  1. Salam Brother, There can be many ways to assume what you want to assume. For instance, in the second testimony you state that "I bear witness that Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is the servant and Prophet of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى)" (Ashhado anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasooluhu). This witness itself is sufficient if you keep in mind the hadith of Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) where he said "Awwalona Muhammad, Ausatona Muhammad, Aakhirona Muhammad, Kullona Muhammad" and the phrase of hadith e kisa where it is said "Innahum minni wa ana minhum". Why insisting to recite "Aliyun waliullah" in tashahud brother while you know very well that we recite durood in our qunoot, in ruku, in sujood and in tashahud and our durood is not the "abtar", we recite the complete durood which include "Aal-e-Muhammad" too. Why it becomes a matter of interest for you while you know the hadith where Imam (عليه السلام) has said that two testimonies are sufficient and doesn't invalidate the prayers?
  2. You need to wait, if you have irresistible doubts and lack of knowledge and conviction. You will be given the conviction in the end even if you failed to attain it through the faculties granted to you by the Lord of the worlds. Our creation and the creation of this whole world is not done for a game. Its other matter that its we who make it and treat it as game. وَذَرِ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَهُمْ لَعِبًا وَلَهْوًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَذَكِّرْ بِهِ أَنْ تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ وَإِنْ تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍ لَا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَا ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُوا بِمَا كَسَبُوا ۖ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ {70} [Shakir 6:70] And leave those who have taken their religion for a play and an idle sport, and whom this world's life has deceived, and remind (them) thereby lest a soul should be given up to destruction for what it has earned; it shall not have besides Allah any guardian nor an intercessor, and if it should seek to give every compensation, it shall not be accepted from it; these are they who shall be given up to destruction for what they earned; they shall have a drink of boiling water and a painful chastisement because they disbelieved.
  3. Is it ok for any Sunni to break fast with Shias? As for Shia point, it is clearly in accordance with Qur'an.
  4. Do whatever you like for yourself brother. But my brotherly advise to you is not to debate on this matter and never try to convince that it is a part of salah.
  5. Yes you really don't need to quote from any books, my brother. This is not the debate on wilayat of Imam Ali (عليه السلام). He is our mowla, waliullah, hujjatullah etc. There is no dispute on third testimony, all of us recite this testimony. But in tashahud, we don't have any sahih hadith nor we have any historical evidence that Propphet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) or any of our Imam has recited it in salah (tasahud).
  6. Directly addressing Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) without witnessing the touheed, Abdiyyat of Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is absent and then there is no mention of even the wilayat. how can you take this hadith as a supportive document!
  7. We are not discussing the wilayat brother. We are discussing the issue of reciting this testimony in tashahud. This is the reason why I was saying it as "disputed issue". Which hadith should we accept. Lets see for a while another hadith referred by shiavault: Is it look ok to you? I am doubtful about this hadith because it only mentions Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) as best messenger, while omitting the most beloved title of Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) I.e. "Abd". I suggest you to see its Arabic text.
  8. Brother! Can we behave respectfully with each other while discussing an issue which seems to be a disputed one? As per Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام), two testimonies in tashahud are acceptable and they doesn't invalidate the prayers.
  9. Salamun Alaikum Brother! Please do not take me wrong as I am not the one who recite the third testimony in tashahud. I just want to answer this question of yours, the base of Aliun Waliullah is present all over in the Qur'an. 10:62 Here the plural form of "Wali" is used, and as per a hadith of Amirul Mo'mineen, 12 Imams are the "Awliya Allah" and also those who follow them sincerely. Apart from that, it is quite easy to prove that Imam Ali (عليه السلام) is "Waliullah" as per the verse 5:55. Wassalam.
  10. I am sorry brother if any comment of mine gave you the impression that I have not studied your responses on this thread.
  11. No Shia can ever deny the status of Amirul Mo'mineen (عليه السلام), he is indeed waliullah and wasi e rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Every Shia recites the third testimony in kalima. For tashahud, we don't have any authentic hadith or tradition or historical proof that Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) or any Imam (عليه السلام) have recited it in their prayers. Do you have any evidence brother?
  12. I don't know why some of our brothers insist on "saying". The concept of a true mo'min is so clear that he understands ba e bismillah, allathina an'amta alaihim of Al Fatiha.
  13. Dropping any practice itself evidence that you are not satisfied with the answers you received for your questions. Or are you still looking for answers to your questions?
  14. Sura e Naba is another example as Naba'il Azeem is the wilayah of Amirul Mo'mineen.
  15. @Propaganda_of_the_Deed brother perhaps you have dropped what you understood as "wrong practices" of Shias Is it the case?
  16. There is a surah which is famous among scholars as Sura Hussain ibn Ali (عليه السلام) I.e., Sura e Wal Fajr. Al Adiyyat also mentions the horse of Imam Ali (عليه السلام) Sura e Wal Asr, Sura e Qadr etc are other examples.
  17. فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُبِينٍ {79} [Shakir 15:79] So We inflicted retribution on them, and they are both, indeed, on an open road (still) pursued. Keeping in view the above verse and few others too, such claim do seems exaggerated.
  18. Never criticized anyone's right to question brother. I already made it clear that my critics were directed towards those "humans" who try to obscure & try to make crooked, the right path and hence produce doubts in the hearts of fellow humans. @Mortadakerim has already mentioned that his reason to question in OP.
  19. In a verse, you will find that Imam means highway In another verse, you will find Imam means record. One meaning of Imam is leader, it has limitations and difference in meaning when you select the Imam of Jama'h at any mosque. The One's who are appointed by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) as Imams, are the Khalifatullah, Hujjatullah on Earth.
  20. I was talking about those humans who try to obscure the truth and try to make crooked the straight path. The result of their efforts is your confusion. Imamah has many meanings including leader. Imamah itself is a divine covenant as per 2:124, Imams are the Rasikhoona fil ilm and Imams are the Ulil Amr.
  21. وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ {110} [Shakir 6:110] And We will turn their hearts and their sights, even as they did not believe in it the first time, and We will leave them in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَاطِينَ الْإِنْسِ وَالْجِنِّ يُوحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَوْلِ غُرُورًا ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ {112} [Shakir 6:112] And thus did We make for every Prophet an enemy, the Shaitans from among men and jinn, some of them suggesting to others varnished falsehood to deceive (them), and had your Lord pleased they would not have done it, therefore leave them and that which they forge. These two verses must be kept in view to understand the verse you quoted I.e., 111, otherwise you would not understand what is meant by "Yajhaloon"
  22. Everyone of us is giving the test, even the chosen ones from Prophets and Imams too are giving the test. The reason behind is this is our promises, the trust, the responsibilities and capabilities each and everyone of us have received:
  23. وَإِذِ ابْتَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا ۖ قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ 2:124 What is this عَهْدِي (covenant) Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is talking about? Lets see this عَهْدِي in another place: لَا يَمْلِكُونَ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّخَذَ عِنْدَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا 19:87)They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah. I don't know why humans try to obscure and try to make crooked the straight path!!
  24. I know what would be their response to your question. Most likely, they will say this to you: إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرًا
  25. We really need to put a serious check on what we are asking. Because the One from whom we are asking is "Qadir-e-Mutlaq", He is capable of fulfilling our askings. Asking anything wrong could become a serious trouble. And here is the example from Qur'an: Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 200: فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُم مَّنَاسِكَكُمْ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَذِكْرِكُمْ آبَاءَكُمْ أَوْ أَشَدَّ ذِكْرًا فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ So when you have performed your devotions, then laud Allah as you lauded your fathers, rather a greater lauding. But there are some people who say, Our Lord! give us in the world, and they shall have no resting place. (English - Shakir) It is not unfair to ask that but it do show that you're unaware of basics. There are maratib, darajat in place and there is divine will. Once you successfully enforce His desires on yourself to the extent that your own desires becomes extinct and whayever left is His desires, you will feel something new in yourself. Everything would start reflecting the one & only truth. May Almighty Lord guide us all, pour patience upon us and grant us the steadfastness.
