Ending your life by any means is highly condemnable act in Islam.
Never ever think of such height of stupidity.
Always try to engage yourself with good things and people. Try to have good friends in family as well as outside so that you can come out of depression if you have of any type.

In Quran, there are many verses which speaks about infallibility of Prophet PBUHHP.
    1. O prophet! verily you are on the highest standards of morality. (highest standard of morality is the point where there remains no question or doubt and morals become perfect).
    2. There is also another verse where Allah AWJ says in Quran that says that Prophet and his Ahlebait a purified with a thorough purification. (A thorough purification is through perfection of knowledge about acts and deeds).
    3. Quran says: "Do not follow a sinner or an ungrateful person". (Sinner or ungrateful person is one who has remained ignorant in his life and How could God choose ignorant persons for leading us while He himself says that do not follow a sinner or an ungrateful person).
    4. When Moses a.s told Bani Israel to slaughter a cow, they said: "Are you kidding us ?". Moses replied: "I take refuge from God from being among the ignorant". So, one Prophet PBUHHP hold such views for ignorance, how could God choose another prophet who be ignorant and wrong-doer or sinner ?
    I think these are sufficient.

You raised a very valid question in this discussion thread. Though you used the term Imam in place of Caliph as most of Sunni Hadtih books including Sahih Muslim used the word caliph and not Imam in this hadith.
here are few excerpts from Sahih Muslim English version-
    Bk 20, Number 4476:
It has been narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah that the
Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: The Caliphate
will remain among the Quraish even if only two persons are
    left (on the earth),
    Bk 20, Number 4477:
It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir b. Samura who
said: I joined the company of the Holy Prophet (may peace be
upon him) with my father and I heard him say: This Caliphate
will not end until there have been twelve Caliphs among them.
The narrator said: Then he (the Holy Prophet) said something
that I could not follow. I said to my father: What did he say?
He said: He has said: All of them will be from the Quraish.
    Bk 20, Number 4478:
It has been reported on the authority of Jabir b. Samura who
said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)
say: The affairs of the people will continue to be conducted
(well) as long as they are governed by twelve men. Then the
Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him) said words which were
obscure to me. I asked my father: What did the Messenger of
Allah (may peace be upon him) say? He said: All of the (twelve
men) will be from the Quraish.
Majority of Sunni believe in righteousness of all companions of Prophet saww taking into account of very famous hadith among the Sunni that states that all the companions of Prophets saww are like shining star whomsoever you want you may follow and they will lead you to salvation and by that logic Muawiya lanatullah was a companion too. But we shia don’t believe in this hadith of Sunni because of the available facts that several companions of Prophet saww committed grave mistakes and wrongdoings in their lives and such people can’t be emulated for salvation.
As far as Yazid lanatullah is concerned, majority of Sunni abhor him and don't believe him among righteous caliphs apart from Wahabi/Salafi creed who believe in righteousness of drunkard Yazid lanatullah.
There is another hadith among Sunni that states there will be righteous caliphate for 30 years after the departure of Prophet saww from this world and it ended with caliphate of Imam Hasan as.
Problem is that there are contradictory hadiths in Sunni sources and they consider all those hadith Sahih.

    Dear Brother,
I am not saying we are completely not trying to prepare ourselves for Master of Time atfs. We are trying but with half heart. We really need to understand what is true Marefat.
All Prophet as and Imam as preached us to live with bare minimum and cautioned us from following the devil of desire. Whatever I have learned during my own study on the subject matter of Imam Mehdi atfs, he will lead a very simple life and will take oath from all of us to do same. Are we following this thing now?
Why not to start following those teachings in real life rather than just admiring how simple life our Imam atfs will lead even though he will be having full control over all the things by the grace of Allah.
I hope you understand what I want to say. We should try our best to detach from worldly desire.

Definite signs before reappearance of Imam atfs are below mentioned-
    Rising of Sufyani
    Rising of Yamani
Inhalation of  Sufyani's army at Baida'
Killing of Nafse Zakiya at Haram Shareef
Voice from sky with Name of Imam atfs and his father as
Apart from these definite OR ABSOLUTE signs rest of reported signs are not definite one.
Are we really ready for our Imam atfs that is bigger question- though it looks that most of the indefinite signs preceding to reappearance?
Today we are too much involved in worldly affairs. We are not making ourselves ready for Imam that is my personal opinion.

Salam. Welcome to Islam. In 1959, Shaikh Mahmood Shaltoot, may Allah bless his soul, the head of the Al-Azhar Theological School in Egypt, made his famous fatwa that Islam does not require a Muslim to follow a particular Madh’hab (school of thought) and the Shia Madh’hab is a school of thought that is correct.
Shaikh Shaltoot’s declaration:   Head Office of al-Azhar University:   In the name of Allah, the Benefient, the Merciful Text of the Verdict (Fatwa) Issued by His Excellency Shaikh al-Akbar Mahmood Shaltoot, Head of the al-Azhar University, on Permissibility of Following "al-Shi’a al- Imamiyyah” School of Thought   His Excellency was asked:   Some believe that, for a Muslim to have religiously correct worship and dealing, it is necessary to follow one of the four known schools of thought, whereas, "al-Shi’a al-Imamiyyah”school of thought is not one of them nor "al-Shi’a al-Zaidiyyah.”Do your Excellency agree with this opinion, and prohibit following "al-Shi’a al-Imamiyyah al-Ithna Ashariyyah”school of thought, for example?   His Excellency replied:   1) Islam does not require a Muslim to follow a particular Madh’hab (school of thought). Rather, we say: every Muslim has the right to follow one of the schools of thought which has been correctly narrated and its verdicts have been compiled in its books. And, everyone who is following such Madhahib (schools of thought) can transfer to another school, and there shall be no crime on him for doing so.   2) The Ja’fari school of thought, which is also known as "al-Shi’a al- Imamiyyah al-Ithna Ashariyyah”(i.e., The Twelver Imami Shi’ites) is a school of thought that is religiously correct to follow in worship as are other Sunni schools of thought.   Muslims must know this, and ought to refrain from unjust prejudice to any particular school of thought, since the religion of Allah and His Divine Law (Shari’ah) was never restricted to a particular school of thought. Their jurists (Mujtahidoon) are accepted by Almighty Allah, and it is permissible to the "non-Mujtahid”to follow them and to accord with their teaching whether in worship (Ibadaat) or transactions (Mu’amilaat).   Signed,   Mahmood Shaltoot.   Original images in Arabic and English are at the source:  https://www.al-islam.org/shiite-encyclopedia-ahlul-bayt-dilp-team/al-azhar-verdict-on-shia

    For God Sake,
stop using bad words and maligning other ulema.
Are we real shia i.e. followers of ahlebait as? We need to ponder over the subject. With every passing day, people are becoming restless and not ready to have meaningful debates instead they are more interested in maligning the image of others. This is TRUE for all the groups Usuli/Akhbari/Malangi etc
Having faith on any particular Marja is not part of Iman and we common folk start behaving with followers of other Marja or thought process as others are infidels.
    This nonsense must be stopped.
Different cultures have different ways of living and we should stop condemning each and everything.
It is just like wahabism where everything not fitting in their thought process are bida't.
