  1. Salaam, So I've got a good story here Me and one of my family members were going over our relatives' (90% born in Pakistan) and we were getting confused as to why 99% of them were born in the winter... Took only 5 minutes to arrive at the chucklesome conclusion. The laughter hurt. Anyone else have some laughable stories they'd like to share?
  2. Salaam, I went through a phase similar to this and I think we all have to some extent. It's just a lot of people don't admit it. Firstly: Some people go their entire lives just to experience a tiny moment in which they can actually FEEL the presence of God, people with a very high status have been there. I wouldn't stress out too much if you do not feel the presence of God, just know o that he is always there. Which brings me onto the second point: This is obviously a test, trust me brother/sister God is simply testing your faith, we've all been there including myself eventually all these doubts will go away. You must have hope. I advise that you surround yourself with your family members who can help you through this time so you can carry on fasting, praying and reading the Qur'an keeping you on the right path and Inshallah you will see the light once again.
  3. https://www.al-Islam.org/ There's loads of books on this website which you can download or read online, 100% Shia. With references.
  4. I guess it must be where I live...
  5. Lol, I was talking about just in general, people in my country are very sociable and sometimes it's disrespectful not to shake hands in certain everyday one off situations. But your tips are VERY helpful for the workplace or school where you'll be going there on a daily basis....
  6. Best way to avoid shaking hand with a non-mahram? Simple. Pretend to sneeze. Very useful where I live.
  7. I don't know if this will help but my Father said: If God likes the way that you pray and talk to him, he will test you so that you pray more, if you are given what you want easily then that way of praying stops do God just prolongs it for awhile but will eventually answer you and reward you. At the end of they day, the one thing you must do is not lose faith in God, he has the answer and solution to all your problems, Inshallah, you will be answered by God in one way or another.
  8. So having a wet dream invalidates your fasting? What if you took a nap while you were fasting in the day (many people do that) and had a wet dream then?? You have no control over it...
  9. Yes, but if keeping a najis animal interferes with practicing the religion (because it is najis) then as an obligatory precaution it must be haraam to keep one.
  10. I think someone I know has been affected by a black magic taweez.
  11. Yes because Allah created them as individuals each with a different reason for their existence which is perfect.
  12. Salaam @Follower of Ahlul Bayt The bottom line is, the Imams are infallible and everything happened in the way Allah intended it to be, including the fact that there are 12 individual Imams who have each bought something different to our religion and they are all known individually for their own attributes and life stories.
