    Ignorance and Perfection

Ayyashi reports that according to Imam Musa bin Jafar al Kazim, Imam Ali, while explaining verse 43 of al Rad, said: The book, mentioned in this verse, knowledge of which is stated to be with the witness who testifies to the prophethood of the Holy Prophet along with Allah; and the book, mentioned in verse 12 of Ya Sin, containing all things, which has been confined in a manifest or declared Imam, is the same clear book mentioned in verse 59 of An-am. It means that the witness, who has the knowledge of the book is the imamum mubin and knows everything in the universe, is endowed with the divine wisdom and is chosen by Allah. Ignorance and Perfection

I believe in the words of Prophet (S) as he said "ana madintul ilm" (I am the city of knowledge). Every city has certain boundaries/limits, but how big is the city of knowledge, I can only wonder about it! Only Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) knows the vastness of the city of knowledge. Taught man what he knew not. (English - Shakir) Neither I know how much He has taught and what are the limits of "ma lam ya'lam". What I know for sure is that He has taught the Qur'an: Surah Al-Rahman, Verse 2: عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ Taught the Qur'an. (English - Shakir) And Qur'an do contain knowledge of everything: Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 59: And with Him are the keys of the unseen treasures-- none knows them but He; and He knows what is in the land and the sea, and there falls not a leaf but He knows it, nor a grain in the darkness of the Earth, nor anything green nor dry but (it is all) in a clear book. And there is no animal in the Earth but on Allah is the sustenance of it, and He knows its resting place and its depository all (things) are in a manifest book. And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the Earth but it is in a clear book. (English - Shakir) And there are many more verses too. Are there books other than Qur'an too? Like Qur'an uses terms like "ummul kitab" & "kitabin maknoon". Are these books something other than Qur'an? What is interesting is that there is at least somrone other than Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) & Prophet (S) who have been mentioned as witness in the last verse of chapter 13 and who has "ilmul kitab". And those who disbelieve say: You are not a messenger. Say: Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you and whoever has knowledge of the Book. (English - Shakir) We do know "wa man indahu ilmul kitab" as well as "imamin mubeen" of the following verse: Surah Ya Seen, Verse 12: إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. (English - Shakir)

Sermon of Fadak - is it reliable?

http://www.en.Islamic-sources.com/download/E-Books/History/Tragedy-of-Al-Zahra-(as)-Doubts-Cast-and-Rebuttals.pdf https://www.al-Islam.org/tragedy-al-Zahra-doubts-and-responses-jafar-murtadha-al-amili/part-4-what-al-mufid-says#khutba-Fatima-al-Zahra-sa-demanding-Fadak This is written by Ayatullah Jafar Murtada Al-Amili. @ShiaMan14, is there any sort of war going on between the Ayatullahs on Islamic history?

Sermon of Fadak - is it reliable?

Being a common man, I would just say that if the sermon available with us in our history books, a genuine one and are the words of Syeda Fatima (s.a), may Almighty Lord grant best reward for those who have preserved her blessed & pure words. If it is a fabrication, everyone knows what the fabricator would have earned by that. I also want to point out to everyone that at grass root level, the love of Syeda Fatima (s.a) in our hearts is independent of what historical records suggest and what opinion any scholar holds about any specific historical event.

Sermon of Fadak - is it reliable?

This is the problem here on Shiachat. I wouldn't say it a tough choice. It is however a choice of selecting person certified as aadil by Islamic semenary and known as aadil in the world or a random internet guy.

    Ignorance and Perfection

    I agree with the explanation

    Ignorance and Perfection

I am talking about one specific case mentioned in the OP. It is not that difficult to understand that there was no threat to the life of Imam Ali (asws) when Prophet (S) handing over to him the "amanaat" and asking him to return them back to their owners and commanding to meet with him in Yathrab. If Prophet (S) would be unsure about the life of Imam Ali ((عليه السلام)), he would not hand over him the trusts rather he would prefer to handover them to owners himself. On the other hand, this duty/responsibility itself would become a gladtiding for Imam Ali (asws).

    Ignorance and Perfection

I don't think it was called "igorance" while Prophet (S)) was already informed by plans of mushrikeen. He not only shared the details with Imam Ali (asws), ordered him to sleep on his bed & also asked Imam Ali (asws) to restore all the deposits of the pagans to their owners, and then to leave Makkah and to meet him in Yathrib. So how it is a case of ignorance?
  9. This "given by us" is not present in the Arabic text of the verse. It ends on "fanfuthu la tanfuthuna illa besultan" (then go, you cannot but with power). This blessed verse also mentioning the gravity against which we need the power (sultan).

    How to strengthen your Iman

وَإِذَا مَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَٰذِهِ إِيمَانًا ۚ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَزَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَهُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ {124} [Shakir 9:124] And whenever a chapter is revealed, there are some of them who say: Which of you has it strengthened in faith? Then as for those who believe, it strengthens them in faith and they rejoice. Thaqalain (Qur'an & Ahlul Bayt asws) is the thing which can strengthen our emaan. إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُهُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ {2} [Shakir 8:2] Those only are believers whose hearts become full of fear when Allah is mentioned, and when His communications are recited to them they increase them in faith, and in their Lord do they trust.
  11. There can be many different angles of viewing. Some times it is realized that we and God are two different things and some times it is realized that we actually are nothing and there is only He. For instance, God is mentioned as 4th in a verse where secret counsil between 3 persons is mentioned: Surah Al-Mujadila, Verse 7: Do you not see that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the Earth? Nowhere is there a secret counsel between three persons but He is the fourth of them, nor (between) five but He is the sixth of them, nor less than that nor more but He is with them wheresoever they are; then He will inform them of what they did on the day of resurrection: surely Allah is Cognizant of all things. (English - Shakir) I emphasize on phrase "wala adna min thalika wala akthar" (nor less than that nor more). So we are not Him clearly. Then when we say a phrase "la howla wala quwata illa billah", we negate everything other than Him. It is the denial of one's possession of autonomous power and ability, and the simultaneous confession of the existence of that (relative) power and ability to make choices that He has given His servants to be their own.
  12. Jesus ((عليه السلام)) mentioned as LAMB or as LAMP?
  13. Are there anythings among His creation for whom He has used the phrase "Noor Allah" (Light of Allah)?
  14. Laitha kamithlehe shay (Like Him there is nothing). مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ a likeness of His light is as a niche in which is a lamp What is the lamp? Are there among His creations things which emits their own light? Granted to them by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) as He alone is the source of all light.
