    Salaam alaykum,
I am very proud to present the culmination of nearly ten years of research on the Twelfth Imam, al-Hujja b. a-Hasan, al-Mahdi, al-Qa'im, the Patron of Time, peace be upon him.
This is by far the most comprehensive English work on the subject.
It is a compilation of the most ancient and most reliable hadiths on the Mahdi from Twelver Shīʿī sources. Learn about the birth of the Twelfth Imam, his occultation, his ambassadors, his inevitable return, Islamic eschatology, and much more.
Paperback now available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1790653827

A highly welcomed effort, it is useful for researchers as well as those wanting to understand the idea of the Mahdi within the context of the classical literature on the subject." -- Sayyid Hussain Makke
"... a fresh and insightful approach to the translation of traditions concerning the twelfth Imam and the rising of the Qa’im ... it is my hope that this work will be of benefit to all seekers of knowledge who wish to become further acquainted with the Twelfth Imam (ajt) and his coming." -- Shaykh Vinay Khetia
"A long awaited and much-needed work for the English-speaking world. In an age where skepticism regarding religious beliefs is prevalent, the author has collected many of the reliable traditions on the subject of the Mahdi (a) and has made them readily accessible." -- Sayyid Ali Imran
"The most comprehensive hadith compilation about the twelth Imam present in the English language." -- Dr. Taymaz Tabrizi
"Trained in both secular academia and in the sciences of the seminary Bilal Muhammad combines the very best of both worlds especially when it comes to his methodological rigour in selecting the narrations of this work." -- Dr. Francisco Luis

    Bismilah Ta'Ala

    Step 1 - Hope
Overcoming sins is a process, like most things in life. It is not something you are 'born with' or a magic trick. Anyone can do it. The proof is that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) would not make anything wajib for us unless it was possible for us, because if he made something wajib for us, and it is not possible for us, then He(s.w.a) is unjust, and of course we cannot accept that because it says in the Qur'an that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is Just.
So beginning with the premise that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is Just and that He(s.w.a) does not do injustice, then because something is wajib, it is possible for us. Not doing sins is wajib. Before we begin the process of overcoming sins, we must realize and believe that we can overcome whatever sin or sins we are committing. This is the first and most essential step. If we do not believe it is possible, it will not happen. Believing it is possible for someone else (like a good mumin, Ahl Al Bayt((عليه السلام)), etc) is not enough. Believing it is theoretically possible is not enough. I must believe it is possible for me. So once we have this belief firmly in our mind, we can begin the step by step process.
Iblis is called Iblis from the word 'Labasa'. The meaning of 'Labasa' is 'He gave up all hope'. Iblis gave up all hope of ever being forgiven by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) even though Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) never closed the door of repentance for him. So the beginning of Kufr (ungratefulness and disbelief) is giving up hope of being forgiven by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). On the flip side, the beginning of Iman(faith in Allah(s.w.a)) is having hope, hope of being forgiven for your sins and eventually gaining Paradise. If Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) didn't close the door or repentence for Iblis, why do you think it is close for you ?
I will have some time later on today, InShahAllah, and I will continue to post the process.

@ireallywannaknow  Thank you very much and also to the others that liked it! I shared it with you because I have seen some of your drawings too. And they are mashAllah also beautiful, I like your style.   You can see more art if you go to my profile and click on the website url.
It is just a hobby right now, but I have thoughts of higher aspirations with my art, for example, by doing Islamic da'wah. But that is not something I'm sure of because I still have to know what kind of future is awaiting me as I'm in my last year of high school.  But InshAllah I can use it for something that will benefit the Islamic community.

Hadeel reacted to Abbas. in Do you feel bad about idol worshipers going to hell?
How much time have you and I spent exploring other religions or even Atheism for that matter to ensure that Islam is the right path? If we have failed this standard, we better not expect it from others. In fact, we cannot expect this standard from the majority of laymen considering the realities of life and especially in the absence of a Divine Authority of God (Prophet/Messenger/Imam etc.).
It follows that there is a responsibility on current Muslims, partially if not wholly, to introduce their religion to the world in a befitting manner. This struggle includes being a good ambassador of Islam in a number of ways such as being kind, humble, patient and tolerant enough to understand different perspectives, human observations and opinions before passing judgements that refer to hell. The struggle also means that we learn and practise our own religion in its true essence, explore other religions in all sincerity, and of course, learn other sciences and branches of knowledge too. Until then, let's not take things out of proportion. I struggle to be part of an ideology that, similar to its counterparts, offers salvation under its umbrella and throws people into hell on the basis of dissent, confusion and/or misunderstanding.

    Bismehe Ta3ala,
    Wa Alikum Assalam Wa Rahamah
    Sister Silent,
Insh'Allah you are well and in good health.
Hijab is wajab just like salat and sawm sister.  Below are verses from the Glorious Qur'an.  All our marj3as tell us to observe hijab.
“Say to the believing women that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste)…”

“...and not display their beauty except what is apparent, and they should place their khumur over their bosoms...”

“O Prophet! Say to your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers that: they should let down upon themselves their jalabib.”
What is the meaning of “jalabib”?
Jalabib جَلاَبِيْبٌ is the plural of jilbabجِلْبَابٌ , which means a loose outer garment. See any Arabic dictionary like Lisanu ’l-‘Arab, Majma‘you ’l-Bahrayn or al-Munjid.
Al-Munjid, for instance, defines jilbab as “the shirt or a wide dress—القميص أو الثوب الواسع.” While al-Turayhi, in Majma‘you ’l-Bahrayn, defines it as “a wide dress, wider than the scarf and shorter than a robe, that a woman puts upon her head and lets it down on her bosom...”5
This means that the Islamic dress code for women does not only consist of a scarf that covers the head, the neck and the bosom; it also includes the overall dress that should be long and loose.
So, for instance, the combination of a tight, short sweater with tight-fitting jeans with a scarf over the head does not fulfill the requirements of the Islamic dress code.
