  1. I will get the hadiths Insha Allah. It is not forbidden. But the problem is people killing each other about this issue, like Salafis. People forgot that Theology is human articulation of what they comprehend. I also wanna leave here that there's a hadith that says that Allah sent one mercy to the world and kept 99 mercies with Him to the day of Judgement. So maybe this is where the Jew is coming from but the soul is not Godly in the sense of being part of Allah, is still a creation.
  2. Your lack of comprehension of Him is your understanding of Him - Abu Bakr. The Prophet (s.a.w.s) said - This nation will be destroyed when people start debating about God. So I just say what was transmitted to me without trying to comprehend.
  3. No... Why you took literally ? The Qur'an is the speech of Allah, does that means Allah have a mouth and tongue to speak? No... Isa (a.s) was born without a father when the Archangel Gabriel breathed the spirit into Maryam. Similar to Adam (a.s). Human soul is created after the spirit that Allah breathed into Adam (a.s)
  4. Allah created the soul by breathing into Adam (a.s). This is in Sunni Hadiths. Although the Soul is not godly.
  5. I take back my views. You guys where right. But you should look if the color is haram or makrooh. As for the other is just cultural. Salam
  6. Would you dress like a Jew? Would you dress like a Orthodox Christian or use clothes like the Pope? There's something called Fiqh which is above hadiths. The fact is that it is not permissible to dress like a Jew with their payots, hats and tzi tzi unless you want to be one of them. Didn't the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s) ordered people to leave the beard and trim the moustache? You know why he did? Because the Zoroastrians used to shave their beards and leave the moustache long.

  10. The first hadith Is talking about how Umar (r.a) used to wear black in hot day, not particularly in mourning. I didn't found the book of the second narration. But I didn't found any hadith supporting so I will take a guess that it is a ahad narration and ahads are only probable as said by Imam Al Nawawi (r.a). The third narration is talking about shroud that the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s) was wearing. You completely ignored the Matn of the hadith. The fourth hadith I well know, is not surprising that the Prophet (s.a.w.s) was wearing black, as I said in previous post that the Prophet (s.a.w.s) used to wear black in battle and when he was going to talk with mushriks, at home he used to wear white, some narrations also say he used a green turban. The fifth case you showed me is a dream related to the student of Imam Abu Hanifa (r.a) (Batini. Something without tangible proof) Again you also ignored the Matn here, is talking about a coffin wrapped in black shroud, I find this weird because Muslims are not buried with coffins and I presume that the shroud of the corpse is white as it is specified in the shari'i law. And the last case you showed me about Jinns wearing black at the funeral of Umar (r.a). I can almost smell the scent of Isralliyat in this one because the Prophet (s.a.w.s) was already dead and I fear no one could see jinns after him unless you think some sahaba had knowledge of the unseen. Again a Batini concept. This narration is fabricated. I found several shia narrations saying that black is makrooh thou as stated above by others.
  11. Imam Ali (a.s) was very cautious in isralliyats entering into Islam.
  12. No such book called bible in the Qur'an, if you're referring to the Injil (Good news) of Isa(a.s) then yes. Yes in the Qur'an I am commanded to believe that previous scriptures where sent to previous nations but that the Qur'an abrogated those scriptures and the previous scriptures are corrupted. Yes I believe in Isa (a.s) and Musa (a.s) because the Prophet (s.a.w.s) and Allah told me so, had they said not to believe in previous prophets I wouldn't. Here is article of why they use black - http://newtheologicalmovement.blogspot.com.br/2012/10/why-priests-ought-to-wear-black.html?m=1 _____ Black is the color of Death for them. There's no such thing in Islam. This carries a religious connotation that doesn't belong in Islam. The Prophet (s.a.w.s) used to wear black, was he (s.a.w.s) using black to represent death? ____ Here is a hadith in how we are commanded to oppose them - Ibn Abbas (r.a) narrated, Prophet (s.a.w.s) said; Fast the Ashura, and oppose Jews by fasting one day before or one day after! Narrated in Musnad Ahmad
  13. Salam Brother. I can only say from a Sunni perspective. Wearing black clothes for mourning is not allowed in Sunni Sources because it falls under the category of imitating Christians and Jews who wear black during funerals, so at least for us is not allowed due to this.
  14. Interesting. Salafis oppose everyone due to their theology ( They oppose traditional Sunnis, Shias and Ibadis alike). The salafis have different definition of Shirk (associating partners with Allah) then no other Muslim shares, so they regard everyone else as polytheists. They also have different view about bidah and think their sect is the only one unaffected by innovation in the religion. There are good Salafis, but just dont talk about God with them. Some Salafis are more liberal minded but they share the same ideological fallacies of the sect. I think the biggest impact is internet, unqualified people giving religious ruling and Saudi export of books. Go to any salafi mosque and you'll see books from Saudi Arabia.
  15. Yes he was born in Ur but migrated to Palestine. And sent his sons (Ishmael and Ishaq) to different lands. Ishmael went to Mecca. And Ishmael is regarded as the father of the Arabs. I think Iraqis descend from the sons of his third wife Kethura. Yaqub was the father of the Israelites (not Israelis, I am talking about dinosaurs here)
  16. The miracle of Rasool Allah is the Qur'an and any other miracle falls under the possibility of being fabricated unless is a mutawattir hadith across all sects.
  17. I wanna know how Twelver Tawheed is defined and the list of Allah attributes. I am doing theological research. Every sect have a different definitions.
  18. Allah was too busy explaining bananas, honey bees, mountains and palm trees in the Qur'an and left this really important matters of creed out. That's why he need fallible humans to explain in created Tafseers what He meant.
  19. Please don't attribute on Allah a name that He did not spoke about in the Qur'an or hadiths. YHWH is not a name He used to describe Himself in Islamic sources. It's a name from bible and Torah and it's a isralliyats therefore is rejected.
  20. Please clarify me the Twelver stance on Tawheed and the 99 attributes of Allah.
