  1. Salam. I lived in Karachi, Pakistan for a year and one thing I can tell you for sure is that if your family is traditional and follow their culture strictly, the freedoms you get here in the West won’t be given to you in Pakistan. I could never imagine going out there on my own for coffee or even for a walk because people will talk about you a lot and your family over there probably won’t be okay with it either. However, if your family is a little bit more understanding and open-minded to a woman going out on her own, working etc. then it may not be such a big issue for you. It depends where you live. If you live in the village areas, people tend to be more cultural and strict, whereas if you live in the city, people might be somewhat more lenient and not as close-minded.

  3. Didn't think the news of the attack on Baghdad would hit me this hard. :'( They went to buy clothes for Eid.. And now they go buy coffins for their beloveds. :'( Ya Saheb Al Zaman(as) where are you??
  4. Lol how evil. ^^ You had to mention all those good foods while I'm fasting
  5. Innocent Iraqi civilians killed. Why? Only because they were lovers of Ali(as). :'(
  6. Lol it really bugs me how the all scholars say different timings for Eid. Back when I used to live in Dubai, we didn't know it was Eid until 12 in the afternoon because Khamenei and Sistani both gave different dates. So we just fasted instead, and we had to break our fast when we found out lol because it's haram to fast on Eid.
  7. Yes and Umar even says that he never doubted the Prophethood of RasoolAllah(saw) as much as he did on Hudaibiyah.
  8. "Remember me when the truth becomes alone..alone and sad." -Imam Hussain(ع) :(

  9. No they won't because the attack didn't happen on whites. (: Rather they're blaming Islam for the attack(as always) and not ISIS. Such ignorants.
  10. UPDATE: Death toll rises up to 120. Leaving more than 200 people injured. https://www.google.ca/amp/mobile.nytimes.com/2016/07/04/world/middleeast/baghdad-bombings.amp.html?client=safari# Ya Allah :'(
  11. This is so heartbreaking :'( May Allah swt protect the people of Iraq.
  12. La fata illa Ali(as), La saif illa zulfiqar. ❤️

  13. I guess it's harder for the ones who've moved to the West in later years of their life. I moved here 2 years ago, and I can never seem to integrate. It's completely different coming from a Muslim country, where everyone's practicing Islam and then suddenly moving to the West and living with the Western culture. I know living in the West has it's own benefits and freedom, and it might even be better than most of the Muslim countries today, but it is quite challenging to live here as a Muslim. I've seen many who apostated after moving to the West because they found Islam to be too 'conservative'.
