  1. I was reading through Bihar ul-Anwar until I saw this hadith: Source 1 Source 2 <-- Part 27 Roughly translated: The Prophet ﷺ said: I entered Paradise and I saw on its door inscribed in gold: There is no God but Allah, Muhammad is the beloved of Allah, Ali is the Waliy of Allah, Fatima is the mother of God (?), Hasan and Hussain are the chosen (/the elites of?) by Allah, Allah’s curse on their haters. How do I know that this hadith is Sahih or not? Did I understand it incorrectly? Please let me know.
  2. I agree with El Cid. I think Shias are more strong on the follow-up part. Also what differentiates us with the Salafis/Wahabis is that we allow every question. Every question can be asked and every critique is okay, it shows you have a great intellect and you want to get closer to Allah by trying to understand his religion. Salafi/Wahabis don't allow you to ask anything. They will just throw the "it's just like that" or just say it's in Sahih Bukhari (without references). Also we don't hide anything. All our books are open to the public. But good luck try finding Shia books in strict Sunni/sal
  3. Allah doesn't need anything. He can't worship himself as that would not be logical. I he wants to be worship, he had to create so that he may be worshipped.
  4. I saw statues in Iraq and Iran?
  5. I have listened to a lot of lectures of Kanat Eleyoun. They have 2 speakers, Mirvat Amad and Mohamad Moussa. Mirvat Amad is in charge with more general lectures or lectures based on texts (Quran+Hadith) while Mohamad Moussa does lectures about esoteric and mystical topics. In general, he has really intriguing topics but a lot of times the things he says in his lectures are really really far-fetched. Sometimes I just click away because what he says sounds so made-up and fake and think "what is he even saying?". Sometimes I even search up the terms he uses for more information (in English and A
  6. I kind of disagree. People don't like to mention topics like sex and puberty because it is seen as a taboo by their culture. But islam came to give knowledge in every field. In Muslim majority countries we have a lot of problems that people shun away from because it's taboo. So I think it's highly praisable to mention these problems and clear up all ignorant behavior people have on these topics.
  7. I once heard in a lecture that the person who doubts a lot, should just go with his doubts and move on and Allah is the most merciful. And I can assure you, the water has reached your desired location 100%. No need to worry, inshallah everything will be okay. Try to do istighfar and try to say "a'udhu billahi min al-shaytaan al rajeem" to ward off shayateen and their waswasa. Trust Allah.

  9. Sistani: In the Name of the Most High Praise be to Allah Lord of the worlds and peace and blessings be upon Mohammad and his pure household According to the announcement from the office of H. E. Ayatullah Seestani (long may he live) in the holy city of Najaf, Sunday is the last day of Ramadhan, and Monday 25 May is the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr in the United Kingdom, Scandinavian countries, most of Europe and Middle East.
  10. Assalamu Aleykom brothers and sisters, I was searching for a list of recommended practices of Ramadan. I'm still young so I didn't know what kind of mustahab acts I could do, this is my first serious Ramadan. I did not find such a list though. But I did find an article on wikishia but, for me at least, it was hectic. I prefer a file with all the text and practices within it... so I made one! I took me a lot of time to make it but... alhamdulillah. Almost all was taken from wikishia so you can go there if you prefer that: http://en.wikishia.net/view/Practices_of_Ramad
  11. But then naming our children Ramadan wouldn't be allowed?
  12. SubhanAllah SubhanAllah SubhanAllah SubhanAllah May Allah bless us with the return of our Imam. We all want to meet you oh Imam! May Allah fasten your return oh Qaim!!
  13. Thank you all for your replies and I found it very pleasing to see a discussion among shiachatters, always love to read those.
  14. Are we allowed to do Tawassul to Angels? Is that even possible. I know that a lot of "spiritual" people in the west call upon Archangels like Michael (Mikail) and Gabriel (Jibril) and so on and so on. Can we do this in Islam too? Can we ask for help from Angels with the permission of Allah (bi idhni Allah)? Only serious answers please. Thank you.
  15. The Injeel does not exist anymore. The Injeel a lot of times gets translated as "The Bible" but they're not equivalents of each other. The Injeel is the holy book revelated to Prophet Isa (Jesus) and it is 100% the word of God. The contemporary Bible isn't. So... unfortunately you won’t be able to read it until Imam Al-Mahdi returns, he will bring back with him the Original Injeel. If you're interested in reading the Injeel, I would recommend reading the Qur'an as they would call to the same thing, worship the only God, Allah, God of all Prophets, mankind and whole of creation.
  16. Allah can't be in his own creation. So when people say "God is in Heaven" is a mistake, because God can't reside in his own creation. I’m not limiting Allah by saying he can't it’s just not in his being. The last part is just that Allah is everywhere to perceive and you can feel Allah right there... in your heart.
  17. I was browsing through Duas.org and I came across the Asmaa' Al-Husna page. I read through the benefits of reciting the different names of Allah. I came across Al-Razzaq and saw: "Go into seclusion and repeat 1000x to meet Prophet Khidr.". Is this real?? What are even the sources they used?
  18. @dragonxx @Revert1963 Hi and thank you all for your replies. I think I’m misunderstood. Nor do I want to practice black magic nor do I want to teach it. I only want to learn some books and expand my knowledge that’s all. Does anyone know the ruling on this. I know that for Sunnis it’s haram to research black magic but what about us?
  19. Is it haram to research sihr. I really want to know how the magicians work and what they use and how they do it. I have no intention of doing it myself of course, may Allah protect us from the harm of Sihr. I just want to broaden my knowledge and maybe protect myself from Sihr this way.
  20. Suicide is always haram. May Allah forgive anyone who has committed suicide
  21. He is already Muslim. He can convert by actions instead I guess.
  22. I sincerely hope for a unified Korea, with no communist leader please!
