  1. well I am sorry if you think I went too far, but atleast this discussion gave me the answers I was looking for.
  2. I did not by any means intend to disrespect the holy prophet , I just wanted to clear up my confusion on this topic.
  3. ok you've got me here brother. I dont think I can argue against you any further. well done!
  4. if the holy prophet is intending to do something good, he won't let any status or power get in the way of his decision. so if the holy prophet wanted to reject abu bakr for good reasons, he would've done it regardless of how respected and powerful abu bakr was.
  5. the marriage between the holy prophet and aisha actually had a more negative impact on islam than positive, because aisha was the one who fought against ali ibn. abi talib and abu bakr sent umar to invade lady fatima's house, which lead to her miscarriage.
  6. apologies, but even if it was halal for abu bakr to marry lady fatima, the holy prophet would have never accepted his proposal in the first place.
  7. I think what people class as 'shaytaan whisperings' are actually our brains just thinking and contemplating....
  8. marriage for political reasons? CAN someone marry just for political reasons?
  9. im not saying our holy prophet (pbuh) should have married perfect women, but rather women who had good ikhlaq and good morals. people like these can be found anywhere, and at any period of time.
  10. so how big of a role does shaytaan play in our commitment of sins? because if shaytaan MAKES us sin, then we should not be punished by Allah at all , otherwise it would be very unfair.
  11. and nor is he deriving any hatred from these thoughts...
  12. we need to take full responsibility for our actions, and not blame shaytan. because WE get judged on the day of resuruction and WE get rewards/punishments for our deeds, not shaytaan.
  13. but islam always tells its followers to marry someone for their ikhlaq and piety...? why would our prophet and imams compromise on these two?
