And in order to be accepted by Him, reconciled to Him, we must become perfect like Him. But the problem is sin. It afflicts us all equally. Some of us are just more aware of the damning evidence and consequences, like you. But the sobering truth is none of us is able to stop sinning on our own. God knows this. He has always known this. Which is why He promised to send a Savior, One who would save mankind from their sins. But not all mankind will believe God, like Abraham did. Ever since Abraham, whoever, by faith, accepts God's plan, will be saved--that is, changed from filthy and damned, to righteous and holy.

Completely Agree. He ascended to heaven. I think I just had a brain smart, tell me if my thinking is correct: He was ascended to heaven, which is why he will return. Otherwise it is reincarnation belief, which goes against the human element of Jesus (عليه السلام). Same with Mahdi (عليه السلام) who is in occultation. That is why these two figures will return! Subhanallah.

@ShiaChat ModIf I may, ShiaChat broke down for about 24 hours or so and most people could not post (excluding admins and green persons). I want to congratulate you all for bringing it back up. Being honest I also request to express just a little bit of disappointment, you guys could have posted something like "we know its broken, hang in there!" or extend your acknowledgement in the chat room at least once when a few times me and others tried to indicate the problem. Anyway, good job. Hope ShiaChat will be better prepared next time. Especially now when social interactions is most needed.

I have a theory about the development and testing of the corona virus based on my personal experience a decade ago. I was alarmed then and am embarassed now to have said nothing before. I attended a conference sponsored by the WHO in Nice, France, gathering geriatricians from all over the world, basically to get them to endorse long-term-care facilities being built in third-world countries, and in China, where individuals who had dementia, or even genetic markers that predisposed them to getting dementia, would be involuntarily housed. (It was noted that these individuals place the greatest burden on a productive society.) These large facilities would be human testing sites for vaccines. There would be no physician in-house, and they would each be supervised by one nurse. I asked the doctor hosting the conference, "What if these people died?" He said, "It would be better for a few to die than many."
Does it seem odd that this virus is particularly lethal to the elderly and infirmed, but much less dangerous to young healthy productive members of society?

Well said. I suppose I was trying to ease my conscience for not exposing this inhumane practice by the World Health Organization a decade ago. Thank you for bringing this global pandemic into correct perspective. God bless you.

This is why there are conspiracy theories suggesting that Bill Gates, a long time supporter of depopulation, could be behind all this.  
 
My take on this is, What difference does all this make?  Whatever happens happens by the will of God, whether through the Government, or through Gates, or through whatever means, all is willed by God.  And so, trying to make our minds understand Who caused this is futile.  All we need to do is face, accept and submit to the will of God.  This is so that if and when we die, we die as submitters to Him, as martyrs.  Of course, we do our best, but we leave the rest to God..

Schools are closed for the rest of the school-year here. They haven't decided what they're going to do about grades, student placement, graduation, and standardized tests. 
My youngest son has an IEP for autism with significant speech delays, but he's doing better at home than he ever did at school. Maybe we can take advantage of our quarantine time to get him communicating. I'm going to start teaching him to read. 

l saw on dw.com yesterday, the Germans are going to try a serum regimen. This will hopefully provide a short-term 'fix'. l guess it is similar to the platlettes China did. The article said this is the same as whoever was awarded the first Nobel prize in Medicine.

When l get short of breath, as l am again now (yesterday l was okay) l take Gauifenesin 400mg over-the-counter and in a half hour l breath more normally. l found this to work for me --so far, inshallah.
The only other things are basic vitamins and hot  food helps. l think l will do some ginger-tea before fajr.
lf l get worse, l do have what l need to make a crude O2 concentrator and try to avoid hypoxia.
Correct me if l am wrong, but from my reading l get the impression that if l survive long enough for my immunue system to mount the appropriate response then l will slowly recover (like with ebola).
As a comment, as my father said a few times, 'you will never cease to be amazed at how stupid people can be'. Plus the old folks use to say, "there is no dealing with stupidity".
