    Oh Believers,
The signs of God are clear,
Among the youth are the blessed ones,
Purified by their manners and humility to the elders saying,
''We serve you until the Day be reached when justice prevails over the tyrants.''

Among the youth are the pityful ones,
Led astray by their masters who left them to be absent from piety,
''Uff to you, unleash thy swords until either of us remain decisive over the other.''

    And He is All-Knowing, Merciful.

    Salaam Aleikum,
We are right now living the current time where the Qur'an verse describe it following:
And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.
Now Muslims are turning away from religion in masses. This is the time where our heart have become hard by following our desires and thus turning away from religion. This is the time where most of the people are going to drown and only few of them will hold on the ark of Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام). Be very careful of your duties about Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and don't take them lightly because it is so easy to follow the wicked paths that are all around us. This is the time where people will be leaded with corrupted groups and leaders as a punishment of them disobeying Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى).

Kazemi reacted to Abu Hadi in Marijuana(Weed) Muslim FAQ
    Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Rahim
In The Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

    Q: Is Marijuana Haram ?
    A: Yes.
Q: Haram, according to every marjaa'
    A: Yes.
    Q: Why ?
A: Marijuana is an intoxicant. As per famous hadith from Prophet Muhammad(p.b.u.h) accepted by all muslims 'Any substance that intoxicates is 'khimr'(wine). This means that all intoxicants are equivalent to wine in their prohibition, as wine is explicitly made haram in the Holy Quran.
Q: It is natural, it is just a plant, how can it be haram ?
A: It is not the plant that is haram. The plant has other uses such as making rope, paper, etc. Those things are not haram. It is when the plant is made into an intoxicant and used by the person in order to get intoxicated that it becomes haram.
Cocaine (a substance that is obviously haram) is made from the Coca leaf, which is a plant, natural substance. The Coca leaf is not haram, only when this plant is made into the intoxicant, then the intoxicant becomes haram. Same with the poppy and heroin. Also, wine is made from grapes. Grapes are not haram, even to eat or drink grape juice. It is only when grapes are distilled(by the process of anaerobic respiration for all you science nerds) and made into wine that the grapes become haram and najis.
Q: Weed doesn't have any bad effects on me. I just smoke a joint, then play some video games and fall asleep, how can that be haram ?
A: There are two parts to this. First, the rules are made for the society and not for individuals. It is only Allah(s.w.a) who can judge whether the net harm to society is greater than the benefit. Every thing, even intoxicants, and even alcohol has harms and benefits associated with it. Even the Quran says this. In order to determine the net effect of a thing on society you must get the sum total of all benefits of that thing minus the sum total of all harm cause by that thing to get the net effect or result on society.
Total benefit - Total harm = net effect (either harm or benefit)
If net effect is negative, then over time, this thing will effect society in a negative way. Just like if you keep withdrawing more money from your bank account than you put in it, you balance will go into negative, and keep going into negative until you become bankrupt or the bank closes your account. In the case of society, if the net harms are greater than the net benefits being accrued to a society, that society will eventually collapse, with great harm being done to the people in the process.
This also works on the individual level. If the sum total of your activities are harming you more than benefitting you, you will eventually die, either physical death, spiritual death or both.
It is only Allah(s.w.a) who can know what are the total benefits and the total harms, both to the individual and society. People don't have this knowledge. They only see the small pictures(the microscopic picture, actually), i.e. how they perceive a thing as harmful or beneficial to them at the moment they are doing it. It is only their perception of a thing, i.e. the information that they have based on their senses, their thoughts, and opinions. There is a lot more dimensions to a thing or an act than what they can see or the knowledge that they have.
Second, the effects something has on a person can change. How something effects you today, when you are safe, secure, and happy may be different than how it affects you in a more vulnerable physical or psychological state. Also, a substance can effect you in ways in which you are not aware. For example, when you smoke marijuana, the main active ingredient in marijuana (a chemical known by the acronym 'thc', or the scientific name tetrahydrocannabinol, there are more, actually 60 active ingredients) builds up in your brain and can have affects in the future which you cannot anticipate.
Q: I have a prescription for marijuana from a doctor. Is it still haram
A: It may or may not be. Many years of medical research has shown that marijuana has very little effectiveness as a therapeutic substance, except in very specific situations, such as a child who has terminal cancer and is getting thin as a result of effects of chemotherapy and loss of appetite. If you are in that very specific situation, then you should consult your marjaa'. Marijuana prescriptions for general condition like 'back pain', etc, are not shown to be medically effective so those types of prescriptions are probably haram.
Q: If marijuana is so bad, i.e. haram, then why is it legal in many countries and also in many states in the US.
A: Countries, such as the US / European countries, have a different way of measuring harm vs benefit compared to Islam. Those countries look at economic benefit to them and also political benefit to them (the government)  as the main criteria they use when deciding whether something is legal or illegal. If marijuana becomes legal, then they can collect taxes on the sale of it, and get a high tax rate for it(like they currently do with alcohol sales). This will benefit the government and make their rule and their power stronger. In this case, and many other cases, these governments make laws which benefit them(the government) and not the people.
If you want other examples, there are many examples. In most of these countries, alcohol is also legal, and we know it is haram. Adultery is also legal and we know that's haram. Gay Marriage is also legal, and we know that's haram. The point is they make laws based on a different value system(i.e. what benefits them as a government, not what benefits society in general), one that Islam does not accept. Islam came to benefit society, the whole society, not just a subgroup within the society. So if you want to make rules that benefit the whole society, obviously the rules are going to be different vs. rules that are made by a group to benefit themselves only.
