Celtic Twilight reacted to Ruqaya101 in Hate of death
Imam al-Hasan (عليه السلام), in answer to a person about the reason for hating death, said, ‘Because you have wrecked your Hereafter and built your world, and you hate to move from a constructed place to a demolished place.’
    [Ma`Ani Al-Akhbar, P. 390, No. 29]
Does anyone hate death? I don't... Neither do I fear it. What is Imam al Hassan AS referring to here? To what type of people exactly? Ego? Wealth? Sins?

The worst things that have happened to me have been a friend committing suicide, a girl I was madly in love with breaking up with me and having to cut off someone I felt a bond with but was to destructive both to himself and to others for me to cope with.

BBC made documentaries about ISIS sex jihad. Fair enough they tackled the Shia counterpart too.
BUT indeed, why now, why there, etc.
Of course it is all planned.
Who cares, we are neither on the BBC's side nor on those crooked clerics'.

Alright, now that I have time to make a longer reply...
1.This documentary is not out yet so let's not jump to conclusions
    2. This is being made by BBC which has a history of discriminating against Muslims. It hard to overlook the timing of this video as mere coincidence.
    3. Sexual exploitation and harassment of women and children is more common than many people think and it's present worldwide across all regions and religions, so it would be foolish to believe that it is not happening in Iraq or amongst the Muslims. It is everywhere, Muslims, Christians, Jews,Hindus, rich, poor, from illiterate to educated. It's happening in the churches involving priests and nuns in the Hindu temples as well as in other places of worship, Hollywood to KSA, royal families to the war torn countries, unfortunately everyone believes they can prey on women. So it is not something that is special to or confined to the hawzahs in Iraq so at least I don't understand the excitement behind this particular documentary.
    4.  Abuse and harassment of women is a condemnable and deplorable act, no matter who does it, whether it is a priest or a pope or a madrassah teacher or a junior scholar or a marja.
    5. This video focuses on the war widows and their exploitation by 'Elite Shia scholars' . Let's go a few steps back. The reason we have war widows is the ISIS and  the resultant war in Iraq in which a major ally of US was Britain and now the BRITISH broadcasting corporation is going to make a documentary to show to the world the sorry condition of war widows. See the irony? first they kill our people, then they refuse to help the refugees and then they make documentaries on the plight of women and children left behind. This is not excuse or justification IF what they say is happening to widows is really happening but I wouldn't care much about it.
    6. Temporary marriage is something halal in our school but this is something that's always triggered very strong reactions from other schools and also from non Muslims who say it's haram, it's immoral, it's prostitution etc so what they show in the documentary could be temporary marriage to us but prostitution to them.

The Zionist project does not have it's own official borders. This is part of the problem with it- it is by it's nature expansionist. Thankfully Hezbollah defeated it in Southern Lebanon otherwise it would have ended up in the same position that Gaza, the West Bank and the Golan Heights find themselves in. The below is a translation by a Jewish Professor of Chemistry who worked in Jerusalem and became anti-Zionist of an essay written by a leading Zionist ideologue in an important Zionist academic journal.

Fatah have settled for much less than a State- they don't like talk of a one state which is the only thing practical. Hamas would like a democratic one state solution however they have said that they are willing to have a fifty year cease fire with the Zionists if they withdraw from Gaza (by ending the siege) and the West Bank, after fifty years they say that everyone might look at things differently. Hamas are actually quite flexible in how they deal with politics- they are not the ultra fundamentalists they are made out to be though they seem to have begun as close to that. Islamic Jihad in Palestine (who have been very influenced by  Ali Shariati even though they are Sunnis) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine who are secular Hard Leftists are much more uncompromising.

Fatah "autonomy" on the West Bank involves basically very little outside of suppressing- sometimes very brutally- Hamas, Islamic Jihad in Palestine, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine AND indigenous Palestinians who choose to struggle totally non-violently. They basically serve a small bunch of families who have grown wealthy from EU grants even though the Zionists pocket most aid sent to them. The the best that could happen for the Palestinians at the moment is for Fatah and it's "Palestinian Authority" to collapse. Anyway the Zionist project will most likely annex most of the West Bank officially after the next election.

The cold reality is that the Palestinian National Liberation movement is basically defeated. The only hope they have left is that BDS will take off in the West.

No you are not wrong, you have every single right to question. Some parents are just conservative and unbothered. It is not haram to ask questions, because like you said, it allows one to be closer to their religion so the fact that your mother tells you off for questioning and assumes that it is driving away from your faith is messed up
just ignored her and do your own thing. if you want to know more about Islam, do your own research and don’t rely on her opinions

Celtic Twilight reacted to Revert1963 in Greta Thunberg hype, why? [Graphic photo attached discretion advised]
There is absolutely nothing wrong in working against climate change. It is a problem that affects everybody on the planet in including Muslims. A problem that is basically caused by the greed and vanity of humans. In other words a consequence of sin.
I don't know much about Greta Thunberg. Apparently she comes from a family of stage artists. Not actually the financial elite. I have no reason to say anything negative about her.

The reason why the Rohingya, Yemen, Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, etc doesn't get the same traction in western media is because they have the potential to challenge the western narrative in a way that climate change hasn't. Often it is so that western Media would filter out stories that they find to difficult to explain to their audiences. Many westerners doesn't know a thing about Yemen because western media doesn't report it. When you know what is happening in Yemen it becomes to difficult to explain why western politicians is cosying up to the Saudis. Same with the Rohingya. How to explain how their pro democracy media darling Aung San Suu Kyi is suddenly an evil dictator? And with Palestine how do they explain how those poor Jews who was gassed by Adolph Hitler could behave like Nazis them selves? It becomes even more difficult when the victims are Muslims whom they have portrayed as someone who blow theme selves up and chops the heads of people.

I don't like to judge people, but that's disgusting behavior to be honest.
He rather have sex with his hand than to have sex with his wife. There might be some problem in either wife or husband or both.
It's haram and it damages both partners.  Watching porn will change the brain of your husband thinking of sex and woman differently, the way shaytan want us to think of them. It's damaging for both partners because of the expected standards on the partner, which is all fake. Not to mention it's addicting and strong as drugs that is classified illegal.
it's one of the strongest drug that no one talks about, I can't understand how such a thing is still legal. Well this is the system of shaytan so welcome to his world....... Where what's good for you is illegal and whats bad for you legal. Within some few years sex between wife and husband might even become illegal to protect the society from some kinds of unknown disease......

There is a saying by Imam Ali Ameer ul Momineen (عليه السلام), he said he remembers his life that was before this world, or some hadith like that. I am probably missing the larger and better version of course.
So have you ever wondered, or perhaps you have a memory or two of the time before?
Of a different odd world, or a life that was before this. Of a consciousness that did exist before you were born but now alien to us and forgotten because it was so different.

Tragically I don't speak the language he is speaking however this an issue I am very interested in- the United States who has been the principle supporter of the Zionist colonial project is on it's way down, it is only a matter of time before it internally crumbles, so Zionism has been diversifying and a place it has gained a very close relationship with is India and especially with the BJP who are some very seriously evil people and I do not use the word evilly lightly. Can you give me the basics of what he was saying?

Celtic Twilight got a reaction from Ashvazdanghe in Why did the Prophet marry a 9 year old?
I looked into this and from a lot of Sunni sources it seems that she was somewhere between 19 and 21 (as has been already said). The increasing lowering of her age in Sunni sources from what I have been able to make out was due to some Shia implying that Aishia was not a virgin when she married. I am not a Muslim though I accept a lot of what Islam teaches and one of the principle reasons, in fact the principle I am not a Muslim, is that I have a lot of problems accepting the historicity of what I am tempted to call legends about the Prophet. One of the most annoying things, if not the most annoying things I find about "Islamophobes"/"Counter Jihad" is that they always take the most outrageous of these legends, and often ones in Islamic Tradition are open to doubt, and state them as if they were pure fact that cannot be denied.

I would think that speaking Farsi would be a prerequisite for teaching Farsi speakers an other language. At least for beginners classes.
And then why not learn Farsi? I am trying to learn it. It shouldn't be that difficult. If you speak an Indo-European language you can recognize many of the word and if you know some Arabic you will know the rest.
