Intellectual Resistance got a reaction from ShiaChat Mod for a status update, "A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience.
"A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the "half empty or half full" question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: "How heavy is this glass of water?"
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."
She continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed  incapable of doing anything."

I hold absolutely no grudges with anyone on here. Grudges aren't healthy in any context, but particularly on an online forum, with your own brothers and sisters, who are part of a minority within a minority, it's just the most petty thing. Our lives should be more enriched, and our minds healthier , more positive, and more compassionate to even entertain things like that.  Cliques on online forums, fragmentations into groups, all of such things, are petty. We should give people the benefit of the doubt, have good thoughts of others, and work in that way.
If we find that this isn't the case , then it might just be better for either side of the equation to unplug and find better ways to further their intellectual endeavours and serve the Ahlulbayt. And sometimes, for some of us, on either side of the equation, we soon come to realise a forum may not be the best place.  We all have opinions, and unless we blow like the wind, in life you will disagree with people if you ever stand for something.

Knowledge isn't power. Applied knowledge is power. You can read many books, listen to expert advice, even spend time learning useful information about how to develop skills, but unless you apply it, grind, have the discipline to be consistent and sometimes do the things you don't want to do day in day out, you aren't going to go anywhere. Don't assume because you're busy, that you're productive. Don't assume because there's movement, that there's progress.
The will to act is everything.

Sure, me not liking a practise doesn't make it Harram, but Khomeini, Khamanei, Makarem Shirazi, Esfahani, Fadllulah, Muhammed Najafi, Mutahari, Kamal al-Hayderi and many others who have explicitly deemed it Harram and condemned it in the harshest of terms, in addition to any rational argument being quite clear that this act goes against not only Islamic principles, but basic humane ethics, promotes self-harm, gore, a dangerous way to deal with grief, and annihilates our image.
As Imam al-Hussain said: "...Be free in your present life". Put cultural constraints, family biases aside, and think freely.
    A generic message to all.

    Dua in appreciation:
This is the biggest Shia forum online, and often the first stop when people google questions. Part of its success relies on people who do so much work behind the scenes allowing us to have a smooth website that is well managed. Among these people is someone who has been doing this for a long time - sister Hameedeh.
Whoever reads this, if you agree with me, then make a Dua for the sister for Allah to accept their efforts, grant them the best in this life and the hereafter, on account to their selfless dedication and devotion to our forum.
