  1. (bismillah) (salam) ^bro/sis you totally took my statement the wrong way!! maybe i should have been alittle more clear... First off,i was NOT pin-pointing anyone in any way, nor was i saying that doing ANYTHING in public is haram. My point was that sometimes women might loose control in public and may start doing a certain actions, etc thats not really apropriate for islam. also, about some people not affording it or don't live near women only gyms...i apologize since i admit that i wasn't thinking about that. however, working out at home with the kids is a great idea & btw they won't need to turn the sound off because i have come across many that have no music included. Bro/sis you are also taking it to the extreme. who ever mentioned running after the bus or playing with your kids is haram! perhaps tahts the message you got but it certainly wasn't something i said nor was it my intension!!! one cannot go to that extreme, i mean common sense, we live in the 21st Century and our society and way of life has dramatically changed from that of the prophet and ahlulbayt's time. sure we might want to follow them on the rigth path, but taking it to the extreme, and in our world today just doesn't work. Concerning the "ten yr old girl analogy" this is what i would say to her: "You should be thankful dear. At least you have the opportunity to go swimming because some kids out there have limited opportunities. And don't worry, i know you might wish you were in the shoes of a male, but be thankful of what Allah(swt) ahs given you. INshallah in the new world you will experience more joy and happiness than any living person has experienced in this world." p.s. once again, please dont put words into my mouth. i wasn't saying that ANYONE was doing anything haram.... wasalam~~
  2. (bismillah) (salam) There's a difference of jogging out in public where men can see you and an (in door: women only gym). No one said that muslim women must be fat, weak and unhealthy but the opposite. our religion teaches us that we must treat our body well and in a good manner for we don't own it, its an amana. One just has to do it in the right context and avoid haram. wa'salam~
  3. (bismillah) (salam) i think it is a good idea, but yet again like many have mentioned earlier, people do lie about their gender. Thus, males will still be able to access the female forum and vise versa. It'll just be 'impossible' to control and avoid opposite genders entering into each others forums. I agree that it'll be nice for sisters to talk amongst each other "privately" about stuff but we need to think in reality...how would it work? how would you avoid males coming in female forums and females entering male forums? how would you avoid the 'liars' and people who will be creating two accounts one as a male and the other as a female in order to be able to view both? In short, it just won't work........ feamanillah~

  9. (bismillah) (salam) does anyone know of an Islamic website that interprets dreams and says what they mean? I was able to find a lot but not any that were Islamic. if someone can please post a site here it will be very appreciated thank you:) feamanillah~
  10. (bismillah) (salam) lol...Iranis...they do everything! However, I don't think their 'fashions' are very good for islam, meaning the flashiness...its pretty attractive which totally contradicts to the whole point of hijab. Also for these women to be 'displayed' publically (i.e. right here where anyone can and is able to access) is a big NO NO!! feamanillah~

    Moe Name

(bismillah) (salam) hmm...well i can't think of any other name off the top of my head, but i suggest you do think of a better one...only because when you read MOE you automatically think of the nickname for boys with he name 'Mohamed'. An alternate name i believe would be more appropriate and engaging ;) feamanillah~
