ZethaPonderer got a reaction from Shah Khan in Are there Zaidi Shias in ShiaChat.com?
Asalaamulayqum @Shah Khan and @TheGreenWanderer.
I want to first explain myself just who I am first and foremost before giving out websites that would make a starting ground of seeking information about the Zaidi sect within Shia Islam.
I am a Syed in real life and a Zaidi as well.
My family descends from the line of The Fourth Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS) and takes great pride in their genealogy. Doesn't matter to me though since I could be one of the sons of Prophet Musa (AS) and it wouldn't grant me instant salvation away from Jahnum/Hell.
My family and I do our very best to be stern and devout followers of Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS) even though we're not perfect.
My knowledge on my own Madhab has its limits due to limited information and my family usually don't talk too much about the differences/similarities of the Zaidi Madhab compared to other Madhabs within the Shia Branch of Islam since they believe all Madhabs within the Shia Branch are OK for me to learn from. Be they Hussaini, Jafari, Twelver etc etc.
So, please excuse me if I do come across as a mix between a Zaidi and a Jafari since I'm also learning the Jafari Madhab as well since one of my family members is related to the Madhab.
I find the Sixth Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) very admirable and rational with his scientific/philosophical contributions for Humanity.
I believe in Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his 12 Imams (AS): Ali ibn Abi Talib, Hasan ibn Ali, Hussain ibn Ali, Zain-ul-Abideen, Muhammad Baqir, Jafar Sadiq, Musa Qazim, Ali Raza, Muhammad Taqee, Ali Naqee, Hasan Askari, and Muhammad Al-Mahdi.
I believe that Imam Muhammad Al-Mahdi (AS) is Hidden in Qiyamat and shall arrive soon alongside Prophet Jesus/Isa (AS) and Prophet Khizr (AS) to battle with The Dajaal.
Now that my backstory is out of the way let's get down to business, however I must warn you. Since we live in the Age of Misinformation it is necessary to fact check so please understand where I'm coming from before reading the websites. I have no desire or intention to misinform any of my brothers here. But since finding information about the Zaidi Madhab from a general sense is limited through the internet I did the best I could to find it so we could develop a starting point for seeking information.
Let's begin.
So, I found a discussion board on Salvation Ark where one of the topics is about Zaidi literature and Hadith Books. I encourage all of my brothers to read this before the website link since it provides what to expect when reading the website they post.
http://salvationark.com/salvationark1/index.php/forum/general-discussions/120-zaidi-literature-hadith-books
And here's the website in question that has information about the Zaidi/Zaydi/Zaydiyya sect's literatures and hadiths written
http://www.tash-ayyu.org/zaydiyya (Please remove the hyphen to check the website)
One of the members in Salvation Ark Abu Yusuf posts this about the website in question,
"Actually tash-ayyu.org is not (specifically) a Twelver site, at this point it should be considered more as being a pan-Shi`a site focused on translated ancient Shi`i materials into English. This includes Imami material whether Twelver, Waqifi, or Isma`ili, as well as early Zaydi material. I can speak with some confidence on this since I'm the translator/site admin and I'm not a Twelver myself.
The intent in translating this is as the above goal stated. For myself though, the further intention is to understand this important text better and figure out what to make of it. I've found that for myself the best way to truly delve into a material is to translate it. Unlike casual reading where you can skip or skim though on areas you might not fully understand, (good) translating forces you to consider each and every word. While I do not consider myself to be specifically Zaydi either, I do regard that there is value in considering this source material from these `Alid authorities. If anything my approach might be closest to Qadi Nu`man al-Maghribi, the Fatimi Isma`ili jurist and scholar, in that he would make use of Imami and Zaydi sources (he would even on occasion quote from al-Qasim ar-Rassi), though I don't consider myself Isma`ili as such either."
I hope I don't misinform any of my brothers here. I did the best I could. Be careful.

Would not we as Muslim give warning to human ? This kind of sentence is not right as most of the time i see and hear in my life (perhaps a kind of rampant disease among human especially in developing country) : such as "we (as a country, or an organized entity) are corrupt (or any other behavior)" after finding out that some people are corrupt.
So making generalization is not right and is not just.

ZethaPonderer reacted to Rifka Ibrahim in View Of Jesus Pbuh In Shia Islam Must Read!
The Qur'an says in Surah 2 (The Heifer) ayat 135-137:
They say, "Become Jews or Christians if you would be guided (to salvation)." You say: "Nay! (I would rather) the Religion of Abraham the True and he joined not gods with Allah." You say: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus and that given to (all) the Prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: and we bow to Allah (in Islam)." So if they believe as you believe, they are indeed on the right path..
At the time in history this ayat was revealed to Muhammed (pbuh), all of the previous revelations listed were in book form, each confirming the former revelations. The People of the Book, often mentioned in the Holy Qur'an clearly had a book, and the book they had (in the 7th century) was the whole Bible, including all of the New Testament. At no point in the Qur'an does it ever say there are books, considered revelations of Allah, such as those above, that cannot be trusted or should be thrown behind the back. In fact, the Holy Qur'an commends the People of the Book who believe in the revelations sent to them and condemns those who twist the meaning of those revelations. True believers believe in all the revelations. This same point is repeated in Surah 3 (Al-'Imran), ayat 84, where it says the following, referring clearly to books:
Say, "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord: we make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam). [This is the exact wording in the Abdullah Yusif Ali translation into English give to me at the Shia Mosque I have attended.]
So you can see that the Holy Qur'an affirms that those of true faith believe in ALL of the revelations and "make no distinction between them." They are all preserved by the authority of Allah as written books, each confirming those that come before.
Shall we believe traditions and sayings over the Holy Qur'an? It says 5 times that the Word of Allah cannot be changed (Surah 5:48, 6:34, 6:115, 10:64, 18:27, and that He guards it from corruption Surah 15:9. These assertions are based on the very character of Allah Himself, as All Powerful and All Knowing. It also says that the Holy Qur'an confirms what was sent before in the Injil (Al 'Imran) Surah 3, ayat 3, and in other places as well.

There is shockingly little in the way of muslim contributions to science in the past couple centuries, that much is true, but his argument is basically why do you expect westerners to like muslims when all muslims have done is export violence and bloodshed etc. That same thing can be said of western countries, why do you expect muslims in the islamic world to like the west, when they bomb their countries, impose sanctions on them, impose dictators on them, overthrow democratically elected governments and even, impose entire nations on them. Nothing can justify an act of killing against innocent civilians whichever way you look at it on both sides. But, yes, there is a serious need for emphasis on education in the muslim world, there is nothing inherently superior about westerners that makes them at the forefront of advancements, but the difference is that is something that is valued in the west and well understood by the governments, in the middle east the dictators are too concerned with losing power and would rather just keep their people ignorant on every level.

ZethaPonderer got a reaction from Ashvazdanghe in Is YHWH the same as Allah?
*Sigh* Now listen Mishael, if you've even bothered to watch the video I linked, the person does point out how the previous scriptures which the Bible represents as a collection of all the previous scriptures of The Word of God through Prophet Jesus/Isa (AS) that were revealed to the Israelites are not the same as they were originally. Meaning that the Bible Christians are working with is endless multiple copies of what the Torah, Injeel, Zabur, and all the previous scriptures revealed "could've been" (Video timestamp, 8:00). Do you Christians have the Aramaic equivalent of it preserved since Prophet Jesus/Isa (AS) not only spoke Greek and Hebrew, but largely spoke Aramaic for his time to his own people? So, The Bible is nothing more to some Muslims like me other than "What The Word of God could've been through the previous prophets" instead of The Legitimate Word of God spoken through Prophet Jesus/Isa (AS) recorded by his stern and stoic disciples.
So the evidence you're even bringing is self-defeating for me. The man in the video studied Textual Criticism of the Bible along with the previous scriptures.
Furthermore, if Prophet Adam (AS) was created last before Jesus (AS), then that's a weak and baseless argument since all the previous prophets after Adam (AS) weren't created during the creation of Prophet Adam (AS). Thus, Noah was before Adam and was uncreated. Moses was before Adam and was uncreated. Abraham was before Adam and was uncreated. David was before Adam and was uncreated. Solomon was before Adam and was uncreated. Lot was before Adam and was uncreated.
Doesn't matter since the model Jews and Christians have of their portrayal of the previous prophets based on the endless multiple copies of their respective scriptures is outright disrespectful, blasphemous, nonsensical and borderline disingenuous
Examples:
Prophet Lot/Lut (AS) committing Incest (Major Sin) upon his daughters after the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Prophet David/Dawud (AS) committing adultery (Major Sin)
Propet Noah/Nuh (AS) being an Alcoholic Drunk
Nawuzubillah, may The God of Abraham have mercy on my poor deluded miserable soul for what have I just read and pondered through. I would've been a die-hard atheist if I wasn't aware of Islam and only read the previous scriptures. Bless Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and His Family The Ahlul-Bayt for restoring the honor of the previous prophets.
I rest my case. Joshua Evans made too many points that are undeniable.
Also, I really despise people who only assert but never bring out evidences/proofs to back up their assertions.

ZethaPonderer got a reaction from MohammadAli1993 in Is YHWH the same as Allah?
First of all @Mishael, I'd like to apologize for my disrespectful behavior throughout all these posts since it has come to my realization that you remained humble and calm throughout your posts. I realized that I focused too much on the little details and not so much on the big picture. You made your point on the many historical biases Islamic sources and authors may have, but it doesn't excuse yours since even the opposer's point of view (aka Romans) will also be just as biased to fit in the "seemingly exaggerated" Christian narratives of your Christian sources. At the end of the day you've proved your point, the historical accounts are all up for debate on this one and simply need to be proven one way or another.
Other than that, I would discuss something else that slipped my mind. Not only do I wish to discuss this with you, but it would be relevant to the actual topic at hand.
If this is the extent of how you perceive ALL Muslims who think like this about the Christian Theology of The Trinity then allow me to give you the benefit of the doubt.
If it is established under the OT that The God of Abraham is One and Only (which would strongly imply that He is "Whole" as well given by the "Only" nature of Him) based on given evidence (Deuteronomy 4:35-39, Deut 6:4, and Psalms 86:10) then what reason does He/It have in the NT to seemingly split His Oneness into 3 entities: The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit? Is He/It not limiting His immeasurable power by doing so? Why Prophet Jesus/Isa (AS) as the Son of God? Because he came into existence from his virgin mother Mary? Why not Prophet Adam (AS) be the Son of God since he came into existence without the need of a mother and a father and YHWH directly created him? Does that not make his existence superior to Prophet Jesus/Isa (AS)?
Case in point, The Christian Trinity makes no sense to Muslims just as much as "some" Jews since it seemingly violates the concept of Monotheism (Tawheed) of The God of Abraham in all respects.
This concept of monotheism Christians propose is truly alienating because of the plausibility of the Trinity Theology that was established as a doctrine from the Council of Nicea at 325 AD, ascribing Prophet Jesus/Isa (AS) and The Holy Spirit being equal to YHWH (The Father) which IMO goes against everything the OT YHWH was described being One and Only.
Also, I want to leave it with this,
This video sums up everything about The Christian Theology being off in every way possible.

Also it could be that they were under Taqiya, having such names and expressing polytheism so that pagans didn't harm them.
Imam Al-Sadiq a.s. said: "The example of Abu Talib is like that of the Sleepers of the Cave - they hid their faith and expressed polytheism, so Allah gave them their reward twice." Al-Kafi, Volume 1, Hadith 1209.

ZethaPonderer reacted to Ashvazdanghe in Is Satire based on Criticism or Ridicule?
Hazel writes in the literature that he has a tangible and intangible expression of righteousness that is contrary to literacy and speaks of sexuality or sexual orientation without any discrimination and is in contrast to his ancestors, doctrines and wisdom. [1] Hazal is not a serious subject, and with The satire and satire are different, because in humor, laughter is a means to reach a higher goal, and to hedge in its attacks individual or political-social aspects. Ubayd Zakani introduced satire in Persian literature during the 14th century. His work is noted for its satire and obscene verses, often political or bawdy, and often cited in debates involving homosexual practices. He wrote the Resaleh-ye Delgosha, as well as Akhlaq al-Ashraf ("Ethics of the Aristocracy") and the famous humorous fable Masnavi Mush-O-Gorbeh (Mouse and Cat), which was a political satire. His non-satirical serious classical verses have also been regarded as very well written, in league with the other great works of Persian literature. Between 1905 and 1911, Bibi Khatoon Astarabadi and other Iranian writers wrote notable satires.

Humor in Persian literature.
In classical Persian literature, humor was in the works of the writers of various periods in various ways. At the top of these people, Obeid Zakani is the father of satire of arts in Persian literature. [10] But contemporary prose and satire began with the articles of Ali Akbar Khan Dehkhoda. The articles published in the Sorasrail newspaper published by Jangirirkhan Sorasafil named "Chernand and Prand". Girand and Pand were inspired by the method of prose writer Mirza Jalil Mohammad Ghalizadeh in the melanoz al-Din satire. At the same time as Dehkhoda in prose, Iraj Mirza and Seyyed Ashrafdodin Qazvini, they opened new ways in verse humor. From the later satirists, we can mention Kiumores Saberi Fomeni (Gol Agha), Abolfazl Zarroi Nasr Abad, Abolqasem Mousavi, Manouchehr Ehterami, Seyed Ebrahim Nabavi, Zahra Dari, Pouria Alami, Ismail Amini, Naser Feiz, Omid Mehdinezhad, Alireza Labash and Abdollah Moghadami.

Invective
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Look up invective in Wiktionary, the free dictionary. Invective (from Middle English invectif, or Old French and Late Latin invectus) is abusive, reproachful, or venomous language used to express blame or censure; or, a form of rude expression or discourse intended to offend or hurt;[1][2][3] vituperation, or deeply seated ill will, vitriol.[clarification needed] The Latin adjective invectivus means 'scolding.'[citation needed]

Persian Edit]
The Hajv in Persian literature is used in the form of a piece of poetry for personal or political-social purposes. Mohammad Ja'far Mahjob in the book of Khorasani style in Persian poetry has expressed a view about the origins of Persian feud.
Manjik Taremzi is one of the first poets whose poems are in parody. It was written in an archival council that "A man was a sharp man, an angry man, a tongue, a tongue, an angel, and a point that nobody could drink from his raven, and he would not have heard of the wicked lips; he made the hamster's chest tied up to the tongue of the wicked, Bazyat. "In the book of the historical perspective of Hajj in the chapter on motivations in Siri Syah, while describing a complete description of the Persian hijauats and Hajosaries, in each period of the history of literature, Azizullah Kāsaf considers the poetry that the people of Khorasan read in Hajj Asad bin Abdullah, the first of which is the poetry of Dari poetry. [1] Mekram Isfahani was a famous hijah who wrote his poems in Esfahani dialect in Isfahan Voice One "He was doing his own humor to wake up and go to war of superstition." His most famous poem is Aaron and Lot. [1]

ZethaPonderer reacted to M. SAKAN in THE AMAZING QURAN
TAFSEER OF SURAH INSAAN-BY SHEIKH ALI AZHAR ARASTU
Chapter 1:Introduction:
Surah Insaan has thirty one verses. Even though this surah is short but it has a deep and complete meaning.
We can divide this surah to five parts:
First, it speaks about the creation of humans and their free will. Then, it speaks about the rewards for the pious which these verses were revealed for the AhlulBait (as) Then it speaks about the reason why these pious people deserve these beautiful rewards. Then it speaks about the importance of the Holy Quran and how to follow the Quran’s rulings and self-building. Finally, it speaks about Allah’s will, that whatever He wishes will surely happen. The names of this surah: Surah Insaan has a few names: Surah Dahr, Surah “Hal Ata” and “Surah Insaan.” These names were selected because of the first verse of this Surah.
Where was this surah revealed? According to the Shia scholars, this surah or at least the verses in the beginning which are about the AhlulBait (as) were revealed in Madina.
A lot of the Sunni scholars also believe that this surah was revealed in Madina.
The reward of reciting this surah: The Holy Prophet (s) said, “Whoever recites this surah, his reward on Allah is heaven and heavenly garments.”
Imam Baqir (a.s) said, “Whoever recites Surah “Hal Ata” (Surah Insaan) every Thursday morning their reward is that they will be with the Holy Prophet (s) on the Day of Judgment.”
Chapter 2: Surah Insaan verse 1
Even though this surah speaks a lot about the hereafter but it begins by speaking about the creation of humans because the goal of creation is the hereafter.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
"In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful."
هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ حِينٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئًا مَذْكُورًا {1} Has there been for man a period of time when he was not anything worthy of mention?
Yes of course! There surely came over man a period of time when he was not worth mentioning. His particles were all over the world, in the water, in the air, in the dirt and he not worth mentioning.
Question: In this verse, is the word إِنْسانِ “man” speaking about Prophet Adam (as) or every human?
Answer: The word إِنْسانِ in this verse isn’t speaking about Prophet Adam (as). It is speaking about the people. We can prove this with the next verse which says,
إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ
“Indeed we created man from the drop of a mixed fluid.”
The word إِنْسانِ “man” is repeated in this verse and this verse is elaborating on the verse before.
The verse says, “Indeed We created man from the drop of a mixed fluid.” Prophet Adam (as) wasn’t created like that. But all his children were created this way. So, this verse is speaking about the humans, the children of Prophet Adam (as) and not Prophet Adam himself. And, the same goes for the verse before where the same إِنْسانِ “man” is mentioned and it’s being elaborated by this verse.
The word حينٌ means a limited and short or long part of time. And the word دَّهْرِ means unlimited time; meaning time which we cannot see its beginning and end. So, this verse is saying that there was certainly a period of time that man was not worth of mentioning.
لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئاً مَذْكُوراً
He was not anything worthy of mention
What does this part of the verse mean?
This means that humans were still not created that is why they weren’t worthy of mention. They had no name unlike the sky, the water, etc. That is why they were not worth mentioning. But, after they were created and they were brought to this world as a human being, that is when they became worthy of mention.
In other words, this verse is saying that the matter for humans existed but they didn’t exist as a human that is why they weren’t worthy of being mentioned. And then Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى gave them life and value.
The next verse says, ““Indeed We created man from the drop of a mixed fluid.”
So, according to these two verses the humans were worthless until Allah gave them life and value.
The end result is that the humans are totally dependent on Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. Only parents aren’t the reason for a child’s life. It is Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى who gives the child life. The matter which creates a human always exists but it is Allah who blesses it with life.
The creation of humans is truly very amazing. How one cell is multiplied and how it’s divided into hands, feet, mouth, eyes, etc. And if we ponder over this creation, we will realize even if all the body parts are formed, it is still impossible to bring life into the body. All this is still matter. Surely, we are absolutely dependent on Allah and He is the one who gives life to all of us.
Let us ask the atheists, who gives life to the bones and flesh in the womb? Who can bring this helpless matter to life? Who created this system that the whole body is created by one cell that is multiplied and every cell becomes exactly what it’s supposed to become? The hands become hands the feet become feet. Have you ever seen a baby with a hand and foot on the upper part of the body and a hand and foot on the lower part of the body? Who manages this system?
We surely have a creator and He is the best creator.
فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ
So blessed is Allah, the best of creators!
Sura Al-Muminun 23:14

ZethaPonderer got a reaction from iCambrian in How is the term 'Peace' truly defined?
Well I'm familiar with the 99 names of Allah under Islamic sources and His 72 names under Judeo-Christian sources. The fact of the matter is we all cater to the belief that there is only One God. I see Islam as a Bani-Ismael centric Abrahamic Religion where The Same God has perfected His religion while Judaism and Christianity are both Bani-Israel centric Abrahamic Religions. They both have the same message.
Besides, YHWH used to be the name of Allah under Hebrew terminology but has been lost in translation so it's just a word that could've been one of the forgotten names of Allah. Note how I stress could've been. Just because it's from the Bible and Torah doesn't mean His many names within His previous scriptures have to be rejected. Are you saying all 72 names of God have been rejected under Judeo-Christian? You do realize the etymology of one of His 72 names Elah in Aramaic is related to the Arabic equivalent Allah? So logically one of His names from the previous Abrahamic religions has been carried over under Islamic.
Anyway, PM me further to discuss this topic more since I don't want to stray off from the actual topic at hand.

ZethaPonderer reacted to S.M.H.A. in Your Understanding-Lessons/Message from Karbala
I completely understand, what i do is not conventional and politically correct. I understand the consequences. I do not accept an acknowledgement, as a matter of fact i prefer that there is no acknowledgement or like or thanks or your a right and some should listen to what i said . What I said was it populer, did people like it or not , if not why not - will just be an obstacle and people will loose interest that no one cares or like/appreciates what they say.. Say what you have to say and move on. Preferably, only constructive feedback to make you better. Consider yourself as an elite soldier, on a solo mission. No one is there to pick you up when you fall, no one is there to encourage you, no one to support you and no cheering crowd. You and you inner strength is the only thing you can rely on. Don’t care what obstacles in the way, you stay focus on the mission and accomplish it.
Your mission here is to provide your understanding and not worry about anything else. If some one ask for clarification don’t be offended. You are helping that person to understand better.

Please don't attribute on Allah a name that He did not spoke about in the Qur'an or hadiths. YHWH is not a name He used to describe Himself in Islamic sources. It's a name from bible and Torah and it's a isralliyats therefore is rejected.

ZethaPonderer reacted to Yahya313 in Proof of God
It is more complicated than thay when it comes to atheists, since they are so stubborn you have to go throw Scientific and Philosophical aspects in order to convince them.
Inshallah I will continue later. I shall begin translating a book called "Logic, Science and God" which is currently only in Spanish so that everyone can benefit from it.

ZethaPonderer reacted to Yahya313 in Proof of God
I recently did an article on the existence of god on one of the threads which I think would benefit everyone:
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and greetings be upon our Master and Prophet, Ab-al-Qassem al-Mustafa Muhammad and upon his immaculate, pure and chosen household, especially the one remaining with Allah on earth.
So the topic here is about Atheism, which as an Ex-Atheist myself can say is like relying on elephants to walk on a spiders web, but unfortunately nowadays "Atheism" or how I label it as "Lack of common logic" has been equalled with being enlightened or somehow intelligent. Leaving out of course the great Muslim and Christians Scientists and Philosophers like Isaac Newton, Mullah Sadra, Ibn al-Haytham etc. out of the picture completely but nevertheless let us dive into this.
First Question:
Is the universe Eternal?
Well there are many reasons why the universe cannot have existed forever:
The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics:
The Second Law of Thermodynamics is about the quality of energy. It states that as energy is transferred or transformed, more and more of it is wasted. (https://www.livescience.com/50941-second-law-thermodynamics.html)
So if the universe was eternal how come we still find ourselves with energy? Why has it not been wasted already if our universe had existed for ever?
The Theory of relativity:
Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity means that the universe had a beginning and was not eternal as he had previously believed (Einstein was originally a pantheist). His theory proved that the universe is not a cause, but instead one big effect—something brought it into existence. Einstein disliked his end result so much that he introduced a “fudge factor” into his theory that allowed for an eternal universe. But there was only one problem. His fudge factor required a division by zero in his calculations—a mathematical error any good math student knows not to make. When discovered by other mathematicians, Einstein admitted his error calling it “the greatest blunder of my life.” After his acknowledgment, and upon confirming further research that showed the universe expanding just as his theory of relativity predicted, Einstein bowed to the fact that the universe is not eternal.
Galaxy seeds:
Scientists believe that, if the Big Bang is true (first, there was nothing, then, BANG, something came into being), then temperature “ripples” should exist in space, and it would be these ripples that enabled matter to collect into galaxies. To discover whether these ripples exist, the Cosmic Background Explorer – COBE – was launched in 1989 to find them, with the findings being released in 1992. What COBE found was perfect/precise ripples that, sure enough, enable galaxies to form.
The radiation echo:
Bell Labs scientists in 1965. What is it? It is the heat afterglow from the Big Bang. Its discovery dealt a death blow to any theory of the universe being in a steady state because it shows instead that the universe exploded.
Hydrogen turning into helium:
In the basic Hydrogen fusion cycle, four Hydrogen nuclei (protons) come together to make a Helium nucleus.
If the universe is eternal then how come we still have hydrogen? Why has it not already turn into helium?
This is as far science can go with my argument, since now on it is based on Mathematics, Logic and Philosophy.
Some Atheists insist that energy could have exited at a quantum level, however there are 3 major flaws in this:
1) How can the laws of the universe apply before the universe even existing?
2) How can this simple quantum energy create such precision in the universe we reside in?
There is something interesting they point out by saying ' This energy could've needed some time to heat up and BOOM!
Flaws:
1) Time is an aspect that governs this universe.
2) This is implies an impossible infinity. For example, if someone tells you he has been counting down since infinity for ever and has recently reached the number 2,1,0,-1 etc. How come he has reached these numbers now? Has he not had a infinite amount of time to reach this level?
There are many Mathematical and logical aspects to this, I do not have the knowledge to further delve into this matter therefore I move on.
Could the universe have come out of nothing? This is as absurd as saying that my glass of water came into existence out of nothing, but let us look at the law of non-contradiction:
In classical logic, the law of non-contradiction (LNC) (or the law of contradiction (PM) or the principle of non-contradiction (PNC), or the principle of contradiction) is the second of the three classic laws of thought. It states that contradictory statements cannot both be true in the same sense at the same time. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_noncontradiction)
So how can there be nothing but then out of absolute nothingness get something like mass or laws etc?
Could the universe have been merely by simple chance?
The word renowned math mathematician Roger Penrose who is a friend of Stephen Hawkings delved into this and found out this was the number:
1/10 to the power of 10 to the power of 123. Let me point out that mathematically a number is 1/10 to the power of 50 it is regarded as 0 probablity.
As Penrose puts it, that is a “number which it would be impossible to write out in the usual decimal way, because even if you were able to put a zero on every particle in the universe, there would not even be enough particles to do the job.”
A common sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a superintellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature. The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question.”
–Cambridge University astrophysicist and mathematician Fred Hoyle
.
“Fred Hoyle and I differ on lots of questions, but on this we agree: a common sense and satisfying interpretation of our world suggests the designing hand of a superintelligence.”
–Former Harvard University Research Professor of Astronomy and the History of Science Owen Gingerich, who is now the senior astronomer at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. Gingerich is here reflecting on Fred Hoyle’s above comment.
