  1. It's usually not just Depression/Anxiety. It would be better to have a talk with your psychiatrist and find out exactly what the issue is. I thought I had Depression/Anxiety for 5 years, turned it was something else. When you know what you have, life gets easier to understand. May Allah guide you.
  2. I wish you good luck. They are giving you an anesthetic right?
  3. I know this an old topic but the "Shia" person who started this thread VeniVidiVici is obviously a liar and a trouble maker who wants to cause a stir on this site. For "She" posted 3 times in 2009 and left so I doubt this person is a "Shia Muslim" like they claim. They can't even spell Britain properly, the country they supposedly live in. In any matter, What book of Allah are you talking about? The book of Allah is the Quran. And nowhere in the Quran does it say to have sexual intercourse anally. And Abu al-Hassan al-Kharaqani is a Sufi, and I have a hard time trusting Sufi's if I am completely honest with you, maybe I'll change my mind one day, who knows. But for now I don't. And I certainly don't trust you.
  4. He doesn't need us. We need him. We're lucky to even be alive. If it wasn't for Allah, you wouldn't be here asking why we need Allah. He created us from absolute nothing to give us a chance to become purified enough to get close to Him and to stay close to Him in His heaven. We're lucky to even be given a chance, let alone worship him.
  5. I do not know exactly. All I know is that Allah mentions in the Quran that he scattered many beasts on earth and created mountains so the earth wouldn't shake. I would imagine it was before the time of Adam when the earth was not inhabited by humans.
  6. Time Travel without a doubt. 7. Salam. You seem confused so I'll explain them to you simply one by one and the reasons behind them. So, lets start with chest beating. Dr Sayed Ammar Nakshawani thoroughly explains that chest beating is a part of our religion. It is in our books of Ahlul Sunnah, that the method of grief used by the family of Rasul Allah and the wives of Rasul Allah was to beat themselves on their chest and to slap their cheeks. Aisha narrated that she and the women in her home started to beat their chests and slap their cheeks when they heard Rasul Allah died. It was a natural expression of grief. Also, Bebe Zainab on the night of the tenth of Muharram, started beating her chest and slapping her cheek when she found Imam Hussains (A.S) body on the ground in the battle of Karbala due to his chest being trampled by the enemies horses. So when we beat our chests we are remembering Imam Hussain (A.S). Now, slapping ourselves with a chain, what does this remind us of and why do we do it? This reminds us of the granddaughters of Rasul Allah and how they were whipped with sharp chains after Karbala, so much that when they were buried they had blue marks on their face and under their eyes and became ill due to the hard lashes on their backs. So when we hit our backs with chains we are remembering the chains on the backs of Rasul Allah's granddaughters. So it is a cultural expression of remembrance of Karbala. Now, what about slashing our heads with the swords. That is to remember how Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (A.S) was killed in the Mosque of Kufa in Iraq with a sword that struck his head, so some people decide to strike their head with a sword. However, getting the children involved against their will is disgusting and not a part of the Shia Islam Doctrine or the Islamic religion as a whole. So most of us Shia, do not participate in that and try to refrain from it as much as we can.
  8. It is very strange how in the stone age, we were at the "bottom of the food chain", but we were much tougher physically than most animals, I mean.. our species would brutally kill a mammoth or a hungry saber tooth tiger with just a rock. Now, we are at the "top of the food chain", and we can barely protect ourselves from an average sized dog. I do not want to use the word pathetic but.. our ancestors would not take us seriously.
  9. Hard one. But I would choose Sinbad because of the nostalgia and rawness.
  10. Aladdin. Snow White and the seven dwarfs. Lion King. Sinbad. Pinocchio. Monsters INC. Toy Story 1-2. Many I loved.
