    The Lions of Babylon

We are proud of being called the Lions of Babylon and the Usood Al-Rafidain (Lions of Mesopotamia) simply because we are proud of our land, nothing more nothing less. Now you are just nit-picking my brother, and I feel silly for replying, anyway - saying (Iraqis) would be the exact definition of anachronistic, which is why I specifically and consciously said (the 'People' of Iraq) - as in the 'People' of the land. Iraq always existed, it just wasn't called Iraq, but now it is. So why am I calling it Iraq? Because I'm living in the modern era, it is Iraq now. Do I really have to explain that to you? *Deep breath" Why are you doing this brother? .... I called the Rashidun Caliphate and the Ummayad Caliphate Invasions Sunni because these Caliphates and their Caliphs are partly responsible for the foundation of the Sunni sect. But NOW it is Sunni history, I called it Sunni because we are living in the modern era.... My brother, I'm trying to use this website peacefully and to learn about my Religion even further, but you are just being straight up insulting, disrespectful and nitpicking big time. I would never talk to somebody like that. They fled Mosul like cowards? I'm just going to leave that statement alone since I'm guessing you would have stayed and fought ISIS when they were at their most dominant in 2014-2015. I tried my best to be peaceful with you. That's the best I can do. I will not be using Shia Chat any longer after the responses I have gotten to my posts lately, you can call it sensitive, I call it a cursed Ummah. I receive so much love from the Jews and the Christians but the Muslims are proof of why the middle east is the way it is. Enjoy MuslimsDisagreeWithEachOtherConstantly.com - I shall seek even more refuge with the Quran after these encounters. I am so disappointed in my people. And don't worry, I know you'll "disagree" with this post as well, but don't bother retorting, I won't be here to reply. Peace be with you. And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace. [25:63]

  7. Half of you have been listening to the Haram Police for your entire lives and the other half let your Quran rust. Don't be angry now!

@hasanhh Do you disagree with historically accurate and factual timeline information? Or is it something else?

    The Lions of Babylon

First, the people of Iraq fought the Akkadians, then the Assyrians, the Persians, the Greek, then the Roman Empire, then suffered the Sunni invasion, then the Islamic Civil War happened, then the Battle of Karbala, the Second Islamic Civil War, the Baghdad Revolt, the Mongol Invasion, the Turco-Mongols, the Ottoman Empire, the Persians again, the Ottomans again, the Mamluks, the Ottomans, the British, the British again, the 14th of July Revolution - British Monarchy falls, the Ba'ath Socialist Party invades - they lose power, they invade again, Saddam Hussein brings death and misery for decades, then the Americans invade for 9 years - they give up and leave, then the Iraqis fight off Al-Qaeda, then they fought off ISIS flawlessly, the Kurds then attempt to start a war as soon as the Iraqis finish off ISIS in order to take advantage of their shaky legs and tired bodies - the Kurds then surrender the North of Iraq to the Iraqis.... This is who you are dealing with... And now, for the first time in many ages, Iraq is (relatively) peaceful. No war. The people still stand strong, happy, laughing, smiling, dancing, having a good time with faith in God even after all the adversity that overcame their land. If a plague were to take the entire world, or flames consume it, Iraq would be the last to fall. The Lions of Babylon.
