  1. Salaam

Was it you who sent me the live broadcast of the Nadal-Verdasco match?

It's coming on NOW on American television. I guess they dont show it live. US sucks!

  2. Salam The poster who suggested "its not practised in iran" was clearly making reference to the act of blood letting. It is a tragic sign of ignorance if you believe this video - which show cases a non blood letting practice that dominates ashura commemoration, be it in iran, karbala or elsewhere in the shia world - confirms the original posters erroneous suggestion that blood letting is widespread in either Iraq or Iran.
  3. Asalamu alaikum The issue of tawussul is very clear as the brother earlier pointed out. All sunnis and shia are agreed on this issue, only the salafy/wahabis object as they believe they know better than Allah. Many wahabis and other sects, these days, are trying to suggest that Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) or his Ahlulbayt a.s are not a mercy of Allah for universe today. Naoozoobillah, in their eyes the prophet pbuh and his Ahlulbayt a.s are a dead people like anyone else lying in graves of mud (Astaghfirullah). Actually they insult our beloved prophet (pbuh), his holy family (Ahlulbayt a.s) and Allah by passing such comments to promote the political aims of their rulers. Unfortunately, majority of the innocent people only follow, what a blind mulla says in his fiery non-academic speech. It becomes even sadder when you hear in the local wahabi controlled mosques and madrassas, nonsense promoted to insult, ridicule or diminish the authority, station and powers of our Holy Prophet pbuh, his Ahlulbayt a.s and other awliya e karaam. These mosques are being intentionally handed over to saudi funded and state sponsored wahabis/salafis who keep appearing under flavors of various fiqh but their main motive is the same (as explained above). Huge number of innocent people falls into this political trap without realising the plot that their own institutions are playing. An average innocent Muslim goes to the mosque or madrassa to pray, to seek hidayat etc but unfortunately is unaware of the politics controlling the very essence of the teachings that these so-called scholars are using to poison the minds of non aalim Muslims. Their purpose is to reduce your holy prophet pbuh to the status of an ordinary man and to get you rid of history, shrines, awliya and to make you bow before the corrupt saudi regime. These ignorant, paid mullahs use the pulpit for such treacherous purposes and the bewildered and innocent listener never asks the mullah questions for fear of getting fatwa of kufr in return. A wahabi said: Asking help from others is shirk. You must always ask Allah for help. This is written in Quran. Why do you say ya Ali or ya Rasool Allah madad? So he claims that asking for help to other than God is polytheism? Interesting. You should also then never go to a doctor because from your point of view this is polytheism (shirk)! as well. Going to a doctor is a type of seeking a help from a specialist. Even though they do not say by their tongue that they are getting help from the doctor, the rejectors of tawassul do go to them, don’t they? Quran says (Quran 28:15): "And he (Moses) went into the city at a time when people (of the city) were not watching, so he found therein two men fighting, one being of his friend and the other being his enemy, and the one who was of his friends cried out to him for help against on who was his enemy.” Now we shall look at what sunnis belive about wasila. Abdul Haq Muhadith Delhwi writes the following: According to the Ijma of the Ulema, to use the Wasila of the Holy Prophet"(sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) to gain assistance both verbally or physically is said to be confirmed to be desirable." (Jazbul Quloob) And to your point about Imam Ali a.s as not being alive, well you obviously havent read the verse: Think not of those who are martyred in the way of Allah as dead. Nay! They are living, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord." (Quran 3:169) Imam Ali and all the martyrs are alive as Quran clearly testifies, though they are not on this earth. Therefore, please do not treat them asdead. You must derive your rationale in accordance with orders of Allah. When ali is an indisputable martyr in Islam then why do you say that he is dead? Are you a rejector of Quran? In fact all of our Imams except Imam Mahdi were martyred either by sword or by poison. And Yes, the Holy Prophet pbuh and his ahlulbayt a.s are different but not finished, as some jews have claimed! They are totally different then us when they were on earth as well. They are pure and clean (Quran 33:33) from all Rijs (unclean, bad, sins, errors etc) but we ordinary humans are impure, unclean and prone to lots of errors and sins in life. If you persist that no they (ahlulbayt a.s) do not have a different life then us and that’s why they cannot help us, then you are wrong because if we look into the history of Islam and read Quranic stories about other prophets, we will find that even things which had a temporal or ordinary/immaterial connection with the prophets or awliya possessed miracles. We read in Quran 012.093: SHAKIR (translator): Take this, my shirt and cast it on my father's face, he will (again) be able to see, and come to me with all your families Now a shirt does not have any life at all so how can this make prophet Yaqoob a.s be able to recover from his blindness and see? Why did not Joseph ( a.s) (Hadrat Yousaf) only pray to Allah or give his father any medicine etc.. for curing his blindness? Also, if Allah's help alone was enough for Yaqoob a.s (father of Yousaf a.s) then why did Joseph make that shirt a wasila (connection) between Allah and Yaqoob A.S? When Allah does not like wasila and he has direct connection with us (as you wahabis claims) then why did he allow all this to happen between two prophets? We also read in Quran at 002.045 YUSUFALI(translator): Nay, seek (Allah's) help with patient perseverance and prayer: It is indeed hard, except to those who bring a lowly spirit The Prayers they we perform are also not human (i.e non living entity) and if we can use prayer (a non living entity) as a wasila or help to connect to Allah, then why have this hate or aversion towards seeking wasila/help of the Prophet pbuh or his ahlulbayt a.s who brought the scripture, its tafseer, the salat and other religious practices to Muslims? Also history attests that these people were like living breathing versions of Quran. Their piety, fazail and ilm are hojjat on this. Ofcourse its no surpirse the salafies/athiests get confused as they believe Allah to have physical attrbutes etc and thereby giving him distance and direction by indicating he sits on a throne etc. These jews are the ultimiate kufars! Allah is not a thing/person like us mortals. He is the lord, the creator and superior of All, the unmatchable one. the King of us unclean Humans. He is pure and clean. Exalted is Allah and who so dares, cannot approach his height and fineness of intelligence or vision comprehend him. He is such a First that there is no extremity for Him and that He be contained, nor is there an end for Him. Truly he is the Rabb ul Aalameen, of the seen and the unseen, the known and the unknown. To him only do we turn for worship and ibadat and he is ONE, indivisible, ever existing, without birth or death and without family. None can come close to him. 027.038: SHAKIR (translator): He said: O chiefs! Which of you can bring to me her throne before they come to me in submission? 027.039 SHAKIR(translator): One audacious among the jinn said: I will bring it to you before you rise up from your place; and most surely I am strong (and) trustworthy for it. 027.040 SHAKIR(translator): One who had the knowledge of the Book said: I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye. Then when he saw it settled beside him, he said: This is of the grace of my Lord that He may try me whether I am grateful or ungrateful; and whoever is grateful, he is grateful only for his own soul, and whoever is ungrateful, then surely my Lord is Self-sufficient, Honored. If asking help by the name of a human and making him wasila was shirk then prophet Suleman a.s would never do that which we read in Quranic verses above. When we say Ya Ali Madad, it does not means that we think Ali is a God (naoozoobillah) or some thing like that. Only Allah, alone is God and he is the One. Ali a.s is a servant of Muhammad pbuh and a creation of Allah. We use him as a wasila to Allah due to his position in the eyes of Allah and his messenger pbuh. Certainly if a jinn from Solomon's court can be wasila for a prophet then Ali deserves much more religious importance for reasons well known to all historians and scholars We have no direct connection with Allah in any guaranteed sense as some people like to suggest. Allah is different from the whole universe. He is unique, nothing is like him. Praise be to Allah. He is such that senses cannot perceive Him, places cannot contain Him, eyes cannot see Him and veils cannot cover Him. He proves His eternity by the coming into existence of His creation, and (also) by originating His creation (He proves), His existence, and by their (mutual) similarity He proves that there is nothing similar to Him. He is true in His promise. He is too high to be unjust to His creatures. He stands by equity among His creation and practices justice over them through His commands. He provides evidence to his creation of His being from eternity and superiority, through their marks of incapability of His power, and through their powerlessness against death, disease, qadar etc. He is One, but not necessary just in the sense of mathematical counting. He is everlasting without, any limit. He is existent without any support. Minds admit of Him without (any activity of the) senses. Things, which can be seen, stand witness to Him without confronting Him. Imagination cannot encompass Him. He manifests Himself to the imagination with his help and refuses to be imagined by the imagination to prove his might He is not big in the sense that volume is vast and so His body is also big. Nor is He great in the sense that His limits should extend to the utmost and so His frame be extensive. But He is big in position and great in authority. Not only on this world but nowhere can we ever ask Allah with out connection (wasila). In reality, Every thing in universe has a wasila. That’s why Quran says in surah al baqara: Quran 002.255 SHAKIR(translator): Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Ever living, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great. When ever Muhammed (pbuh) and his family help us or do any action, it is after the permission of Allah. Because they are totally guided by Allah. The Quran says : He does not speak out of [his own] desire. It is but a Revelation revealed. (Al- Quran: al-Najm, 53.3-4) The Holy Quran further supports intermediary for approaching towards Allah when it states: "O' you who believe! Be mindful (of your duties) to Allah, and seek the means of approaching toward Him." (Quran 5:35) The following verse proves that one can seek a Wasila by approaching the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Allah Ta'ala states in the Holy Quran: "And if when they do injustice unto their souls, then O Beloved! (Prophet pbuh) They should come to You and then beg forgiveness from Allah, and the Messenger should intercede for them, then surely, they would find Allah most Relenting, Merciful." (Part 5, Ruku 7) and he who rejects quran is kufar! and the prophet Muhammed (pbuh) is not a mercy of Allah for a limited time. In Quran Allah say: Quran 021.107 YUSUFALI: We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures. SHAKIR: And We have not sent you but as a mercy to the worlds. There is no time limit. He pbuh is still a mercy and there is no ayat in Quran which say that mercy of Allah (i.e Muhammed pbuh) has changed its shape and that he has not the same affect anymore (naoozoobillah). He has always been a mercy before this world to for all creations and always. n our opinion and that of our teachers, pilgrimage to the shrine of the Master of Messengers (my soul be sacrificed for him) is the most exalted of proximities, the most important of blessings, and the greatest of means (wasilah) for attaining lofty ranks. It could be said that it is an enjoinment almost to the degree of obligations, even if it requires the trouble of a journey to perform it and there is no other option other than to make efforts with life and wealth. Tawassul to the Prophets, saints, pious persons, martyrs and the righteous during supplications, whether in their lifetime or after their death, is permissible in the following manner: Allahumma inni atawassalu ilayka bi-fulan an tujiba da'wati wa taqdia hajati (O Allah! I beseech you by means of so and so a person, accept my supplication and grant my request).[ I could go much further and state and discuss the very many other verses and hadeeth which legitimize intercession but I think this is enough for now. If anyone wishes to question, object, refute or even challenge what I have said the I invite any comment, challenge, request sincerely. There are many many other hadeeths and verses we should really discuss with regards to this matter and if any of you sunnis or salafy/wahabis/jews/athiests still object then we will happily discuss more. w'alaikum asalam wi rhamatalhi wi brakatu,
  4. He who is salafy is kufar! and before you post again, try to exercise a little thinking first: A wise man first thinks and then speaks and a fool speaks first and then thinks.(Imam Ali a.s) A fool's mind is at the mercy of his tongue and a wise man's tongue is under the control of his mind. (Imam Ali a.s) He who follows abu bakr and umar are ones in need of help. Hadith Al-Munasabah The Holy Prophet (pbuh&hp) said: "Whoever contests Ali in regard to the khilafah is an unbeliever." Sunni Refernces: Ibn al Maghazili in his Manaqib (Tehran), p.45, from Abu Dharr al Ghifari, Allamah Ayni Hyderabadi in Manaqib Sayyidina Ali (Alam Press, Charminar), p.52, from al Khatib al Khwarazmi and Ibn al Maghazili. Next time you wish to talk bring some sense to the table and we will happily converse. w'alaikum asalam
  5. The answer is NO as far as regular communication is concerned. In quran Allah says: “And behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised.” (Al-Mu’minoon: 100) Meaning behind dead people is a world of Barzakh where they will stay until the Day of Judgment. No dead person can exceed the stage of Barzakh. Al-Barzakh means interval or a barrier between two things, and technically, it stands for an intermediary stage between this life and another life in the Hereafter; it’s an interval between death and the Day of Resurrection. A number of Hadtih state that if the dead person is righteous in his or her life, he/she will be in one of the gardens of Paradise, his/her soul will be in Jannah (Paradise) just like the souls of martyrs will be in Jannah, but this will be different from entering Paradise in the Hereafter. However, if the person does not comply with the rules of Allah in this life, he/she will be in one of the pits of Hell-Fire. According to my understanding all scholars have unanimously agreed that no one can communicate with the souls of dead people whatsoever. However, there can be communication with the soul of the deceased in dream; and this can be interpreted by people who are expert in interpreting dreams. This is because the soul of the living person, when sleeping, departs the Dunya (life) and experiences a brief death, as Allah, the Almighty, says: “And He it is Who takes your souls at night (in sleep).” (Al-An`aam: 60) This explains why the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny, used to supplicate upon waking up from sleep, saying: “Thanks are due to Allah Who has raised us up after causing us to die, and to Him do we return.” Finally, this is as far as "regular communication" with "relatives" are concerned. It does not mean that for example martyrs who have strived in the way of Allah are beyond contact as you may all know and this of course is entirely different matter and must be distinguished from the direct and "regular" contact which the questioner is asking about. asalamu alaikum wi rhamatalhi wi barakatu, wi salawat ala muhammad ale muhammad. "Verily, knowledge is a lock and its key is the question. " "Allah does not accept any act without knowledge, there is no knowledge without act, so whoever knows, knowledge leads him to act, and whoever does not act gets no knowledge, but belief is a little of a little. " (Imam Ja'far asadiq a.s)
  6. Assalamu alaikum Thank you for raisinig this subject which inshallah will be of great interest to many. quantum mechanics to put it simply is the study of matter and radiation at an atomic level. It was developed in the early 20th century as many experimental observations with regards to the atom and the elcetron arrangements were found to be inconsistent with the theories of "classical" physics. I personally do not like to use the term "classical" physics when discussing physics but when we say "classical" we are refering to the physics developed by Netwon, Gallelio etc. As there are no specific questions asked I will speak very briefly about this branch of physics. Now, one of the main examples of the inconsistenties relates to the "movement" of electrons around the nucleus. At basic level of science you learn at school, you are taught electrons "orbit" the nucleus and in such a manner very similar to planets orbiting the sun. However, according to newtonian mechanics, the electrons would simply spiral into the nucleus and crash within a fraction of a second of "orbiting". If you are unaware why this is the case and interested in finding out, then we will do our best to explain,so feel free to ask, although if you have studied angluar motion (involving centripetal accelaration/force etc) at any level then you should be able to work it out inshallah. Anyhow, obviously electrons dont simply spiral into the nucleus otherwise there would be no life or chemical processes etc. In order to explain the actual model of electron behaviour around the nucleus a completely revised approach to quantum physics was needed and hence Quantum mechanics. Now, I do not wish to bore any of you by providing a detailed account of this branch of physics at this present time, I think it would be of greater benefit to invite any questions and either myself or the brother who posted earlier who has studied this field would inshallah be more than willing to answer and provide any the required explanations. However I will just mention the areas which quantum physics concerns itself and is able to describe which the original "classical" physics/mechanics cannot. These include: Discreteness of energy The wave-particle duality of light and matter Quantum tunneling The Heisenberg uncertainty principle Spin of a particle, of which may or be not be familiar to you through your studies of either chemistry or physics at fairly elementary level. Also in response to the brother who seemed to make the suggestion of activity occuring faster than the speed of light, well , there is no evidence for such thing and not only would this go agianst Newtonian physics but also einstien's theory of relativity. our equation m = m(o) / sqrt( 1 - v^2 / c^2) makes it very obvious that no matter can ever move faster than the speed of light. W'alaikum asalam, Maytham
  7. Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters Ibn Sina (avicenna) was born in AH 370/AD 980 near Bukhara in Central Asia. The exact village where he was born if you wish greater specificity, was reported to be afshana (southern Russia in todays world), although I must stress that alternative locations have been reported by some sources for his birth place as you may have noticed yourself. In anycase, Ibn Sina grew up and was educated in Bukhara which was where his mother was from, his father was reportedly from balkh. For you further interest, Ibn Sina moved to Jurjan which is near the Caspian Sea. Here he spent a lot of time and wrote part of his greatest book, the Qanun. He also spent time in Ray(near today's Tehran) and then moved to Hamadan where he was buried. May I take this opportunity to express my delight at the level of interest being shown towards this tremendous character. I myself have yet to read and consider his works deeply (so far I have only read and considered brief decriptions and summary of his ideas and philosophy). However, his works are certainly worth considering and if any of you would like to discuss some of his works here, or would like greater detail on any aspect of his life ,origins etc, then I would certainly be happy to offer as much of a contribution as I can , in order to help involve as much of his valuable works as necessary into such a site as this. This is also my first post since joining this site and I look forward to offering involvement into the many great discussions/questions that occur within this site. May Allah's blessings be upon you all. asalamu alalikum wi rhamatalhi iw baraktu
