  1. Are you from Nigeria? Or do you merely rely upon hearsay? There are 90 Muslims overall in Nigeria. Are you then claiming that Shi'ah are 27% of Nigerian Muslims? Please stop spreading lies. It does us no good. Imam 'Ali (peace be upon him) burnt the progenitors of the 'Alawis/Alevis alive. That shows you the attitude of true Shi'ism to those infidels. You sound here like a Turkish supremacist. Anyway, your claim is balderdash. I guess you disbelieve in these verses: We sent a Messenger among every people saying: ´Worship Allah and keep clear of all false gods.´ Among them were some whom Allah guided but others received the misguidance they deserved. Travel about the earth and see the final fate of the deniers. Every nation has a Messenger and when their Messenger comes everything is decided between them justly. They are not wronged. We have sent you with the truth bringing good news and giving warning. There is no community to which a warner has not come. (35:24)
  2. Alawi and Alevi are merely variant spellings of the same word. Would you mind telling us about their "strange" beliefs?
  3. How many of the ahadith of Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) are in Sahih al-Bukhari, the most authoritative book in Sunni Islam? And, how many has al-Bukhari narrated from the major Sunni scholars? When you get the answers to these two questions, you will know the reality of the Sunni claim. Perhaps, @Panzerwaffe can help you with the answers.
  4. Imam 'Ali (peace be upon him) burnt them alive, while the subsequent Imams (peace be upon them) cursed them. What have I done yet? Besides, are you saying I should call them Muslims?
  5. Ghulat are worse in kufr and evil than non-Muslims. This is the 'aqidah of Shi'ism.
  6. You never cease to expose your nasb. Are you saying that Imam 'Ali (peace be upon him) appointed a "naive and inexperienced youth" as a governor?
  7. Considering that you are an 'Alawi, I would advise that you accept Islam first, before talking about Islam or Muslims. Where did you get this bad joke? Cutting yourself in the name of mourning anyone is a bid'ah - pure and simple. Trying to justify a bid'ah is a bid'ah in itself. The Christians have nothing to do with the heresy of tatbir within Shi'i Islam.
  8. The Qur'an itself answers (7:181): And of those whom We have created are a people who guide with the truth and thereby they do justice. So, there are people in the Ummah who guide others with the Truth. If the Qur'an only had been sufficient for us, these people would never have existed.
  9. The Qur'an is an Imam. There is absolutely no doubt about that. Meanwhile, the Qur'an also mentions the existence of other Imams in addition to itself (13:7): You are only a warner, and there is a guide for every people.
  10. Both groups of reports are mutawatir. In the Shi'i manhaj, if a situation like this occurs, we look at that group which contradicts the Qur'an, and we throw them to the dogs. This is based upon the teachings of our Imams (peace be upon them). Sunnis have no solution to this problem. The ahadith about wiping in the Shi'i books are mutawatir, and are backed by the Qur'an. Any report that contradicts them is a "decorated lie" according to Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).
  11. And a munafiq is not a Muslim?!! OK, why then did the Prophet allow Ibn Ubayy to perform jihad with him? Would you mind shedding light on that? I asked about a person who NEVER contradicts the Qur'an. The above is your answer. Then, I have more questions: 1. Are you a mumin? 2. If yes, does this mean that you never contradict the Qur'an? The Imams are announced by Allah too, through His Messenger. The Zaydi concept of 'ismah is laughable, because it allow "imams" who sometimes contradict the Qur'an.
  12. I will no longer answer any of his questions until he addresses our previous answers.
  13. According to the Qur'an, Imamah is the Covenant of Allah, and it is appointed by Him. What you stated is another clear proof that the Zaydiyyah are indeed deviants. How do you know if a prophet has truly been appointed by Allah?
  14. When you come here throwing around baseless accusations, you should naturally not expected to be treated mildly. Are you saying (i) that 'Abd Allah b. Ubayy did not die a Muslim or (ii) that he will be in Paradise? Anyway, Hadith al-Thaqalayn is very clear. If you do not follow the Ahl al-Bayt, then you are misguided. Hadith al-Thaqalayn states specifically that the Ahl al-Bayt NEVER contradict the Qur'an. That apparently destroys the laughable concept of 'ismah of the Zaydiyyah. I would like to ask you: if there is a man who never contradicts the Qur'an, what would you say about him? Provide the authentic Shi'i reports first. Then, we will talk. I have no reason to feed your accusations. Do proper researches. When you have the proofs, then bring them.
  15. Taqiyyah is anything you do out of fear. The fear might be fatal. Or, it could be another type of fear. For instance, as recorded in the Sunni books, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) failed to reconstruct the Ka'bah upon its original foundations because he feared that his Sahabah would apostatize. THAT was taqiyyah. Yet, he did not lie about anything. Taqiyyah does NOT mean telling lies about your Deen. Yes, one may do that if he is confronted by Sunni extremists like ISIS and others. However, in ordinary circumstances like this, where the Sunni poses no immediate fatal danger, why would anyone do that? Taqiyyah has its rules, circumstances and conditions. And ALL Muslims and ALL Muslim countries practise it. Even Yasir the Pretender, he practises taqiyyah even though he denies it. There were 12,000 saints of Allah among the Sahabah according to a sahih Shi'i hadith. As for the ahadith about their apostasy, none of them has a reliable chain. If you disagree, present any with a good chain. 'Abd Allah b. Ubayy died a Muslim too. Yet, he will burn forever in Hellfire. Dying a Muslim means little. Dying a mumin is the key. If you deny the Imamah of any of the rightful Imams, or you attribute Imamah to anyone not appointed by Allah, you are then a deviant. You might as well have problem with the general Islamic concept of 'ismah, which even Sunnis sometimes affirm for the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family). The Prophet has informed us that his real successors would NEVER contradict the Qur'an. That is sufficient for us.
  16. Anyone who dies while knowingly rejecting any of the Twelve Imams (peace be upon them) has no hope of salvation. The point is clear.
  17. I would like to see your evidence for the part in red. Yasir al-Khabith is only a pretender. Taqiyyah is obligatory in Shi'ism - and whosoever abandons it before the rise of Imam al-Hujjah (ajfs) is no longer a Muslim. Yasir has abandoned it. So, do the maths. Secondly, Yasir tells lies a lot, and has regularly attributed lies to the Imams (peace be upon them). You cannot seriously put value on the words of a worthless man like that. If 'Abd Allah b. Ubayy who denied the nubuwwah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) could be a Muslim, how then can Sunnis be non-Muslims? The only outright non-Muslims among Sunnis are the Nawasib - those who hate or insult any of the Twelve Imams (peace be upon them) or their Shi'ah (may Allah protect them). Abu Bakr and 'Umar were definitely Muslims. There is no doubt about that. They recited the two Shahadah, and that is all that is required to be a Muslim. But, were they believers? Did they have iman? That is a different question. Anyone who rejects a man from Allah certainly has no iman or loses his iman. The khilafah cannot be seized, taken or stolen. But, there can be false pretenders, who claim to be khulafa even though they are not. This happened between Prophet Harun (peace be upon him) and al-Samiri during the absence of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him). I need your evidence for the part in red.
  18. Any human being who hears about Islam or Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and has means of researching about him but chooses not to do that, he is doomed forever in the Hereafter if he does not die a Muslim. Any Muslim who hears about the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) or Hadith al-Thaqalayn, and has means of researching about them but chooses not to do that, he is doomed forever in the Hereafter if he does not die a Shi'i Ithna 'Ashari. There is a third category. They are people who have never heard about Islam or Prophet Muhammad, and have no means of finding out or researching about them, such people are called mustad'afun. If they are good human beings, they have hope in the Hereafter. The fourth category are Muslims who have never heard about the Ahl al-Bayt or Hadith al-Thaqalayn, and have no means of finding out or researching about them, such people are also called mustad'afun. If they are good Muslims, they have hope in the Hereafter.
  19. Do you have an Imam or not? According to the Qur'an, there is always an Imam on the earth (13:7): You are only a warner, and there is a guide for every people. Also, according to the Qur'an, there can never be an unjust Imam 2:124): And when his Lord tested Abraham with certain words, and he fulfilled them, He said, ‘I am making you the Imam of mankind.’ Said he, ‘And from among my descendants?’ He said, ‘My pledge does not extend to the unjust.’ You mentioned the existence of some fabricated Sunni ahadith. Yet, the burden is upon us to find them for you. What are you smoking?
  20. Do you have an Imam now? Please answer "Yes" or "No." You prefer the personal opinions of Sayyid Kamal al-Haydari, and reject the mutawatir ahadith of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Whosoever does not follow the Ahl al-Bayt has no chance of salvation - unless he belongs to the group of mustad'afun. There are mutawatir ahadith to this effect. When a scholar says anything that contradicts the Qur'an or authentic ahadith, his words have zero value in such a case.
  21. As-Salam 'Alaikum, In this thread, I want to discuss the centrality of the doctrine of Imamah to the salvation of any Muslim in the Hereafter. Let us start with this Sunni hadith, from Sahih Ibn Hibban: أخبرنا أبو يعلى قال : حدثنا محمد بن يزيد بن رفاعة قال : حدثنا أبو بكر بن عياش عن عاصم بن أبي النجود عن أبي صالح عن معاوية قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم : ( من مات وليس له إمام مات ميتة جاهلية ) Narrated Mu'awiyah: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Whosoever dies without having an Imam, dies a death of Jahiliyyah." Shaykh al-Arnaut comments on the hadith: حديث صحيح A sahih hadith. Imam Ahmad b. Hanbal has also recorded in his Musnad: Narrated Mu'awiyah: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Whosoever dies without an Imam, dies a death of Jahiliyya." It is a hadith which is sahih li ghayrih, and this chain is hasan. And, this is a hasan hadith from al-Kafi, of Shaykh al-Kulayni: ! Narrated al-Fudayl b. Yasar: Abu 'Abd Allah, peace be upon him, started speaking to us one day and said, "The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family, said: 'Whosoever without having an Imam, then his death is a death of Jahiliyyah.'" So, I said, "The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family, said that?" He said, "I swear by Allah, he said it." I said, "So, everyone who dies without having an Imam, his death is a death of Jahiliyyah?" He said, "Yes." Then, al-Kulayni records another hadith, that has a sahih chain, which explains the reason for this: ... He (Imam al-Sadiq) said to me, "O Abu Muhammad! I swear by Allah, if Iblis had prostrated to Allah, exalted be His Name, after (his) disobedience and arrogance, for a period as long as the length of the existence of this world, that would not benefit him and Allah, exalted be His Name, would not accept it from him as long as he did not prostrate to Adam as Allah, the Almighty, the Most Glorious, commanded him to prostrate to him. This disobedient, infatuated Ummah is like that after their Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, and after their abandonment of the Imam appointed for them by their Prophet, peace be upon him and his family. Therefore, Allah the Most Blessed, the Most High will never accept any (good) deed of theirs, nor will He ever raise up any good deed of theirs until they approach Allah, the Almighty, the Most Glorious, through where He commanded them, and they follow the Imam whose wilayah they are commanded to follow, and they enter through the door opened for them by Allah, the Almighty, the Most Glorious, and His Messenger...." Basically, if you do not follow the Imam appointed by Allah and His Messenger, Allah accepts none of your good deeds. This is why, whenever you eventually die, your death is that of Jahiliyyah. You die without having a single good deed before your Creator.
  22. Brother, Sunni hadiths mentioning that the feet must be wiped have been narrated by several Sahabah also. Let me show you a few examples. This is the report of Imam 'Ali (1) from Musnad al-Humaydi: This is the report of 'Uthman b. 'Affan (2) from Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah: This is the report of Ibn 'Umar (3) from Sharh Ma'ani al-Athar of Imam al-Tahawi: This is the report of Ibn 'Abbas (4) from Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq: This is the report of Anas b. This is the report of Rifa'ah b. Rafi' (7) from Sunan Ibn Majah: This is the report of Tamim b. Zayd al-Ansari (8) from Sharh Ma'ani al-Athar of Imam al-Tahawi: This is the report of 'Abd Allah b. Zayd al-Ansari (9) from Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah: This is the report of Aws b. Abi Aws (10) from Tafsir al-Tabari: These are TEN Sahabah. There are others too. But, these are sufficient for tawattur. All of them are about wiping the feet. Sunnis ignore them and pick the other ones about washing. On what basis have they done that? They cherry-pick their own ahadith, and pretend as though reports in favour of wiping do not exist, or do not have authenticity or tawattur too.
  23. Study the Qur'an to get the basic principles first. Once you have absorbed these principles, then when you read the texts of the various sects, you will be able to see them better in their true lights.
  24. In that case, we look at the mutawatir ahadith. Technically, everything is in the Qur'an. However, the details are oftentimes found only in the ahadith. The mutawatir ahadith are next in line - in terms of authenticity - to the Qur'an. They are more authentic than "sahih" ahadith. To be honest, I think you should concentrate on studying the Qur'an itself for now. The other aspects (especially those relating to ahadith) are more technical, and a new comer might not understand much of them.
