Qur'an for the Shia religion?
  9. Especially since this is a Sunni/Shia debate it is bound to happen that the two parties will hold different opinions. As long as I am respectable in wording it. I don't see an issue to be honest. However I specifically asked for a knowledgable Shia In sha Allah you are one
  10. That is my belief. And I believe it is distinct from Al-Islam I cannot change my beliefs to not hurt your feelings especially when I believe it is the truth.
  11. Assalamu alaikum, I want to have a serious, polite and respectful dialogue between me and knowledgable Shias on this website. First of all let me give you my background information. I have been born into a twelver Shia family. I never believed in it. Around my 15th I became a Muslim(Sunni). I have had some debates with my father that ends with threats of violence and verbal abuse from his side because he is short-tempered and a layman. So what I seek is evidence for the Shia religion from the Qur'an. And from there on we let the debate take its course
