  1. There are some types of ruling in Islam: some of them belong to a specific group of people like women, men etc while others are not so. For example the rulings of menstruation is specially for women. Drinking alcohol is one of the Islamic laws which is not belong to men or women so it is forbidden for all Muslims.
  2. According to Islamic laws, fishes which have the conditions below are halal while other are haram: Fish that have scales are the only type of halal sea creatures. Other sea creatures and fish are haram, except for shrimps which are halal. The fish must die out of water, so if a halal fish dies within the water it is haram. Here is a list of halal and haram fishes:
  3. Salam Alaikom As my brother La fata illa Ali said, we have 2 kinds of ghusl which are Tartibi and Irtimasi. There is no difference between ghusls (Jinaba, mash mayet and...) and also there is no difference between men and women. the only difference is that women have some special ghusls but the way of ghusl is the same. moreover, there is a difference between the verdict (fatwa) of scholars about the long hair, some says that it is necessary to wash all the long hair even the roots, other says that it is not mandatory.
  4. Salam Alaikom Some of the recent and ancient scholars like: Seyed Kamal Alheidari, Ayatollah Jannaati and … believe that some of the rulings of Islam (like most of the punishments) belong to the time of the Prophet and Imams and they have to change to something else. For instance, they say that stoning is one of them, so we do not have to stone nowadays and instead, we have right to do some suitable punishments. They argue and claim that the goal of punishments is preventing people from sins. So because the culture of people in that ages, was somehow that nothing could prevent them from committing sins and …, except rough and agrestic punishments. But nowadays, the culture and feelings of people have completely changed, so we have to do some suitable punishments.
  5. Brother Abuhashem Salam Alaikom Maybe you have not pay attention to my writing very well. I did not say that we have not any type of Jihad in Islam, but I said that we do not have the first type of Jihad (Initial war). I described that the initial war is to attack infidels after calling them to Islam and rejecting it by them. You said that the war of Imam Hosein is an instance of it, but I say that it was not the initial war, because they (Yazid army) forced him to war and he did not want to fight them. So it is not the initial war but it was a defensive war. If you read the sentences of Imam Hosein from Mecca to Karbala, you will find that he says: I do not want to fight you so let me go somewhere far to live. The second answer is wrong as well. Because the type of force in both case (personal and social laws) is obligation by God and there is no sanction and guarantee for them. For example people are free to pray or not and nobody can do anything and also people are free to punish or not and nobody have right to rebuke. Moreover, if we accept that we are forced for social laws of Islam, but it is accepted only in a society or country that have Islamic government, and we do not have right to punish other Muslims in other countries.
The right of tongue is that you consider it too noble for obscenity, accustom it to good deeds and goodness and teach it good manners and respectfulness. Moreover, only use tongue when there is a worldly or otherworldly need or benefit and refrain it from further words that not only are not useful, but maybe are harmful. The tongue is a witness and a sign of intellect and wisdom and the adornment of wise man is his wisdom and beauty of conduct of him is in his tongue.
  7. Salam Alaikom According to the viewpoint of shia scholars, we have some kinds of war (Jihad) in Islam: Initial war (jihad Ebtedaee), defensive war and etc. Most of the ancient and earlier scholars say: Initial war is obligatory for infallible Imams and they have to do it once a year at least. They believe that this kind of war against infidels, is one of the duties of infallible Imams, but in the age of major occultation, this is not obligatory for scholars (Alrozat albahia, Shahid thani, book of Jihad). But there are some criticisms: 1. Most of the recent scholars reject such kind of war and they do not believe in it. 2. If we accept that, but the question is: why the Prophet Muhammad and Infallible Imams (pbut) did not do it during their life, specially The Prophet and Imam Ali, because they were ruler in their time. 3. Moreover, some nowadays scholars believe that some of the rulings of Islam belong to a specific time of the Imams. Someone said that Imam Mahdi will conquer the world after his appearance (Zohur). This is not a true believe about Imam Mahdi, because it means that he is a blood-thirsty and will kill lots of people. But, firstly he invites the people of the world to Islam sincerely and with kindness and wants to lead them to heaven, but some dictators and evil men start a war against him, so he fight with them. We have to remember that our Imams are the Imams of mercy.
  8. Salam brother/sister Imam sajjad (as) in a book named “Risalah Alhoghough” has mentioned the rights of people in this world and in hereafter. One of these rights is the Rights of Child: “وَ أَمَّا حَقُّ وَلَدِكَ فَتَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ مِنْكَ وَ مُضَافٌ إِلَيْكَ فِي عَاجِلِ الدُّنْيَا بِخَيْرِهِ وَ شَرِّهِ وَ أَنَّكَ مَسْئُولٌ عَمَّا وُلِّيتَهُ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْأَدَبِ وَ الدَّلَالَةِ عَلَى رَبِّهِ وَ الْمَعُونَةِ لَهُ عَلَى طَاعَتِهِ فِيكَ‏ وَ فِي نَفْسِهِ فَمُثَابٌ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَ مُعَاقَبٌ فَاعْمَلْ فِي أَمْرِهِ عَمَلَ الْمُتَزَيِّنِ بِحُسْنِ أَثَرِهِ عَلَيْهِ فِي عَاجِلِ الدُّنْيَا الْمُعَذِّرِ إِلَى رَبِّهِ فِيمَا بَيْنَكَ وَ بَيْنَهُ بِحُسْنِ الْقِيَامِ عَلَيْهِ وَ الْأَخْذِ لَهُ مِنْهُ وَ لا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ‏ “. The right of your child is that you should know that your child belongs to you and is from you and he is with you in this world with all his good and bad deeds. So you are responsible in teaching him good conducts, and leading and guiding him toward Allah and help him to obey him. So act towards his affairs the act of one who knows that he will be awarded for doing good to him and punished for doing evil to him. (Tohaf al oghoul, page 255)
  9. There are some ways: 1. Try to sleep sooner and do not eat so much in the night, it will help you to wake up easily, because there is a hadith that say: أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِذَا خَفَّ بَطْنُهُ: “when the stomach of a servant and believer is not full, he is in the nearer time to God” (Wasael alshia, v 24, p 239, hadith number 30431) And it is clear that when we are in the nearer time to God, we will be able to wake up for praying. 2. We have some traditions that say: If you want to wake up for morning prayer, recite the last verse of Kahf. Ayatoolah Bahjat: every one who pray his praying (all his prayer except the morning prayer) in the first time, God will wake him up for the morning prayer.
  10. salam sister You have to do something: 1. you have to repent and promise that never do it again. 2. Apologize from your husband and his family. 3. Find some wise and rational man (I emphasis on intellect) that your husband`s family trust on him/her and ask him/her to help you and speak with your family in low to solve the problem (I think someone like Prayer leader). 4. The last and the most important things is to rely on God.
  11. Salam alaikom The second right that Imam sajjad (as) mentions, is the rights of ourselves, he says: "وَ أَمَّا حَقُّ نَفْسِكَ عَلَيْكَ فَأَنْ تَسْتَوْفِيَهَا فِي طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ فَتُؤَدِّيَ إِلَى لِسَانِكَ حَقَّهُ وَ إِلَى سَمْعِكَ حَقَّهُ وَ إِلَى بَصَرِكَ حَقَّهُ وَ إِلَى يَدِكَ حَقَّهَا وَ إِلَى رِجْلِكَ حَقَّهَا وَ إِلَى بَطْنِكَ حَقَّهُ وَ إِلَى فَرْجِكَ حَقَّهُ وَ تَسْتَعِينَ بِاللَّهِ عَلَى ذَلِك" The right of yourself is to employ it in obeying Allah the almighty, so you have to fulfill and accomplish the rights of your tongue, ear, eye, hand, foot, stomach and pudendum (Farj) and you have to ask the help from Allah for this.

  13. Hi brother According to fatwa of all maraja except ayatollah Vahid, this is allowed if some of them are equal. For instance, a person can follow one marja in fasting , other one in praying and third one in marriage. This is in the separate issues and rulings. But in the rulings which are related to each other, if following two or more marja lead and result in invalidity (Botlan) or definite opposition, it is not allowed. For example, one person can`t follow a marja in impurity of body and clothing and follow another one in rulings of clothing of prayer. Ayatollah Vahid says that it is not allowed at all
  14. One of the most important things for living in the world is the rights of people. So every society and groups of people around the world` have legislated some rules and laws that one of the most important principle of them, is the mutual rights of people. One of the best complexes of rights, is called “Risala Al Hoghugh” by Ali Ibn Hosein (Imam Sajjad as) which includes 51 rights and begins with “The Rights of God” and ends with “The Rights of non-Muslim citizens” (Dhimmi). 1. The Rights of God The greater right of the God is to worship him and do not associate anything with him. If you do it with sincerity, The God has undertaken (guarantee) to suffices all aspects of your life in this world and hereafter and preserves all things you want.
