  1. THE SAHABA KNEW OF IMAM ALI'S SUCCESSION TO THE PROPHET!Those who oppose the Shia repeatedly argue that the belief in Imam Ali (peace be upon him) succeeding the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) is a belief which was created later in history by a Jewish man, known as Abdullah bin Saba.Little do they read of their own most prominent books of Hadith - which they regard to be their most authentic collections of reports. For if they had delved into their very own Hadith books, they would know that this idea of Imam Ali's succession was something which was known amongst the people. watch the video
  2. On Wednesday afternoon, Londoners witnessed a cowardly terrorist attack in the heart of our capital, at the hands of "Islamist" extremism, yet again. Us, at Rafida, were not surprised that the perpetrator of the Westminster attack was found to be a radicalised, British-born man, named Khalid Masood. On behalf of the Shia Muslim community, we once again reiterate the change in approach we all must take in tackling this terrorist ideology, we are seeing unravel itself here at home. We must open the door for revisiting and re-evaluating those individuals these same terrorists take as role-models; for instance, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Quhafa, Umar ibn Al-Khattab, Aisha bint Abi Bakr, or Khalid ibn Al-Walid, whom the Westminster terrorist was even named after! Khalid ibn Al-Walid was, in fact, the individual who said, "We are a people who drink blood, and the sweetest of blood is that of the Romans (i.e. the Europeans)." And today, there is not a single "Sunni" Muslim who does not revere this Khalid ibn Al-Walid. Surely, there must be a correlation here. We call on all non-Muslims to support us in looking into and exposing the villainous, founding-fathers of the ISIS ideology, namely those who forced themselves into power after Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family)'s demise. And we call on all Muslims to return back to the teachings of the Holy Prophet, and his immaculate family members, who preserved the true teachings of the religion, and we call on you to leave those who corrupted and distorted the religion of Islam. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the Westminster attack, and we are sure that the British people will stand firmly in the face of those who wish to harm us. Shia Islam is innocent from such barbarism in the name of religion, as we categorically condemn and disassociate ourselves from such aforementioned historical individuals, and all terroristic teachings found in "Sunni" literature.
  3. A top UN official says "crimes against humanity" are being committed by the military and police against Myanmar's Rohingya Muslim minority. The UN's special rapporteur for human rights in Myanmar, Yanghee Lee, was speaking as part of a joint media news.Aung San SuuKyi, who has been in power almost a year, declined an interview.A spokesman for her party said the allegations were "exaggerated" and an "internal" not "international" issue.Ms Lee has not been given free access to the conflict area in Myanmar. But after speaking to refugees in Bangladesh she told media that the situation was "far worse" than she expected.More than 70,000 Rohingya - a Muslim minority group from Myanmar - have fled to Bangladesh in the last few months, after a militant attack in October triggered a military crackdown.
  4. United Nations Secretary-General AntónioGuterres has condemned the terrorist bombings in the Syrian capital of Damascus yesterday, his spokesman said today.“The Secretary-General is appalled by the utter disregard for human life displayed by the perpetrators, and extends his deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims, many of whom were pilgrims,” said FarhanHaq, Deputy Spokesman for the Secretary-General, in a statement issued today.“Those responsible for the bombings, and anyone carrying out attacks against civilians, must be held accountable,” he added.According to media reports, twin blasts killed at least 40 people Saturday near holy shrines frequently visited by Shias.
