  1. Ok, so a kheera, as everyone I know calls it, is when you hold the Quran, recite something in your head, open the Quran on a random page and start reading to find the answer to what you’re looking for. My mum does that as she is a descendant of prophet Muhammad. I grew up with it and have seen things happen that are pretty fair. Never gave it a thought. But every time I’m accused of things like: talking to a boy in 3rd grade, saying that I didn’t use my iPad to text a boy, or now, saying that my little brother was talking to me about something he shouldnt be saying, the Kheera comes of false. Look, I KNOW that what I said happened was absolutely true. There’s no lie in it. Some things are things that shouldn’t even be lied about. Like seriously. But why is it false? Why does the Kheera say that I’m a liar. Mum once took a Khira and it said something extreme about me and my family had beaten me for a week. Over what? A false Kheera? I said it was false and now they’re saying I’m a Khafira for not believe it onthe words of Allah. For some reason, every time it’s about me, it’s a lie. Are Kheeras even to be trusted? Apparently the twelve imams instructed to take Kheeras.
  2. Thank you for understanding @Hameedeh I’m planning on doing that. I’d never imagine myself reporting my dad anyway. Helplines have also suggested that but I won’t ever do that
  3. You’re right. Absolutely right. But I’m in no position to do that. It’s more complicated than reporting him and getting a restraining order. I have two more years until I’m an adult and would hopefully move to live on campus in uni. I see that as a better option. Maybe then dad would realise what he’s doing is wrong. Or at least, I’ll seperate myself from the abuse once I gain independence
  4. What would they do? Send him to prison? Then what? He’ll just divorce my mum and leave. Mum doesn’t work. She’s never worked as she’s a housewife. How would she support our big family. And what ever happens, he remains my father. Prophet Ibrahim still loved and pleaded with Azar even though he wasn’t his biological father so how do you expect me to report him? And if I did, the long court processes and the money difficulties would be too much, how could I bear this while still going to school. I see school as more important than reporting MY father because regardless of anything, at least he still keeps a roof on top of my head. And won’t this be unfair for my siblings who love him as he never hurt them. They won’t understand why I would do that, but they still love him.
  5. I don’t know how to reply directly to you or use this website. I’ll answer your questions and I hope it reaches you. i don’t have an answer for the first two questions, but for the third, I’ve tried it a lot of times now he calls me a "philosopher" for trying to talk to him and tell him that that’s wrong. He won’t listen to me and telling him that worsens the beats. my Mum and siblings are too scared to. my paternal grandparents are dead and my maternal grandparents don’t live in Australia.
  6. Yes, but it’s pronounced as pedar
  7. Monad and Waseem, please stop fighting. At least take your argument somewhere else. I wrote this question wanting help, guidance and answers. You both are giving me what you think and your answers are really helpful to me. Thank you for icing me advice and an answer. Honestly you’re both right about what you answered, so please stop.
  8. Asalamualaikum, It takes a lot of me to write this so please don’t judge me. In July this year, a problem happened in my domestically violent family (mostly my dad). Ever since a child, when such things happen we are NOT allowed to inform any relatives or family friends because this will ruin our perfect family image and it is wrong to have outsiders interfere. My family all accused me of something I didn’t do. I defended myself, they beat me up, I ran to my room, they tried to open the door blah blah blah fml blah blah. I was so broken and hurt of their accusation I was crying to god to help me end this. These violent times make me so much terrified every time. Then I heard whispering and I crept to listen to find that it was all an act. This hurt so much I decided to end my life. Other things happened that led me to this decision and it wasn’t the idea of giving up, but freeing myself that led me to suicide. I overdosed on pills and went to sleep. I was ready to die. I didn’t care if I went to hell. I thought that I could negotiate and have my say with god more than I could with my family. He created me and he’s merciful. They’re not. They’re abusive. But...I woke up the next morning. Disappointed. They did something else that made me want to kill myself so I overdosed on another bottle of pills. I went to read Quran to distract myself of my aching stomach and to not vomit because bile kept rising. Then, I read Surah Al Haj and on Ayah 11. I decided to not die. This Ayah changed my life. It’s a long story on how but it did. I purged it all out and NEVER told my family or anyone about these two attempts. If I do, they will say that God is punishing me for being a bad person. I know it is haram to commit suicide but I still did try to. And why should I repent when I don’t feel sorry for trying to, but only saddened because I even had to consider and act on it? What should I do? I tried helplines and lifelines but they tell me my family isn’t safe to live with and I should report them, but I don’t want to do that. so, is what I did haram? Will I go to hell? What should I do?
