    Salam :)

They have homeschooled me for 4 years now I have zero social interaction outside of my family/friends and zero life experience the sheltering isn’t healthy and I won’t ever impose that on my children

I’m so sorry you had to go through that I already feel miserable at the thought of staying in my city for the next two years

    Ziyarat to Karbala and Najaf

Once you get close to any of holy shrines it feels like the safest place on earth honestly but besides that me and my family had no problems we were there for a month in March this year there are pat downs every half a mile or so even while in a taxi there are stops where everyone has to get out of the car and taxi drivers must open the trunk so police officers can check the cars. As for your personal belongings there are lockers you can get by giving them anything equivalent to a license.

I’ve been stalking this forum for a while now and a lot of you are wise and experienced and I need advice My parents have sheltered me all my life once I started high school they homeschooled me, I finished school 2 years earlier because there isn’t much to do when you’re at home 24/7 but now the college problem arises. I applied to only women colleges just so they would be more open to me moving out and studying in another state. I was accepted into a really noteable one except it shares a campus with a coed Ivy League university, my parents aren’t convinced and are refusing to pay the down payment the deadline to pay it is coming up and I don’t know what to do at this point to change their minds. Thank you
